Samsung recently posted an ad on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nwuk90Gc2A) it shows Messi holding the note 3 but his version has a black keyboard. Does anyone know how to get that keyboard on our phone? Thanks in advance!

It looks like the Google keyboard. Which you can get from the app store. SwiftKey has a better black keyboard.

I normally use the Google keyboard but I actually really like the stock keyboard. Love that dedicated number row.

Seems like the stock one I'm actually used to the one my custom note 1 had so I just flashed that wonder why they would advertise the phone with something that doesn't come stock with it

I did like that dedicated number row. But geez. It takes up half the screen, and is ugly imo

That's definitely not the Google Keyboard.. it looks nice, though!
I am currently using AI KeyBoard. You can make it have the top row of numbers as well as a lot more customization features.. no swyping, though.

No that isn't it. The keyboard in the video looks like it is a stock samsung keyboard with the number row at the top. I suspect it maybe the N9005 or N9000 model that has a black keyboard???
I'm actually impressed with the stock keyboard so much that i haven't even installed swift key yet and I'm not sure i will. Light years ahead of the stock Note 2 keyboard.

Hey all, there is a new app called TouchPal that is a nice alternative to assist with keyboard skipping if your using a gingerbread rom. The app has amazing predictive typing functionality. Check it out in the android market. Its free

TouchPal is like there brand name they have TouchPal dialer which is also awesome along with a slew of other TouchPal stuff. But I do agree "TouchPal keyboard" is really epic. Using it as I type this! Better than swype imo.

I still prefer swype...it seems more...stable. but TouchPal is much more "beautiful."

I was using SwiftKey X but it gave me some minor problems--now I'm using A.I.type keyboard, I really like the iPhone emulation it has available, the word prediction/completion leaves something to be desired, however.
Does anybody have this problem when you delete a word and press backspace too fast it deletes the whole typed text. It I is very annoying. I like the keyboard otherwise but will switch to something else.

Not yet I don't think, theres more to sense than just the launcher. I'm sure theres a senseless rom somewhere in the works.
Thank you. I like how minimal sense is but the screen is pretty big and I love customizing the heck outta my phones. Having control over things like icons, icon arrangements, and the grids on the screen.

So I really like the stock Samsung Keyboard (specifically its layout) but it doesn't learn new words and its just annoying to have to recorrect auto corrects all the time. Am I missing how to fix this in the settings without turning auto correct off? What keyboard are you guys using on the Note 3? I've gone back to Jellybean 4.3 for the moment...just curious to opinions to what the best keyboard is.

Anyone that upgraded today have the same issue as me?
After double checking my Android version in settings and seeing 4.4.2, I fast clicked the version number to her to the K that spins. Well, my K doesn't spin at all. I have to long press it to get to the red Android sign, and then long press again to get to the android tiles underneath. My tiles don't float around though. My wife's Note 3 upgraded fine and the easter egg works perfectly. This is making me paranoid that something else isn't right with my upgrade... I just haven't found it yet.

Mine spins, shows k. Tap it, spins. Tap and hold for red Android
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I know what it should do. My wife's works fine. Mine doesn't. Mine doesn't spin, and my tiles aren't animated.

Sounds petty, but I'm just worried about what else didn't update correctly. May have ATT reflash in store.

They won't be able to. As of right now, KK is OTA only.

Could there be a problem with your screen's touch sensitivity? Have you tested that in other contexts? Or tried using the stylus with the Easter Egg?
Thanks. K now spins, but the second easter egg (android logo tiles) do not animate... Aka fly across the screen when you click them. Instead they blink in and out. No animation. Interesting.

Fixed. I had animation scales, rendering etc turned off in developer mode prior- in orde to make phone run faster. Good lesson.

How do you get this Easter egg to work?
Any others that I should know about?

Thank you! I am trying that but nothing happens. I'm tapping it as fast as I can.
My Note 3 is completely stock. I know the Developers is turned on but have no idea what that even means.
Thanks again!

As long as you have a Note 3 that has been upgraded to 4.4.2, you can access this easter egg (or any device that has 4.4, not just a Note). If you go to YouTube and search for '4.4 easter egg’, there will be a ton of vids of people showing how to get there.
