Chingy, when I try opening corporate exchange e mails that have an HTML picture or document it just opens and closes without displaying the message. I tried disabling html in the settings, not sure what else it could be.

Going from Win 6.5 to Android, the only question that I miss is the versatility of the connection to the mail exchange server.
So I ask, is there a good application for Exchange?
It would be perfect.
Thanks
I used K9 mail app and it worked pretty well, although now I'm using Android's email client which does the job flawlessly. I've got no complaints about it.

I don't really like how there is an app dedicated to "people" and one "phone". Anyone have a good method of combining them into one app? Right now i just have them paired in a folder but i think there can be a better way of grouping. Suggestions please?
Thanks in advance

They are combined, hit search button on dialer, and it will bring up contacts..

Not sure why the stock app isn't more like Dialer One. T9 search seems to be a basic functionality feature (With room for more than one single result). Why is Blackberry the only company that has basic functions like that embedded.
Dialer One needs an update...it looks so old.
I see it now, thanks!

This sounds like an extremely obvious problem with an extremely obvious solution but the thing is my Nexus 4 handled it like a champ. What gives?
As always thanks in advance and love you all!

Each device will work very differently. You can not compare it to the n4. Having that many messages restored is never advised.
Bat cave One
obviously it would lag with 17000 messages on HTC Sense Messaging app
Nexus 4 Stock Messaging app is quite light, that's why it handles them smoothly; IMO :silly:
why not deleting some messages
try any other messaging app from PlayStore, like 8sms
I use chomp on the Nexus 4 and now on this as well. It is strange that chomp will lag with the One and Not the Nexus 4 which is technically inferior.

Its not if your running a non sense rom. The nexus was made to run AOSP roms as to where the one was not. Also your transfering them from one device to another. This can cause issues due to diff in the system.
I see so I have no other choice but to delete my texts?

You could try other apps to see how they fair but in the end yes I think your gonna end up deleting some of the texts. To be honest none of the sms apps are really made to handle a messaging data base that size. I have noticed after about 500 they start lagging.
Thanks man I'm going to delete them all now.

Out of curiosity, how long did it take you to amass 17,000(!) texts?
3 years haha!

Google Hangouts. It is able to do Group MMS without glitches/issues.
I've also used Textra. It was the fastest sms/mms app I ever used and it also does Group MMS without glitch/issues.

Also fed up with the crap stock app, I got on here and tried Textra first.. It's good, clean, but lacking a couple of features I really want. First that comes to mind is message count option; I prefer this to be shown in my conversation list.
I ended up with Chomp, and so far it's working great.. with a ton of customization, which I like also! No trouble with MMS; in fact it displayed images out of my MMS's that the stock client would never display.. Old stuff in conversations, not just new messages.
