I found a rapid car 2.0a car charger, fyi - G2 Accessories

Just got it in yesterday.. Tried it today, works great! No notification of "slow charging" and it goes much quicker than my regular standard usb charger does (the old ones for my gnex).

I have this one, the USB plug labeled 2A works for fast charging with my OEM LG micro USB cable, and the micro USB cable that came with my original Motorola Droid Razr.

Check out "ventev" product line up. They are a little pricey, but they have a great warranty as well as smart chip technology that stops the charge when the phone is fully charged.

the ps vita car charger works as well

Correct me if I'm wrong, But isn't 2A too high a charge rate for the G2?? The base for the GNEx is .15A, which is why we get the slow charge indication. The charge port that comes with the G2 is rated at .3A. I would think that the rated 2A charge in this thread would damage the battery over a period of time.

The stock lg charger (AC) is rated at an OUTPUT of 1.8 amps. So these should be fine in a pinch for car charging. The gnex was 1.0

A 2A port will give you Quick Charge. I'm pretty sure you can have over 2A on a port, and the device will only pull as much power as it needs. As long as the port is rated 5V, it'll be fine. It's 2A/3A/whatever available, not how much the charger forces into the plug. Kinda like how a home outlet is rated at 120V and usually 15A; devices will need to be rated for 120V and will pull only as much amperage as they need.
I might get this one because it's compact and has two ports at 1A and 2A.

I'm considering something similar... but then I'm going to have to find a USB cable that's confirmed to do rapid charging. Might just go with the OPs

spec me a car charger!

Hi,
Sorry if this has been posted before, but i couldnt find anything! I'm basically looking for a car charger to charge my HD2 in the car. I've looked on ebay but they all seem rather cheap? are these ok to use?
Anything with a micro USB plug would do, as long as it has 1000mA output. Motorola has one that will work well with HD2.
Alternatively, you could buy a DC to USB adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter and then use a micro USB cable to connect your phone. Again, make sure the adapter is rated 1000mA. My advice, stay away from cheap ebay stuff when purchasing power supplies. Not worth risking your phone's battery or worst just to save a few dollars imho.
Example of a result of using cheap chargers in the car ...

Could i just buy one of these and use the usb to micro usb cable that came with the hd2?

i just ordered one of these 2 amp ones from amazon uk.

A bit dramatic aren't we...
If you want one which should be reliable:
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/htc-hd2-cc-c200-micro-usb-car-charger-p22081.htm
I would stay away from the cheap ones too. Not because of risks to phone or car (in practice both should be fine), just because they probably wont last as long.
Belkin are a big brand and should be fine (although I have had a belkin mains adapter fail with my touch pro). Yes, It would work with your htc micro usb cable (thats why they put a usb socket on!).
I like that idea, perfect for the car, or when traveling in rentals or other peoples cars.

That is exactly the one I am using! Loving the tiny size, too
Get one now!
Free Man, the BalckBerry charger should work well, too.
Correct me if I am wrong but when you charge the phone via the computer's USB port, as far as i know, the max output you can take is 500mAh. So I guess it is fine even with 500mAh car chargers..
Well, yes it is OK to charge with 500mA, but then how much time have you got? I have tested a few chargers rated 500 mA and got the message that it needs more juice while shooting a video in the car... I guess if time is not an issue and the phone just sits there idle, a 500mA charger will be OK. However, if you use it for navigation it will struggle to keep topping up your battery.
motorola p513
it is ok this car charger? i found that it is an 5V @ 850 mA. If it is not enough i will cancel the order.
Go with a 1A (1000Ma) Output. That is what the original charger is. I used a Blackberry charger at .5A and it would take 24H to charge a dead battery while the phone is turned on.
For those of us going from a Nokia small pin to HD2 with Nokia car chargers already, this looks good. Jumper
there is a kensington car charger that is nice and small too, with a tapered end which is more likely to fit compared to the square end belkin version (see amazon reviews), but the charge output is only 700mA not a 1000mA. See here

this is the 4 port usb charger that charges the samsung galaxy note 10.1 without any adapters, only one port will charge it properly but that is all you need and you can charge your phone (mine is a note II) with the other and have 2 more ports for ???
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CCYZ0FM/ref=oh_details_o04_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
it does need some superglue on the sides, as the case split a little on me, but for what it does and is and for the price, I'll glue it.
I'm using the Apple 10W USB AC wall charger. What I like about it is the USB receptacle - it doesn't connect on the sides, which is very annoying when you're charging from an power extension board. It also has a lot less electrical noise, so using it to charge an unmodded stock Galaxy SII doesn't affect the touchscreen sensitivity. And because the AC head is detachable, I can switch it with other heads or use an AC cable.

I'm using the original cable that came with my Note 2, sometimes the Galaxy S2 stock cable. There's no difference in time taken charging when using either cable.
It's like they're made for each other

Samsung Convertible Wireless charger?

Ok I got my 128gb card and my Samsung wireless convertible charger today. I also have last year's wireless charger. I set my new wireless charger up and when connected my phone it says charging. When I put my phone on my older one it says fast charging. Also when I put it on the wall plug it says fast charging. Is anyone else having these problems?
Nope. My new Samsung charger came with a new adaptive fast charge adapter and usb c cable. Says fast charging. I'd never spend that much on a Samsung model. Still doesn't charge properly in portrait mode. My $15 youshare wireless fast charge base works just as well

I figured it out I have a 3.0 charging hub and when it is connected to that it does not fast charge. But if I hook my phone straight to the hub it fast charges. So it has to be a Samsung wall plug for it to fast charge.
Yup I have a 6 port anker qc hub but the fast chargers all require the stock wall adapter for some reason. The aftermarket ones are the same way

The Samsung wireless charger from last year works on my Anker hub. It's just the new one. Not a big deal its not like it's going to charge any faster.

It could be charger specific using different protocols. I have an Mbox 4 port qc 2.0 car charger that will not charge the note 8 in fast charge mode. I had to purchase another charger that is qc 3.0 to get it working.

Notice the packaging for the new (Note 8) Convertible charger has been changed to a slimmer, nicer box. Wonder if they changed the charger it's self?
I have noticed mine will only say wireless charging and not fast wireless charging sometimes. If I take the phone off and pit it back on it jump to fast wireless charging.

Fast charge only works with wall charger

Neither my portable charger or my car charger will fast charge. Both used to fast charge back before with my S7.
Is there something different about the note 8 that prevents it from quick charging? Although if you look at the time remaining till fully charged it isn't much below the plugged in time.

Nothing different on Note 8, should work fine. Have you tried another cable? Cheap cables are usually the main culprit & the stock Samsung cables IMO are not quality cables.
Also it's not uncommon for aftermarket chargers to have the QC circuitry fail. I've have 2 Tronsmart chargers fail, one a car charger, the other AC. Still charges but not fast charge. I usually trust & have good experience with Anker stuff but I have had an Anker power bank fail for fast charge. But on that power bank it was a defect, it failed right away as where the Tronsmart charger I had failed after 6 months or so. Most of my cables are Anker & I haven't had any issues with any of the Anker cables I've had since fast harging came out.
I use Amazon cables. The one in my house will fast charge with the wall charger but not with the portable charger.

Here is the difference in charge time left between the two charges using the same cable.
Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Try charging to 20-30% then try the car charger again & see if switches to fast charge then.
I thought that fast charging was made by the phone comunicating with the charger an asking it to switch from 2A at 5v to 1.67 A at 9 volts, fast charging being a two part process, the device able to accept it, and a charger able to switch amperage and voltage, in samsung devices normal charge is made at 10W, (2A x 5V) and fast charge at 15W (1.67A x 9V), but, again, the charger must be able to switch this parameters

Best Charging adapter and cable ?

So when I bought the phone I didn't get the Original charger that come in the box.
I have been using a Ugreen 20W PD+ Ugreen PD cable.
But the charging patterns are very weird. Sometimes it changes at 4000mA, sometimes 2500, sometimes 1500, even 500mA.
Can anyone explain and suggest the most suitable charger with fast charging?
I'm using Docomo L-51A version

I highly recommend the Belkin 27 watt USB C charger. What makes it A Cut Above the Rest is that it not only has Qualcomm 4+ fast charge but also PD 3.0. This means that it supports Wireless fast charge accessories unlike most USC-C fast charge adapters which only have PD 3.0. It's only $11 w/ free shipping right now on ebay. And it's Belkin so it's made well.

Another accessory I recommend to everyone, is a magnetic detachable USB C cable, These are upgraded design that have a very strong magnet that does not accidentally detach easily. It supports PD 3.0 & QC4+ fast charge & data transfer. Using this cable will significantly reduce any wear on your usb c port. It swivels 360° so at any angle you can use the cord and it won't put strain on your phone.
I use it so that it is plugged in to my one port USB C wall plug and I can switch out and plug in any device (usbc , micro USB, iPhone). When my phone is done charging I'll plug in my 18650 battery charger or I'll recharge a flashlight or I'll even plug in my tablet all using the same cord. Very very cool. It comes in 1M & 2M length. It only comes with 1 magnetic attachment( your choice), so you have to buy more if you want to use more than one device, but it's worth it.
