adb push a rom.zip to your phone while booted to recovery (adb push nameofrom.zip /sdcard/) This will take a while. Once it's done, try flashing the ROM and see if you profit.
There have been times that somehow other things get corrupted to a point where nothing will mount so nothing will flash. Sometimes fastboot erase cache will work, but almost always relocking and reunlocking your bootloader, then adb pushing a rom, then flashing the rom will work
TWRP also has a sideload feature (advanced>sideload)
Code:
adb sideload name_of_rom.zip

Where can I find the Stock rom for my phone model (version-main: 3.18.709.2)? Or can I flash another ROM like CM10?
TWRP is available only to use with the phone or Windows too?
My phone is without any data in storage.

Can you still access bootloader (vol- and pwr from off)? If so, from fastboot, go ahead and flash a custom recovery (TWRP) with "fastboot flash recovery nameofrecovery.img". Now reboot bootloader, and boot to recovery. Then you can try either sideloading a ROM (any custom ROM), or adb pushing the ROM to the device, and then flashing. Either way - you'll need custom recovery since your bootloader is unlocked. Alternatively, you would need to relock the bootloader, then find the 3.18.709.2 RUU (or newer x.x.709.x RUU) and run it from fastboot.

Yes, I can access the Bootloader. Where can I find this custom recovery? I dot not have any backup :/
I guess the 1st option (flash with "fastboot flash recovery nameofrecovery.img) is the easiest way to bring it back to live!!

I cant find anywhere the Stock RUU RUU_M7_U_JB_50_hTC_Asia_TW_1.20.709.101_Radio_4A.1 3.3227.06_10.27.1127.01_release_307831_signed_2_4. exe
The link of this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39588860) is off! :/
Any way?

I pushed the rom to sdcard and when I try to flash the zip says: E: Unable to mount internal storage. Any ideia?
It happens with CWM and TWRP

I reinstalled the TWRP and can use the sideloader and the flash the rom. It is back again and 100% solved. Thank you very much for your attention!!

Relock your bootloader, then htcdev unlock it again. Than start the process over (fastboot flash recovery then adb push or sideload the Rom). I've had this happen a couple times and each time this has fixed me

[Q] please help me restore my One

Good day all
I have been running CM 10.2 on my One for some months. Recently its started playing up so ive decided to go back to stock.
Ive googled the process. Fastboot works OK and see's my One connected OK.
Im having issues figuring out what RUU I should be downloading. Initially I went for RUU_M7_U_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.29.401.2
After a number of minutes it failed and said something like it cannot use this on my phone. My phone is a UK purchased unlocked device. Can anyone point me at the correct RUUI should download?
Looking at the fastboot screen I can see that my OS is 2.24.401.8
hboot is 1.54.0000
Please, any pointers to get a stock OS installed and my device booting again.

You can flash this (compatible with your firmware, CID & MID): http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/guru_reset_m7_2-24-401-8-zip/
if you want to receive OTAs, you'll need to select "stock recovery" (which will overwrite custom recovery).

If you have unlocked bootloaders then download twrp or cwm and rename to recovery put the file in the fastboot folder.
Then type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
this will flash the custom recovery.

Do one thing install a custom rom like ARHD etc. and then S-off your phone using rumrunner.
This is going to be one of those jobs that just fails and all I end up with is a bricked phone.
I am a mac user and was using a windows XP VM to communicate with me phone using fast boot... When I try to push a recovery image XP fails badly and reboots...
I can't boot camp my mac because I'm running without a CD drive and boot camp needs a CD drive before installation.
Any tips on how to get my phone sorted using a mac?

1- just use mac versions of fastboot & adb, i believe you can find them here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2365506
(or google for them)
2- do you care about having your phone "out-of-the-box"? that entails much more work. Can you live with an UNLOCKED or RELOCKED bootloader, and possibly the TAMPERED sign?
3- if you don't care about ^^ (2), then just use the Guru Reset ROM, i linked before.
get adb and fastboot working on mac, then in bootloader/FASTBOOT USB:
fastboot flash recovery <name of recovery>.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
-> enter recovery
adb push <name of guru>.zip /data/media/0/
then in recovery choose "install" and select the Guru Reset ROM.
Ok so i reloaded the recovery image. Rebooted and hey presto Cyanogenmod 10.2 loaded again. Phone is now working BUT I would still like to go back to stock.
With that in mind I followed your instructions above and tried to load the Guru zip on to the SDCARD. The ADB process finishes and it says its copied the file over but I can never seem to find it whe i load the recovery and try to install from a zip file.
Questions. Am I right in thinking I can continue to load the Guru zip to attempt to get back to stock?
What am i doing wrong?

if your phone is booting up again
just copy the guru.zip to the phone storage from your mac
no need to "push" if your phone is booting up
To confirm, I am now copying the zip over.
Is there a chance of me bricking the phone again or will the Guru zip return the phone to stock and allow OTA updates?

yeah the Guru reset was designed to put the phone back to stock
it uses an Aroma installer .. choose Stock Recovery to be able to receive OTA in the future. but you won't be able to flash any custom roms or Root with the stock recovery
that seemed to do the trick. phone is back stock.
after initial setup t imediately downloaded and installed a small update. rebooted and then asked to download another 4.3 675mb big update. that one seemed to reset the devce to new again. after setup the 2nd time i can see it didnt work as the phone was as if i had just completed the guru install...
thoughts?

[Q] Bricked phone Need Help

I bricked my phone. I think its a softbrick because i can still get into HBoot. I had rooted the phone using htconeroot.com and wanted to go back to stock. and I tried using htc1guru.com to go back to complete stock and It worked but the touch did not work and I was back to 4.1.2. So i did the 4.3 update and now I get hung up on the HTC Logo and have no recovery. All I want to do is go back to stock like it originally was and getting my phone working again. to flash a custom recovery
I'm hoping you have knowledge of adb or slightly at least. If not, do some googling and brush up because it's very handy (and easy)
Boot phone into bootloader
1. connect to PC, your phone should read 'Fastboot USB'
2. Open a cmd window in adb/fastboot folder (Shift and right click, then chose 'Open command window here')
3. drag a recovery.img (TWRP or CWM) into the adb folder too
4. type: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img, it should flash within a couple of seconds
then you can try using the recovery to sideload a rom via adb.
I'm not sure about stock since i've never had any issues with custom roms recoverys etc. but many guides are available if you are trying to revert to stock.
good luck

You can't mount USB via twrp. Sideload or Push is the only 2 options.
drag zip to adb folder
adb sideload rom.zip
then wait until it's done, the script should run automatically on the phone after completion

I would also remove your serialno! Follow the steps in this post. You can use TWRP 2.6.3.3 or TWRP 2.7.1.2 as well as the one in the post.

I couldn't find a RUU for your phone, but here is a nandroid backup use Method 2. If you need the stock firmware you can get it here to run it your bootloader must be LOCK/RELOCK.

If I am following you correctly these are the steps you took:
First you flashed the firmware. Which firmware did you flash?
Then you unlocked the bootloader and installed a custom recovery. Which recovery?
Then you restored the nandroid from the post. Did you select root after the nandroid installed?
Then you cleared cache? Why?

I think the firmware you are using is not a compete package, generally firmware removed from OTA don't have all of the elements just those needed to run the OTA. Get a .401 stock firmware from this Placeholder of HTC One Firmwares.

Hello, i'm sorry i don't know what to say because i have almost the same problem, my htc one m7_UL won't start...is shutsdown sometimes at boot time, when i take photos with it...and sometimes what ever else, but in recovery mode it can still houers and houers. yesterday i brought it to s-off then i installed an RUU...but still the same problem !!! is it a material issue ??? thank you.
Within TWRP you should wipe data (not custom) to recreate data, system, and etc. folders. This will also wipe whats on you sdcard so, you'll have to adb push new files to your sdcard to flash a rom.

Try to get back into TWRP, in TWRP flash this stock ROM Method 1. I am guessing that when you say you restore that you are talking about the nandroid backup you got from the site.

Stuck in bootloader/recovery

Hi, i've bought an htc one m7 stuck in bootloader, trying to fix it.. this is what I see in bootloader
** TAMPERED **
** UNLOCK **
** Security Warning **
M7_U PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.57.000
RADIO-4T.28.3218.04
OpenDSP-V32.120.274.0909
eMMC-boot 2048MB
i've tried to unlock bootloader, succesfully and after the reboot it access directly in twrp 2710 recovery (maybe the previous owner flashed it)..
so, i go in advanced, then in adb sideload to transfert a custom rom (eg. revolution) but my phone switch off the screen and my pc try to install qhsusb_dload driver, without success.. so, I press the power button for 20sec (circa) and switch off completly.. and back again in bootloader, that relock automatically every reboot...
how can i fix it? :crying:
Thanks!

Ah.. Another thing that I have noticed is that in twrp the driver isn't installed by windows.. In "device management" I see a "one" device with a yellow exclamation (I've installed htc sync) .. Windows can't find any compatible driver in my PC.. if i look into hardware details, this is the id:

EDIT: about the driver i've installed it modifying android_winusb.inf adding this lines:

P.S. Why every time the phone is rebooted it relock the bootloader automatically and I have to unlock again to access the recovery?

You need to flash a firmware package, or at very least a stock recovery. I have searched all over the net but I can't find any thing not even an OTA.zip
I think your version main would be 5.12.901.3 since that appears to be the latest version with hboot 1.57. But there simply aren't any files for that.
Best suggestion I have for now is, as your able to unlock. Unlock the bootloader
Code:
fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
and flash an unbranded stock recovery this one maybe https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95864024717070745
Then use that to do a factory reset. Reboot and see if its locked. If it is unlock again with
Code:
fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Check to see if problem is resolved.

It must be unlocked otherwise the custom recovery wouldn't load. So you could push and install a rom, but after its installed the rom you will need to reboot. If the bootloader locks it won't boot the custom rom.
You could also try to dd (direct dump) a stock recovery while your in custom recovery. Maybe that would help?

Is the device working ?, have you authorized the device in Developer Options as this impacts the device connection in ADB..
As for ROMs you might find it here, if the device is S-Off any version will do, otherwise the version should be same or higher than the version installed, as for steps and everything else, you can visit here
The basic idea is to have a stock Recovery and stock ROM, to get back to full stock, 1st flash stock Recovery via ADB, then flash stock RUU, NEEDLESS TO MENTION ALL DATA WILL BE WIPED.
The other way is for someone to provide a Nandroid image which you can use TWRP to restore, I doubt this is available anywhere, searched everywhere, this is partial stock.
Hey, the device is working fine and is s-off.
Adb is working, too. Only the fastboot does not Work. So i start with back to stock rom and then i go back to stock Recovery? But how can i flash the stock Recovery without fastboot?

When you say fastboot does not work, could you elaborate a bit more ? Can you enter fastboot but the device does not show ? Do you have the USB drivers installed for your device ? uninstall the software that came with device, just install the USB drivers, fastboot requires authorization from device, does your device receive authorization, if not then you can Revoke USB Debugging Authorization from developers option, restart device AND you need to remove all traces of USB drivers from PC from device manager (if you are on Windows), restart PC, reinstall drivers, reconnect device, and try to receive authorization to get fastboot to work.
What ROM are you on currently ?
1st you flash Recovery, then you flash ROM.
If fastboot does not work then you will have to flash the RUU via ADB, but again first you have to flash Recovery first via ADB.

Yeah that's right, i can enter Fastboot but the device does not show up. I think so that i've installed the drivers, since adb works fine. HTC software is and was never installed. USB Debugging is active in the dev settings.

==EDIT2==
I found this collection: http://www.handy-faq.de/forum/htc-one-mini-2-firmwaresammlung-ruus-otas-backups-t309020
I just noticed that i'm still s-on and not s-off. So I'll first flash the recovery 2.19.111.5:
fastboot flash recovery 'filename'
http://www.handy-faq.de/forum/htc-o...ng-ruus-otas-backups-t309020/#comment-2817813
and after that the firmware:
fastboot flashall 'filename'
http://www.handy-faq.de/forum/htc-o...ng-ruus-otas-backups-t309020/#comment-2817816
Or did i forgot something?
==EDIT==
i still had an backup of my own stock rom, so i'm back on HTC Android 4.4.2 with Sense 6.0 and Telekom branding. Only steps i need to do next:
unroot,
remove twrp,
relook bootloader.
will this be done after i flashed the recovery as shown in my edit 2?

Recovery to use for your device : https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347828369 / The recovery you are point to is for International/European unbranded devices as is my device..
There is going to be a problem seemingly, since you are S-On, you will not be able to flash this RUU for your device since you are already have a higher version and for this RUU an updated version is posted here separately, in this case flashing will fail both via ADB and Fastboot.
Since you have mentioned you have a backup of your own stock ROM, I'm assuming you are talking about Nandroid backup which you have restored, frankly I cannot recall flashing stock recovery after Nandroid restore, you will have to test it out.

yeah it was a nandroid. Next step i flashed the recovery (branded version found here: http://www.handy-faq.de/forum/htc-o...ng-ruus-otas-backups-t309020/#comment-2817813
and now when i select recovery from hboot i get a black screen showing a smartphone with an red ! on it. I guess that's what the stock recovery does, correct?
so last step, how can i relock the bootloader?
Given your response, could you confirm your device can boot OS, as the red ! mark appears when there is no OS ?!
If no OS then I need some time to find the updated version RUU, else the only option remaining is to keep it Nandroid with TWRP for partial stock..
If OS boots then you can use command
Code:
fastboot oem lock
to relock bootloader..

red ! is only when i boot into bootloader and select recovery. Otherwise stock T-branded Android 4.4.2 boot perfectly. locking worked fine as well.
Thank you for your help, everything is stock again :good:
