Been trying to get the stock recovery back as I'm sending my phone to HTC for repairs (bottom mic seems broken, all I hear is a loud static noise in recorded videos and can only use my phone on loudspeaker as it uses the top mic).
Anyway, I've tried the stock recovery here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2224752 but it won't boot to recovery.
I'm on stock 4.3 sense rom. HBoot 1.54 and *don't know what this number is for* 2.24.401.1
So, can someone help me out with the necessary recovery link?
Also, I know this won't remove the tampered and relocked in the bootloader, but will it matter if I send it to htc this way since its a hardware issue. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Download from here, the recovery 2.24.401.1 and flash it.
After, you can see if it works when you're booting into it you can see a triange with a warning signal

Thanks very much. I'll download it for future use as I've already sent in my device unlocked and rooted. Guess we'll see how well that goes with HTC
I am looking at going back to stock, but I am unable to confirm which RUU file I need. On the bootloader screen I have this:
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.54.0000
RADIO-4A.17.3250.14
O9enDSP-v31.120.274.0617
OS-2.24.980.2
Can anyone confirm which RUU file I need? Thanks

Hello guys.
Unfortunately my phone is going back to get fixed (mini-jack is not working), and I'm currently running Cyanogenmod 7.1.
So I need to unroot it and make it look like when I got it, but what's the easy way to do that? I have read quite a few tutorials and they're quite confusing.
But what info do you guys need to point me in the right direction?
Here is what I can find on the phone:
Android-version: 2.3.7
Basebandversion: 20.2808.30.085AU_3805.06.03.03_M
Kernesystem: 2.6.35.14-cyanogenmod-g9e5cdf1 [email protected] #1
Do you guys need more?
Need more information. are U S-OFF or S-ON?

Yes that is what we need.
First you need to prepare the Revolutionary HBOOT so it can be overwritten by following this procedure:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15732727&postcount=14
Although it states it works with AlphaRevX, it also works for Revolutionary.
Step 1 instructs you to download a RUU, but the link is broken, so just download a stock GB ROM from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1033922
Then follow the steps in the procedure.
Thanks! Starting asap.
I assume any one of these will work, right?

Yes that would be the one I would recommend
Downloading it now .
But I'm not quite sure how to follow these steps?
"3. Start Installation RUU ROM, but DON´T INSTALL !!!!
3a. go tu C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Temp and at last folder find rom.zip
3b. open it, and copy tu folder sdk hboot and instal the same as step 2c. "
I should start installation but I shouldn't install? Doesn't makes much sense right now

You would start the program, but just leave it on the first screen. Then you would go to the %TEMP% directory and find a file named ROM.zip. Once you find the file and copy it to the directory where you have installed the Android SDK tools, ou can exit the RUU program.
Super that makes a sense now .
So what after? I assume its just to make S-ON? Or is it back to stock with stock rom and everything?

Yes it should be back to stock after you complete the steps
I got it up and running yesterday, I updated it fine.. Untill I updated it to 2.3.5, now it won't start anymore. It's just stuck at the HTC logo, before I could fix it easily with simply install the RUU again via http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18079795&postcount=1 .
The first time I installed it I could simply go back to 2.12 using the PG32IMG.zip on the phone, but after it crashed the first time I tried to delete it because the guide says you should do.. Now it's stuck again at the HTC logo after updating 2.3.5 and I don't have PG32IMG on my phone anymore.. So any ideas?
EDIT: I just took the SD Card out, and I'm trying to put another RUU version on the SD card and see if I can get it to work that way.
I have my phone S-off through xtc clip Can i go back to stock ?
Okay.. I think I'm getting closer to a solution.
I managed to get a new rom running and working, so now i'm trying to fix the bootloader.
I followed these steps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15732727&postcount=14
It now says:

HBOOT-6.13.9999

eMMC-boot
Apr 1 2011,18:34:39
So it's still S-OFF, but I assume its gonna get fixed in step 3 which I'm stuck at.
I have the rom.zip, but what should I do with it?
Can somebody explain the last steps for me please?
I think I managed to fix it, at least now it just says VIVO PVT SHIP S-ON RL .. I guess that's correct, right?
Anyway, trying to update to 2.3.5 asap.

OK, so you would extract the hboot.img from the ROM.zip and flash that using the fastboot flash command in the procedure (sounds like you figured that out).
After you do that, your HBOOT should read S-ON (Again sounds like you have succeeded).

You can go back to a stock RUU, but the HBOOT screen will still show S-OFF instead of S-ON because the XTC Clip gives you permanent S-OFF.
Yep that seem to do the trick! Thank you!

HTC Sense Version

and you haven't changed anything before? can you start your device into bootloader (power+volume down) and tell me what you see (does it show locked, unlocked or tampered?)? a screenshot of the bootloader would be helpful

wow, and you haven't modified anything? has this device been used before? your device is unlocked and even s-off!! :silly:
now it's clear why it didn't work. you'll have to relock your bootloader for an OTA.. the command would be "fastboot oem lock", but first you'll need to learn a bit about fastboot/adb stuff..
here's a guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2281365
Thanks! Hope this works (crossing fingers). By the way, what's this update anyway? I read somewhere that the 4.2.2 update for the HTC One came in two installments... one just a few MB in file size, then the other is around 400MB.

You've changed the CID. you have a Vodafone handset but the unbranded CID so it won't work. You need to change it back to VODAP001 and then see what happens
If you want the unbranded handset, seeing as you're S-OFF, then flash the 1.28.401.7 RUU and then you can get the OTAs to bring you up to 2.24.401.8

Hi all,
I have a quick question about the CID.
I am looking to return my HTC One for warranty as the external speakers have stopped working.
My phone is currently rooted.
My current specs:

radio- 4a.14.3250.13
openDSP-v26.120.274.0202

I was wondering if anyone knows the CID for rogers so that I can change the CID back. I have been trying over the last couple days to unroot the phone by following a few threads and videos regarding the issue but I always stop at the end where I try and find the RUU for rogers.
Can someone help provide the direct link for the right RUU for a Rogers HTC One as well as the CID for a rogers? is it the T-Mob?
Thanks all!

These instructions are assuming you are running a Windows OS. If you are not then these exe RUU’s won’t be of much use. You will have to use the RUU.zip files which can accomplish the same results as a RUU from flashing in fastboot. You can replace step 1 below with these steps:
Restoring using a RUU.zip

Extract the rar. You should get a file name like this 2013-08-19.15.36.11(obviously with a different date).
Place the file into /data/media/clocworkmod/backup. Reboot into recovery. Go to backup and restore. Choose restore. Restore the backup. Voila

Hi guys basically i messed up, I tried installing a ruu.zip rom via TWRP which got stuck.
I then hard reset the phone and now there is no OS.
I can boot into the bootloader and TWRP recovery (2.5.0.0)
I have tried to flash several roms via sideloading and OTG but they keep failing.
The phone was rooted and had a unlocked bootloader and was running 4.1.2 android stock.
As you can tell i'm quite the noob. any help would be appreciated.
Forgive me if im in the wrong thread etc

Enter to fastboot and post fastboot getvar all .
Don't forget to delete serialno and imei details on your post.

no that's not what they meant, but it will do, that's not all the info though, does it list your CID in that list, usually HTC__XXX ?

I know he's using the wrong TWRP.
but......... im thinking this is his RUU (based on his current rom version and his baseband version)
http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu_m7_..._10-33-1150-01_release_311663_signed_2_4-exe/
But to be sure I need his cid at least.
doesn't seem to know what he's doing with custom rom's, so this will put him back to stock, at least he'll have a working phone. :good:
EDIT: correction, that's not his RUU.

that is an M7_U ruu, and the OP is M7_UL... but right now RUU is irrelevant / a premature step
i can assume the OP is angry, frustrated, and panicking, so first priority would be to get his phone up and running, just to alleviate some of the tension... so let him flash a proper recovery for 4.4+ ROMs, then the installation will go fine, and then he's relaxed enough not to hit his phone with a hammer
Basically I've had a problem for about 4 days now, I had installed CWM and SuperSU, so my phone was unlocked and rooted. I then decided to install something called ViperOne I believe it was a theme. But I must have missed a major step as my phone only boots to the second part of the HTC boot, it then freezes. I have tried everything to fix my phone, quite literally. And I don't know else to do is my broken permanently? Here is some info:
*** TAMPERED***
*** RELOCKED***
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.61.0000

[Also if it helps I don't have a sd card, thanks!]

if you read the instructions from the ViperOne thread, you should use TWRP recovery to flash it an not CWM.

Tried what said at ViperOne FAQ #2 and 6 ?
Or you can go back to stock by flashing the 7.19.401.2 RUU (look at the sticky threads in the general section)
is my broken permanently?

No don't worry, should be really easy to fix.
And finally you shouldn't flash something if you are not sure what it is...
Thanks alray, I understand the problem I don't have an OS installed. My phone is also on S - On. So I don't know what to do

Read the instructions on "How to Flash" on page one of this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/general/lollipop-ruu-zip-small-collection-t3053944
And then flash this ruu from page 1 also
7.19.401.2
It will erase all data on device.
