Are you running 4.2.2 at the moment? If so, go to Settings>Display, gestures & buttons and change the 'Home' button setting to act as menu

The new HTC One has been released. However, only 2 visible button is presented. Home and back button. So do anyone know how the HTC One to access the other functions like "Multi-task" and "Menu" ? Is the "hTC" icon in the bottom of the phone also a functionable button?

From what I just read, double-tap on home brings up recent apps. Not sure about the menu though...it probably uses the 3-dot menu standard in ics and above.
If you ask me, I'd say they should've ditched the buttons or whatever they're called and just put some extra screen real estate and give us a software/onscreen navigation bar.

Double tapping home gives you the recent apps while holding down home will launch you to Google now. I'm not sure about the menu system. Its probably the 3 dot system like the above post.
Yes no one seems to know how to access the menu.
Access menu is the 3 dot on screen, just like htc one x

Extremely late but NEVER knew this or saw it posted anywhere else. Thank you!
How to get rid of this and use home or back button as menu without different kernel? Thanks Xda.

Right now, you don't.
Aww was hoping there'd be a way.. Htc should have included the option to switch like in sense since they put some sense things in GE anyways.. Smh.

you can. add qemu.hw.mainkeys = 1 to the end of your build.prob. youll loose the ability to map to another menu button unless you install a custom kernel. and also install the modaco toolkit to get the menu button in apps which have them mapped to the action bar
It's coming back in 4.2.2 if you are sticking with stock rom.
Hello,
I'm on Viper Rom 2.6.
Is there any kernel which allows to use the HTC Logo on the bottom as a power button?

Not sure about acting as a power button, but they do act as a wake button:
Go in to Venom Hub > Downloads > Kernels > Most of the kernels listed give you the option of htc logo as wake.
Don't think so. You can button map long or double press of the home/back buttons to give you the power or reboot dialogs on viper 2.6.0

Using the SinLessROM GE 4.1 it has PIE controls built in, I map it to the bottom and when you press the htc logo it will bring up the pie controls. Then you can map apps to those buttons. Also, MoDaCo toolbox allows wake using volume if your interested in that.
Just got S5 active.
Using app My cast lite.
Can't get into menu to turn off notifications without using the menu button.
Since they replaced that with the Recent Apps button, how do I Aves the menu in apps like this?

There is a way. Download Gravity box (KK) and open it. Then scroll down and click on navigation key actions, then modify the long press and single tap for Recents Key
