Does anybody have this problem when you delete a word and press backspace too fast it deletes the whole typed text. It I is very annoying. I like the keyboard otherwise but will switch to something else.

Google now was there and worked well, it disappeared by itself. Whatever I try, it doesn't show up the "Google now" menu any more. Does anybody know how to get it back?

At the risk of stating the obvious, have you tried swiping the screen from the bottom up?
It would go under RTFM.

I did swipe from the bottom up. Only Google search bar shows. In the setting on the right bottom, there is no "Google now" option. I read manual many times and couldn't find out.

Try opening the Voice Search app in the app drawer and then going to settings. Does it show bow?

Finally I found a way around. Sign up and add a new Google account, and it is back immediately under both accounts. Thanks guys.

All you needed to do was turn off Google now and turn it on again, works for me.

The problem is that it even didn't give me turn on/off option.

Somewhere i read that in 4.2.1 there was implemented a feature for writing without taking finger away in stock keyboard. In keyboard settings the feature seems to be enabled, but actually it does not work, and i cannot figure out why. Any suggestions?

Not sure why it isn't working but try out this keyboard and see what you think: http://www.swiftkey.net/flow/
Hmm, it should just work. Try clearing the data in the app? (I believe it's just called android keyboard in the "all" tab of application manager)

Thank you for advice. However, I'm interested in making stock things work.

Sorry, i found what the problem is. My system language is different from English, so it didn't work for English keyboard, had to uncheck use system language in keyboard settings and add English keyboard. After this everything works. Stupid of me, lol

This is the first time I've ever had a problem like this. No matter which keyboard I try (I've tried with SwiftKey, Swype and Minuum Beta), the default keyboard keeps switching back to the stock one. It happens anytime the phone has been asleep long enough, so it's not just when I reboot. It happens many, many times throughout the day. Anyone have any clue as to what's going on?

Haha, as if I never thought of that. Looks like Greenify was the problem. All is good now. Thanks!

Sorry for bumping... But I had the exact same problem until I googled it and found this thread. Thank you so much! That was a anoying problem
Samsung recently posted an ad on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nwuk90Gc2A) it shows Messi holding the note 3 but his version has a black keyboard. Does anyone know how to get that keyboard on our phone? Thanks in advance!

It looks like the Google keyboard. Which you can get from the app store. SwiftKey has a better black keyboard.

I normally use the Google keyboard but I actually really like the stock keyboard. Love that dedicated number row.

Seems like the stock one I'm actually used to the one my custom note 1 had so I just flashed that wonder why they would advertise the phone with something that doesn't come stock with it

I did like that dedicated number row. But geez. It takes up half the screen, and is ugly imo

That's definitely not the Google Keyboard.. it looks nice, though!
I am currently using AI KeyBoard. You can make it have the top row of numbers as well as a lot more customization features.. no swyping, though.

No that isn't it. The keyboard in the video looks like it is a stock samsung keyboard with the number row at the top. I suspect it maybe the N9005 or N9000 model that has a black keyboard???
I'm actually impressed with the stock keyboard so much that i haven't even installed swift key yet and I'm not sure i will. Light years ahead of the stock Note 2 keyboard.
I'm on stock rooted. I don't think my issue is rom related or anything. Although I do have Xposed with a few modules running.
Basically here is the issue:
Sometimes when I go to type I will get Google Voice search to pop up instead of SwiftKey. If I close the app and try again SwiftKey will start. SwiftKey is the only KB I have. I deleted Swype and HTC input. Anyone have any ideas?
