I need to get my phone replaced due to a cracked screen, i was wondering what if anyone have replaced there phone if they get the real droid bionic or a refurbished one that does not have the same quality as the droid bionics you get from the store?

I suggest u call instead of doing it online, reason is everytime i called to have my phone replaced i would get a new one in the box and everything but the two times i tried online i got refurbished phones.

I called and got a refurb. And if OP has full insurance then cracked screen is covered.

Since they don't make new Bionics anymore I would be surprised if you had the option of new in box. My guess is the only one's they stock are refurbs, also that's much cheaper for them to replace than an original.

Hi,
Good or not...:
The radio is great on the nexus 5...
The radio SUCKS!...
It's YOUR threads, plus this one...
It makes sense to put the antenna at the bottom. With all the talk of Brain Cancer caused by cellphones. When used as a phone, It puts the antenna the further away from your head. And if I remember my physics, radiation level drop fast with distance.
If you read the Safety Instruction with the phone It states that they have to conform to certain regulation about antenna power
Just tried it with my N5, and it does not happen for me.

Been missing the nexus 6....been thinking of trading my g4 for a nexus 6....should I? Wait for an unknown like the new n5 or something I know and love?
just traded my one-month old htc m9 for and n6, by far im good with it.
I'd trade ya if I could. I love my n6 but I always wanted a g3, g4 even better.

I have been holding onto an AT&T Nexus 6 that I bought so that I could have one on Verizon I bought a 64 gig from Google when the price drops, so some guy just traded me an LG g4 for the Nexus 6 from AT&T. Problem is now I have a phone that literally won't work on Verizon, but I think the phone is worth a little more so I decided to trade the guy. So now my 64 gigabyte phone just went down and I'm waiting on an RMA

For you, G4 is much better than N6?
Traded a 2 week old One M9 for my N6 at Verizon. Best decision ever.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
G4 is definitely easier to handle, as it is smaller in size...noticeably smaller. The N6 has a brighter and sharper display and no lag whatsoever. It depends on what your needs are.

Well OP has had both. He had an N6, then got a G4 and now wants an N6 again. I think he should just make the decision himself

Why? People tell that M9 is butterly smooth and fast, and has an perfect size to grip.

If you not consider the camera, which G4 is obviously the right coice, isnt N6 best overall? Hasnt it a better battery life?
Thanks

Note 4 has a bigger battery and a more power hungry processor. The note 5 has a bigger battery then the S6. There are reasons I want it and reasons I dont. I do like the extra ram and battery size. I have to see how I feel about the size. I love the size of the S6 Edge. It will be hard to let go of this phone.

5.1.1 is released?
Without any knowledge of what improvements there could be,
I have little interest in taking the update.
Especially since we cannot keep root.
However, it is cool that it comes with the fix for stagefright.

If you do a quick Google Search of Stagefright you will find multiple articles saying the same thing;
namely, Stagefright is a security flaw that affects 95% of Android devices, and because of ASLR, it is very difficult to exploit.

Even though the VZW Firmware flyer is available, it doesn't seem like anyone's got it yet. I'm guessing it hasn't been rolled out just yet. If it were, we would've gotten some confirmation from someone . . .

Freakin' sweet!
When you have it installed, tell us what changes you see.
I read elsewhere that the 5.1 update should have massive improvements to the camera,
but Verizon likes to leave some features out and put others in.
Since this is 5.1.1 there will definitely be security patches....

Mine came up as not on the list. I got my phone on 8/26/2016 so I'm being cautiously optimistic for the time being.

I'm curious to see if certain carriers are more affected than others. VZW here and not on list. Either way, now with the USCPSC involved all phones will have to be replaced so am not sure this checker is effective:
CPSC and Samsung are working cooperatively to formally announce an official recall of the devices, as soon as possible. CPSC is working quickly to determine whether a replacement Galaxy Note7 is an acceptable remedy for Samsung or their phone carriers to provide to consumers.*

So the CPSC has engineers that can tell of the phone is fixed? The new Notes were supposed to be available this week until they got involved. Big government doin it's thing...
T-Mobile here and confirmed on the list of effected phones. I am pretty sure I am just returning mine for a full refund and going back to my Note 5 for now. I got the free Gear Fit 2 which was the main reason I pre-ordered the phone. Now I can just return it and wait and see if they do another free promotion later to try and boost sales or maybe go with another device.
You get to keep whatever was free during original Note 7 promotion.

Understood.
