One of my friend was messing with my one and attempted to flash 3.06 firmware. as usual it asked to run the flash command again but the thing is the usb is now no longer recognised in fastboot and I had to reboot in between. now the phone gets detected in adb mode but in bootloader I am getting usb not recognised with black background with red "OS-3.18.401.2(3.07.1700.1)
Also while booting instead of htc developer message I get a small lock
Which zip you've used?
And, see if in fastboot the device manager can recognize it or it have a yellow warning
i flashed 3.07.1700.1 zip
now in ubuntu i am able to get the fastboot working but i am not able to flash any firmware
when i try to flash 3.22 firmware it gives me remote error

From what I have been able to find out you have a rare combination of MID & CID. Do you happen to know your software version?
The only RUU for your phone is here: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu_m7_..._10-33-1150-01_release_311663_signed_2_4-exe/
but its a downgrade and will require s-off to be used. You may want to consider flashing a "close to stock" custom rom instead

Strange first time i see this. Are you sure your phone is sim-unlocked? Might be related to the TMO version installed on the phone. Maybe you could a try a custom rom or to convert to the international version (7.19.401.2) but will require s-off.

HTC__624 is Chunghwa Telecom. There is only one RUU available for this version.
Good news: its the same version as your phone (4.20.796.8) so you shouldn't have any problem flashing it.
Bad news: Its only hosted at ir-file.com and will require you a paid account to download it (15$ paypal)
File name is PN07IMG_M7_U_K44_SENSE55_MR_Enterprise_CHT_TW_4.20.796.8_Radio_4A.23.3263.28_10.38r.1157.04D_release_350606_signed.zip
to flash it, relock your bootloader first then
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip PN07IMG_M7_U_K44_SENSE55_MR_Enterprise_CHT_TW_4.20.796.8_Radio_4A.23.3263.28_10.38r.1157.04D_release_350606_signed.zip
fastboot flash zip PN07IMG_M7_U_K44_SENSE55_MR_Enterprise_CHT_TW_4.20.796.8_Radio_4A.23.3263.28_10.38r.1157.04D_release_350606_signed.zip
fastboot reboot
@alray : Thank you very much for the information. Still, i wouldn't buy a subscription just to download an RUU
Is there any (free) method of getting S-Off on this particular phone ?

But my friends htc m7 on stock/same network has absolutely no problems whatsoever. I've tried flashing firmware, radios, different roms, nothing has helped. When I do get a signal, it's for a few hours or until I reboot, whichever comes first. Any ideas where to look next?

You should use our RUU thread instead of this incomplete copy/pate
Anyway the RUU you need (if you want to stays on GPE) is not there (neither in our collection) but you can find it here

I flashed different firmware trying to get the radio working a while ago, so I'm back to 7.19.401.51. I tried flashing your 7.19.401.51 decrypted (s-off only) RUU in that thread you linked, but get the error
sending 'zip'... (1641983 KB) FAIL02 data length is too large
FAILED (data size is too large(1641983 KB) for device to download ZIP file 'RUU.zip'
)
Execution time is 15(ms)

and then fastboot crashes. I've been all over google, but most advice is for other phones, and I'm really nervous about bricking. Any advice? Also, I'm using the htc_fastboot, and following instructions in that thread. I've tried with unlocked and relocked bootloader, neither made a difference.

Sorry for the late reply, you should try the signed version instead of the decrypted one...
