Last night my One crashed and rebooted... after the reboot I lost all my folders! Now I have the apps alphabetically ordered in the home screen... I just want to know if this happened to someone else and what could be the cause of that "error". I am on ARHD ROM and ElementalX kernel.

In the app drawer, pull the screen down slightly and in the top left there is a menu. Select custom and see what happens.....
It is already set to custom... Infact it seems that after the reboot I've lost my custom configuration.

Hey guys,
I just noticed that the animations on my HTC One aren't smooth anymore. When I open the app drawer, it's almost instant. Same with the multitasking screen. When I close an app, the next one instantly appears at the bottom right. It doesn't transition to it. Idk if you guys know what I mean though. It's hard to explain. But I noticed this after I connected to the tv at the Sprint store to test out the HTC Media Output. I'm running complete stock and haven't installed any new apps recently and I already checked the developer options and the animation box is checked with 1.0 speed. Thanks for any help
UPDATE: I already tried rebooting it. And I forgot to mention that the screen takes longer to turn on after turning the screen off

I already did that. It was already checked with the speed at 1

I found the solution. I force closed HTC Sense and HTC Media Output from the Apps section in the settings and then restarted the phone. Fixed all the transition problems

Is there a thread for these two apps? Ever since they released the new UI for these 2 apps I've had nothing but force close issues on startup. It never fails. It will open and look fine but as soon as I open a thread or start to scroll down it force closes. But the strange part is I can reopen the app immediately and it works fine. It does not matter which device I use. For awhile I thought it was because I was rooted but now I have an HTC one still haven't rooted or modified it in any way and still having the exact same issue. I have been reporting this crash since the day the update came out. I'm losing more and more respect with tapatalk with each update.
If this will not be fixed any time soon what are your opinions on a good alternative app?
Sent from my HTCONE using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I use both apps and dont have that problem.
I imagine you tried to uninstall both and wipe and re install.
Yea.. I have 3 phones and it happens on all three devices. Optimus G, HTC one, and galaxy s4.

Had that issue for a while, certain threads would kill the app every time. Haven't noticed it in a while though. I do have issues with trying to access the sprint one main thread through the favorites screen, where it just goes blank. No other major issues though. XDA premium, btw.

Are all these threads in sprint htc one?
Thats the only section im in right now and I just have never had an issue
For me it's the default screen. The notifications screen. It will display that screen but as soon as I tap an article (which yea it happens to be most sprint HTC one threads the app will shut down but I can immediately reopen the app and use every feature without an issue. But as soon as I turn my screen off or use another app or wait a bit before using xda premium or tapatalk it does it again..

Clearing the data/cache does not help?
I'll try that.

It got worse with the 4.3 update. I'm having to use the old free version of the xda app.. from the looks of it after reading around a lot of other people are having the same issue. Is there a thread we can report these issues to? I've been reporting on every crash since I updated the app. With this "crashes upon first startup ###" the numbers are the amount of times I've reported the same crash. I'm at 167.

Hi there, since some time I noticed that xda app doesn't load pictures from forum or load them randomly - some yes, some no and I can only see empty squares. I cleared cache, defaults but still same, no matter what internet source used. Anybody experienced the same issue?

Yep, experiencing the same here:
Doesnt matter how I am connected. Pics randomly do not load.
Try clicking on an empty pic, sometimes it will show you the pic.
Cheers, Ingo =;->

Same here. And I couldn't reply to anything - would just crash and restart. Changed to tapatalk (although wasn't the xda app also?).

Mine doesn't open notifications try and open them but then crashes and says xda has stopped working so have to close it down and start again really annoying after paying money for premium app

Try to use Tapatalk 4.
And, however, this question should be in xda app thread
My GE HTC One has been having horrible battery life the last few days. Android System and Mediaserver have been slaughtering my battery within an hour and i want to know why. My possible thoughts are
Snapchat +Keepchat xposed extension (it saves all snaps to your internal mem)
Or settings issue?
Im exhausted and was hoping someone could give me advice to wake up to and try out tomorrow.
(BTW, its not partial wakelocks (caused by apps) because i got an xposed app that lets you disable wakelocks per app, and i knocked out any indecent wakelocks).
All help will be thanked!!!

about all I can suggest is that you wipe everything and flash the rom with stock kernel.
add apps one at a time and you should be able to work out what's using your battery.
I quit using snapchat and keepchat, it helped alot.

HEY HEY HEY. ITS NEITHER SNAPCHAT OR KEEPCHAT.

So ive been doing some reading, and apparently android 4.4.2 (across all devices) has a bug causing 100% cpu and battery to be diverted to the camera once an app has opened it. Google is aware, and working on a update. Should restore things to the way they were normally

Not all devices, just those where the camera uses a Qualcomm chipset, such as the Nexus 5.
Google releases software updates to the Nexus 5. They do not release updates to the HTC One, HTC does. Even for the GPE.

I updated to the first ota of kitkat when it went live and really didn't like it, so I downgraded to the first firmware, then accepted ota til I was back to 3.05.651.6, and now my Wi-Fi won't stay turned off no matter what settings I have chosen, and it won't respond to BatteryGuru like it used to before the whole mess.
Anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing it or how to fix it?
