I should have been more specific, my apologies.... I want the click sound when i lock the screen.... Its just the speciffic one when u swipe to unlock... That sound only..
If i go into settings>lock screen... It will silence all sounds for lock screen.... I know it sounds petty... Its just annoying

Rooted..want to remove "phone locked" screen

Hi,
I have a Samsung Captivate Android 2.2 GalaxyS that is rooted....
When I turn the phone on a screen comes up that has "phone locked" on it and I have to swipe the screen to unlock the phone. Is there a way I can get rid of that "phone locked" screen and go right into the phone on boot?
Thanks
Donna aka gramme
You can change it to a different style from application>display.
Don't see anything there!
Hi,
Thanks for the response it is appreciated. I do NOT see anything under display to change or turn off the screen swipe. I would like it to NOT be there at all....
Thanks

Try No Lock in the market.
No lock doesn't work
Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried no lock before and just now I tried no lock screen. It works as long as the phone is on so that if I just put the phone on standby and come back I don't have to slide the screen but if I reboot the phone the "phone locked" message come up and I have to slide the screen to unlock again. I want to get rid of the BOOT "phone locked" screen...
Thank you

Then you have to use smali and baksmali on the android.policy.jar. This is where the lockscreens reside. I don't have the knowledge to remove I just know where they are.
If it bothers you so much you might wanna try cm7 it has an option to disable the lock screen completely. But its up to you, I'm just putting my 2 cents in

I really don't think this is even possible (without serious edits to the policy.jar file like was said above me). Heck even the iPhone boots into the lockscreen where you need to swipe to unlock. It's really not that hard to flick your finger across the screen is it?
It is if you don't have fingers? Lol

I'm sure someone has done it... I tried looking a few months ago but gave up.

[Q] Lockscreen

I don't know why, but my lockscreen have this message "Emergency", Somebody can help me, giving an idea to quit this?
To another side, what about an aosp JB Lockscreen?
You sure it's not just the option to make emergency only call while the phone is locked?

Where this option is?
Hit the emergency message, if it brings up a dialer that's what it is, or provide a screenshot.

Just to clarify, it is an emergency call button you have?
To disable you'd have to install and configure a custom lock screen. For example, WidgetLocker

Why does it vibrate like 5 seconds after lock?

Like the title says, I'm wondering why the phone quickly vibrates twice like 5 seconds after a screen lock. Anybody else notice this?
EDIT: actually I noticed its only when the screen is touched after its locked? Pretty annoying.

Weird mine doesn't do that at all. You got an app or anything running in the background perhaps causing that?

Under Controls -> Motions there is a setting for "Smart Alert". That's probably what you are feeling. It vibrates when you pick up the phone and you have a notification and the screen is off to let you know there is something you missed.

I was kinda close about an app causing it lol
I have the same problem, you dont have to touch it. Smart alert is turned off. When I lock the screen itll vibrate twice a few seconds later. I cannot figure out what it is and it just started after the android 9 update

I have the same issue on my Note 10+ and cannot find a solution. Smart Alert is already turned off so it is something else. It happens if the volume is set to sound or vibrate and the only way to stop it is to set the phone to silent. Hopefully someone here can share an actual solution.

Silent boot possible without root?

One of the first things I always want to do with a new phone is turn off the stupid boot sound. Is there a hidden setting somewhere to do this on the AT&T GS5? With root it would be easy enough to change the audio file. Not looking for an app that kludges around the issue by muting when you reboot.
I only know about having the phone in silent or vibrate to have the boot silent.

Me too, I make sure it is on silent before restarting my phone, when I dont want it to sound off while booting up.
