im not sure but i think u need to get ur sim unlocked and this is not a free service it is a paid service u need to search for the same

dear it is because it is a sticky and stickies always stay on top is the reason why it is not added all topic added here are the ones which are important to members and are not stuck as i dont want too many stickies crowding the 1st page

hi i have htc tattoo i rooted it by universal androot
and the clockworkmod recovery is 5.0.2.0
when i try to reboot into recovery
the phone shows a triangle inside it exclamatio mark
and
Does not appear the clockworkmod recovery
or amon/RA recovery so
can you help me to how flash or install recovery but not whith SDK plzzzzzzz

[Q] Steps before OS Update

Hi,
What all I should do before I update the Mobile OS?
On reading I can see below:
1) Backup -> I dont have any to backup as this is a new one.

4) Get a good rom (Please help for this)

I am reading those before some one help me to chose a ROM .

Tmobile g1 sim locked

can anyone please help me. coz i think i cant get it to work .
i cant skip the google login. and yes theres a sim lock pin required.
i can access hotboot and recovery , but this is not rooted so i cant install any recovery or rom.

But follow it the best you can, you don't need and active sim to root, its just easier if you do.
Search out the links for whater you can't download or ask here if you can't find them, there is an xda member working on a comprehensive guide with working links, he's doing a great jon encompassing all and I'm sure it will be finished soon, if you can wait just follow that guide, if not follow this one as best as you can

[Q] N7000 4.1.2 root queries - PLZ help RESOLVE some doubts

Hello guys, GREETINGS..
I was a newbie in android a few months back until I found Cursed4Eva forums/vids by ASH & this website..
Thanks to above I have pretty much understood the android concept of root/unroot, roms, flash, kernals, etc..
Now with the help of - (youtube.com/watch?v=rYTnlt1xt4M) I wish to root my Note1.
1. If I just root for now with Link 1 in Downloads section in above video page & say probably in future I wish to install CWM, which is like Link 2 in Downloads section in above video page, then how should I do it ?? Means I'm asking this because the Link1 describes as Only ROOT & Link2 describes ROOT+CWM, I mean whats the procedure to install CWM after ROOT you know ??
2. Is there a simpler way to Unroot, I mean like the same process of root which has minimal downloads, no pc required, etc. This I'm asking wherein I'm just gonna root my device & not install CWM (currently).. I mean I dont wanna download the whole new official rom from samfirmware like - (cursed4eva.com/how-to-unroot-the-galaxy-note)
3. Actually Whats the procedure to unroot & install latest stock firmware coming from Root+CWM & Custom ROM installed ??
4. And finally to receive OTA update on rooted devices do you think this video (youtube.com/watchfeature=player_embedded&v=ky5miA8ilr0) should also work ?? Although I still believe this looks reliable (cursed4eva.com/update-galaxy)
Please resolve my queries which shall enable me to unleash the power of android !!

If you want help here you shouldn't ask for explanations of other forums or obscure youtube videos.
In XDA you'll find everything you need and can be sure that many members verified and used the tutorials here.
What do you want? Root or No-Root, that's the question.
No-Root: Install a Stock JB Rom with PC Odin (yes you have to download it)
Root1: Install a Stock JB Rom with PC Odin (same comment as above) and root it with Phil's kernel (thread in Original Android development forum).
Root2: Install one of the Custom Roms and follow the installation instructions in the related thread of your chosen Rom.

I'd reply to Ash in the comment section below video....Ash is pretty good at getting back to you with answers or he usually also mentions his email address at the end of the video...

[Q] Few basic questions

I have looked quite a lot in xda forums as much as google,though I still have a couple of questions for HTC One.
1.If i turn S-off will I still to be able to receive the upcoming update for android 4.3 in my device?
2.As I live in GR(eece) I would like to ask where the model of my phone belongs e.g google play edition,AT&T-mobile ,Spring ...I tried power button +vol up but didn't see what I was reading in a post
3.And finally if I unlock the device will the OTA update be able for me?
