okay you need to understand the core difference here:
rom flashing DOES NOT sim unlock your phone.
To sim unlock it use pof/olipro's sim unlocker or yes simply call att and tell them you are going overseas and you need your sim unlock so you can use it over there. They are legally bound to give it to you if you have had the phone over six months (i got mine after having the phone for 2 days without a problem).

Yes, its completely LOCKED. No CDMA, No GSM working for 1st slot at the roaming. Changing any settings are not a subject. 2nd GSM slot is working fine. We need S-off and Sim unlocker...
So be aware...

I suggest that you go here: http://bbs.gfan.com/forum.php?mod=forumdisplay&fid=1257&filter=typeid&typeid=8973
and you either learn Chinese very quickly, or use google translate to find your way around.
I suspect if there are any tips for unlocking you will find them on the china website as it is a Chinese market phone1
specifically i suggest you look at this thread: http://bbs.gfan.com/forum.php?mod=v...=page=1&filter=typeid&typeid=8973&typeid=8973

Good news! It is possible and very easy to unlock first slot for GSM cards. Not sure regarding CDMA cards, but should work also. It needs just installed adb and rooted device.
1. Enable USB debugging option
2. Open shell or command prompt and enter the following commands
Code:
adb shell
su
setprop persist.radio.simlock.enable 0
reboot
After reboot it just works!

YES the solution works perfect on HTC 802D China telecom & Desire 609D china telecom
but the only drawback is the handset locks up again if You hard reset
802d
Hi All,
Am using dual SIM (CDMA+GSM) for over 4 years now - Z510d, S710 and now 802D.
802D have dual lock, 1 the 1st SIM is locked to China Telecom CDMA, but when you are outside China, the 1st SIM supports local CDMA, SIM unlock does support GSM as well as 3G.
There is also another lock, only 1 SIM support GPRS/EVDO, but this is only if you are in China, if outside, it supports on both SIM.
If you are foreigner (I suppose all of you are), China Telecom itself unlocks for you without any additional fees. Your warranty dont be void, dont root/fiddle with the nice machine, I just spent 1,000 RMB (160 USD) to fix my board, you either Brick or semi-brink, only way to fix is go back to HTC, wrong flashing burns your cables, which result in MYHTC drivers not working.
There are plenty of professionals who do the Unlocking (mostly for foreigners) online for a nominal charge of 20 to 50 RMB (2.5 to 8 USD).
Please use their service, some engineers have english support, you dont need do anything, connect PC to Phone with their provided SW (teamView) and they do the rest....
ayuda por favor

I just did with a Taiwanese M7 802d (MID PN0751000). It does not work.
UIM slot still refuses to handle my GSM Sim card. If anybody has succeeded in making the first (UIM) slot working with GSM/UMTS Sim card then I will be very happy to know about your experience.
Best

Hello dear,
I want to point out that slot 1 is CDMA and slot 2 is GSM and both slots r locked.
Abroad, you will not be able to use this phone for their local SIM CARDS.
when u say that u unlock 1st slot for GSM, does it mean that u can put a GSM card in first slot and it work???
or u can put other SIM CARD in respected slots and it works.
Await ur reply,
Newton
thanks and best rgds,

Of course, this topic is about 802d that is originally for China Telecom. And I use it successfully in Ukraine with local CDMA and GSM operators.

Second slot is not locked at all. First slot is locked. Solution that I posted in this thread allows to unlock it for GSM. For CDMA it works also on old ROMs, but in modern versions it may need additional changes in configs.
I am buying a HTC One dual SIM model. I live in India. Will ROMs made for HTC One (single SIM) like the Google Play Edition one work on dual SIM model? It should since hardware is same except SD card slot and two SIM slots.

I wouldn't say so as you have a different radio module or at least an extra one - either way you need drivers for those
Did you find any answer for this?
Hi
I have brought a new HTC one dual sim model 802w from Dubai. it's second sim slot doesn't recognize the sim. when I check with the dealer, they says it is a software issue which will be rectified only in next OS upgrades. but they are not giving an exact date for that.
Does anybody know any solution for this problem. I like this phone very much and I don't want to change it.
Thanks
Vinod

Which version of Android is your 802w on? Is it on 4.1.2 ? If so, check for system updates. You should get a 4.2.2 OTA within a few hours (if not immediately).
Did you check in your SIM Manager if the second SIM slot is enabled?

I agree. You should replace it.
Hi Guys,
I have P8 Lite 2017 (PRA-LX1C33B120) and I want to unlock the second SIM slot.
How can I do it?
I already have the phone rooted, unlocked and with TWRP flashed.
I just don't know what is the right firmware to flash.
I've tried some through DLOAD but it just doesn't work.
Can you please help?
Thx
Be very careful with flashing firmwares, a lot of people bricked phones and this one is complicated to restore.

I know... I was reading the other threads. That's why I'm asking help for the build I have.
It seems too complicated, but I really need the second SIM slot.

I do have the single SIM version, but it's possible to activate the second slot by changing the firmware.
The question is, I don't know what firmware to use.

I can tell you that PRA-LX1C432B110 is dual sim firmware, for unlocked EU PRA-LX1. But i don't know if you can just flash it or what are the steps to activate dual sim.

Yeah. That's it.
But I'm afraid to brick the phone.
I only have this one .
Your Phone has an IMEI. For Dualsim you need two. This cannot function. Wait for the next OTA update. If then afterwards only one Sim is active, your device is also laid out technically only for Sim.
Still can operate with one IMEI, did the same with Mate 9 single to dual, both sims working superb.
