[Q] Xposed framework - HTC Desire C

Hi guys, I'm writing here just because I want to know one thing about xposed module:
- does it work on Desire c running cm10?
I've just looked the official thread and I saw this
I develop the Xposed framework based on the AOSP sources. I'm personally using CM10.1 on an I9100 (Samsung Galaxy S2, bought in Germany). Basically, it should work on any phone which with a ROM based on Android 4.0 or later and an ARM processor (this is the processor architecture, most smart phones and tablets have one). Exceptions might be ROMs which are different from the original Android code in some very internal, central code parts (which don't need to be touched for most theming and enhancement modifications). Examples are Miui-based ROMs (see known incompatibilities below). But this is related to the ROM, not the phone itself.

.
I know, I can make a backup and restore it in case xposed module doesn't work, but I don't like so much to make backups (it tooks very long and I don't know if is just my phone that spend all this time or not)
I hope someone can help me

It's works and its awesome!

I love you. Next step: install it and start editing

I'm using two modules XBlast Tools and Hack Connectivity.
Ignore the second one.
The first one is awesome.

I'm trying to use xblast tools too, but I don't know how to use it... I've installed xposed installer, rebooted, installed xblast tools, checked in modules, rebooted again but it doesn't work (I tried to set a background image for notifications)

Apparently, we cannot change the notification panel (color or image) using Xblast. I tried a lot. I wanted transparent.. Then finally, I had to do it myself by decompiling SystemUI. Now I have transparent..
Try the other options like center clock and clock color, Status bar color, Carrier label. They all work

I second that. It works great.
Another module I use is XlockY by the same developer as of Xblast tools. It helps do some cool things in lockscreen like changing lockrings and all.
Although some ROM-dependent features dont work here too.

[03/06] Hinted White Lockscreen - Official Gas update

If you are a fan of ClassicalGas's work (e.g. you use his JAMT theme chooser theme) and would like to use one of his lockscreen's then look no further:
http://themedroid.com/2011/06/hinted-white-lockscreen/
Gas has updated the theme for use on CM7. Here are the instructions from his site:
Install ZipThemer (consider donating for this wonderful tool)
Download the zipped file
Open ZipThemer and press “+Theme”
Locate the downloaded file
Press “Build It!”
Create undo file
Flash outputted file via recovery or RomManager
Enjoy
Screen shots below (also from Gas's website).
Thanks for doing this! I Hadn't got around to it myself (and probably wont for a while).

Awesome! Thanks a lot.

Hi Gas, no problem at all! Happy to help
Worked perfectly! and looks awesome with the JAMT - White Gradient theme!!
-Evo, CM7,n76
Yessssssss!
hm. cant get it to work.
It flashes alright but only thing changeing is the 'answering sliders' not anything on the lockscreen.
Im running JAMT-donate via the theme manager and im guessing i might have to use the system-defult to see the changes(?).
Any way to solve this?
Running latest cm7 nightly on Nexus S
Noone that can point me in the right direction?

I think the sliders are themed by the theme chooser so it may not actually be changing anything. Is it flashing properly?
(You might wanna remove the number from the pic too)

I think it would, there may be a few redundant images in the zip you could delete to streamline the package but the sliders should theme.

[Q] Porting xposed apps

Hi
Can someone port for our galaxy mini these applicatons:
XposedInstaller - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401

Rom tweaking app..

So I have this phone for a month now and have been trying roms... So if someone could help me here with a question. Is viperOne the only rom with a tweak app? Cause all other roms need to do stuff in aroma which is kinda boring and might cause problems..

Have you tried installing the xposed framework? Some nifty mods you can add with that.

Arhd has the sense 5 toolbox, gharrington also offers 3minit framework mods, seems like it's just getting started on the One, but on the s4 the options are unlimited

Viper is the best for Tweaking atm.
Because with a click you can tweaks all you want.
The toolbox need a flash from recovery, and if you don't like some thing, you have to reflash.
The xposed framework is another solution, but there isn't all the option that Viper give

The Sense 5 toolbox is installed as any other apk... it does not need to be flashed in recovery!
It is an Xposed module and like any other changes are made by selecting/deselecting options and any number of changes can be made without any need for re-flashing or re-installing.
Please don't provide the wrong information to other users.... as an RC you should know better.
Ok thanks for your opinions
I'll stick with viperOne which has basically anything a user can need.

Sorry, when i saw it, i saw a zip file, so, maybe i'm remebering wrong
And, however, the toolbox have a fewer number of tweaks

Xposed Framework - What's safe and what's not?

Now that we have root, I want to finally utilize the phone!
What's safe to do in XPosed framework and what's not? What are common things people use it for? I'm familiar with flashing ROMs but haven't really used xPosed aside from installing one module for allowing better battery stats to work with Kit Kat.
I use the exchange security hack and the greenify module.

for me its safe to use
BUT if you downloaded a module NOT for you device or rom so you may get force close with the app that the module is modded (eg. module modded the settings app, so the settings app may not work) (you'll need to disable the module)
and its don't effect to the battery life :good:
thats all i got!

Are you able to enable Soft Keys with GB? I'm super nervous about doing a few things since we do not have recovery (900A).
My warranty flag is still 0x0, but BootManager caused my kernel boot animation to change to the "Custom" unlocked padlock symbol.

Might have to do with system apps being restricted from startup. And I've heard that changing from art to dalvik can trigger the custom status but just a thought

I have not. Someone else posted it doesn't work, so I guess that's the answer. I use GB to tweak the status bar mainly b/c I like the date to show and I hate the stock TW white color. Other than that I don't mess with too many of the settings it can manipulate.
I've had better luck with Wanam Xposed than with Gravity Box on the gs5.

Will have to check out Wanam Exposed. I was really hoping to have lockscreen widgets again.

It goes back and forth for me. Different Xposed modules will add that message to your boot sequence, but a few reboots and it should go away.

How stable is Xposed on the GS5?

I just rooted with Towel root and did all the goodies (debloated, etc). I'd like to use Xposed for Gravity box or Wanam. I noticed some threads are complaints about the phone acting up after installing the framework, others say it's module associated.
Curious to how stable the framework is. Is anyone experiencing anything without running any modules, or with Wanam/Gravitybox?

Depends on what you want, I did the Xposed and Wanam, but lost private mode and S health. They worked fine but I do use the S health, so waiting to see if someone can get them all playing well together.
I have no issues with anything. Bloat gone and Knox disabled. I didn't buy the S5 for all of Samsung's gimmicky features, so I don't care if they're there or not.

this is what you do to get s health to work:
Make sure the Xposed isn’t installed.
We need to change build.prop file inside the system partition, you can also get it done manually by using a file manager app or get a build prop editor on play store.
Once you find the build.prop file, look for the “ro.securestorage.support=true” line.
Now change the line to “ro.securestorage.support=false”.
Install the Xposed framework again.
The final step is wiping S Health app data, head to System -> App Manager -> ALL -> S Health then wipes the data. Now your Galaxy S5 should be able to runs Xposed framework and S Health simultaneously without any problems.

I tried this, but I could never get s health to work again even with Xposed uninstalled. I have gone back to unrooted stock for now.
All is good using Wannam, Exposed G-Touchwiz and RootCloak!
Just remember to enable the modules after you install and reboot to insure they're active.
