Rom tweaking app.. - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I have this phone for a month now and have been trying roms... So if someone could help me here with a question. Is viperOne the only rom with a tweak app? Cause all other roms need to do stuff in aroma which is kinda boring and might cause problems..

Have you tried installing the xposed framework? Some nifty mods you can add with that.
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium

Arhd has the sense 5 toolbox, gharrington also offers 3minit framework mods, seems like it's just getting started on the One, but on the s4 the options are unlimited

Viper is the best for Tweaking atm.
Because with a click you can tweaks all you want.
The toolbox need a flash from recovery, and if you don't like some thing, you have to reflash.
The xposed framework is another solution, but there isn't all the option that Viper give

The Sense 5 toolbox is installed as any other apk... it does not need to be flashed in recovery!
It is an Xposed module and like any other changes are made by selecting/deselecting options and any number of changes can be made without any need for re-flashing or re-installing.
Please don't provide the wrong information to other users.... as an RC you should know better.

Ok thanks for your opinions
I'll stick with viperOne which has basically anything a user can need.

Nice find .could you please post a link to his thread on the Chinese forum? I'd like to see what else there is there
And nice to see an fsync toggle. Turning it off should see an increase in benchmarking performance, as well as slightly better battery. However if your phone randomly crashes, you might lose data. You have been warned. I keep it on.

Guys,
Could any one let me know the minimum frequency supported and list of available of governers please? Any one who tested with incredible s, please share your results
Since the Laozhu Z6 rom thread is closed I have to post this here.
After some time of use I must say it's the best Sense 4 rom I tried (and I tried them all ), and the only one that's fully working. It's a pity why all developers around the world can't try to cooperate and work together to bring us the best user experience.
Also it is a shame why most of developers keep their work for their needs only. As we all know this forum is about sharing, not restricting and banning, trying to mark some of us as better, smarter and more important, that can make something that nobody can. I agree, but share some of that knowledge. When you start speaking about restrictions I immediately notice some similarity to Apple and their 'intellectual property' policy.
Don't get me wrong, all respect to our developers, they made a lot for us. But just screaming around on everybody about your m10 files and tweaks is a pretty disgusting for me. I know you will say that you made it and you claim all right on it and that you have to give permission, but I will ask you when did you get the permission for your sources, and by that I mean on HTC as the source of all RUUs? And you will say that they posted it for download, but did you exclusively asked them to use it, like you demand? Just like them you posted your work for download, so does that mean that it is free to use it?
And to conclude, instead of acting an overimportant human beings, try to cooperate with people that are able to fix all your mistakes and problems, and like some other devs try to post all you tweaks in a thread available to anyone that need it (like Leedroid tweaks and other), not trying only to collect as much 'thanks' and donations you can get.
Cheers.

Stock Rooted Odex/Deodex

Disclaimer: Flash this ROM at your own risk. I am not responsible for what you do on your device. I left this stock to provide a base for anybody that wants to use it. Mod this rom how you want. Just please remember to give credit where credit is due.
This is a pure stock rooted rom. It has items like busybox, init.d support and so forth. No apps were added or removed. Both Odexed and Deodexed versions below.
This is using stock unmodified kernel from HTC. Kernel source can be grabbed from HTCDev

There are few zip's. Could you please advise me which one should I flash? Thanks.

Yes that's due to system protection in the kernel. Can't fix it till HTC releases kernel source. If you want to remove something you have to do it in recovery

Has anyone that flashed 1.08 either manually or via actual OTA lost LED function? Like doesn't show for charging or notifications?
EDIT: nvm. They put an option to turn it on and off in display settings

That option was there before too, but it reset it to "off" after updating. It's off by default in the shipped rom too, for some odd reason.

V4a audio

Is there another Rom, besides Elegencia that supports this sound mod? I like to keep close to stock, had a look around but can't find much!

You may want to check out SinLessROM SE edition. I use SinLessROM GE which has it. When the dev posted he was making a Sense version, he said it would have the same features. I'm not sure if V4A is in the SE edition, but the dev is pretty quick to answer questions and puts in features on request.
Insertcoin is very close to stock and support v4a in the aroma installer

V4A is "supported" by nearly any rom out there..
You can just install a rom and install the V4A driver/mod and it will most likely work.

[Q] Xposed framework

Hi guys, I'm writing here just because I want to know one thing about xposed module:
- does it work on Desire c running cm10?
I've just looked the official thread and I saw this
I develop the Xposed framework based on the AOSP sources. I'm personally using CM10.1 on an I9100 (Samsung Galaxy S2, bought in Germany). Basically, it should work on any phone which with a ROM based on Android 4.0 or later and an ARM processor (this is the processor architecture, most smart phones and tablets have one). Exceptions might be ROMs which are different from the original Android code in some very internal, central code parts (which don't need to be touched for most theming and enhancement modifications). Examples are Miui-based ROMs (see known incompatibilities below). But this is related to the ROM, not the phone itself.

.
I know, I can make a backup and restore it in case xposed module doesn't work, but I don't like so much to make backups (it tooks very long and I don't know if is just my phone that spend all this time or not)
I hope someone can help me
It's works and its awesome!
I love you. Next step: install it and start editing

I'm trying to use xblast tools too, but I don't know how to use it... I've installed xposed installer, rebooted, installed xblast tools, checked in modules, rebooted again but it doesn't work (I tried to set a background image for notifications)

Apparently, we cannot change the notification panel (color or image) using Xblast. I tried a lot. I wanted transparent.. Then finally, I had to do it myself by decompiling SystemUI. Now I have transparent..
Try the other options like center clock and clock color, Status bar color, Carrier label. They all work

I second that. It works great.
Another module I use is XlockY by the same developer as of Xblast tools. It helps do some cool things in lockscreen like changing lockrings and all.
Although some ROM-dependent features dont work here too.

Pretty sure you need a custom rom to do this. I did this using the viperone rom before.
Yea I know that. But I'm sure there is a way to customize it on any Rom just don't know where to make the edits.

I'm sure @O.M.J probably knows, among others.
You don't need a custom rom. Install Xposed and then download and install either or both of these modules: Sense 6 Toolbox and Xsense.
Those two apps have tons of customizations. Its so customizable that I haven't even flashed a custom ROM yet.
