Wifi Always on in Battery Stats? - AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Not sure if anyone else has seen this but betterbatterystats shows Wifi as always on. So far today I have not had Wifi on at all yet it gives Wifi running at 100%. Any thoughts?

Go to advance settings under WiFi and uncheck this box. It will also help battery life some.

Urgent help please I'm not at home for few days and need my internet
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
Probably on a roaming network, not own network. Check settings. Roamingbdata usebis more expensive I think.
Check apn settings from your own provider
Or some app which disables it for power purposes.

Thanks will check them now, thanks.

Or got your data usage maxed out
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
Checked both and still no go, haven't maxed out yet either. Still doing it.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
And any powersaving app or settings?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
I checked APN settings seems that when it went flat it chucked a spas and deleted it on me wtf?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
In apn setting
If any apn exists, open and delete
Then from menu select restore default

Thank you

Usually a powersaving app that deletes it as a workaround to disabling network on low battery. Whats your app list?
Try drKetans method first
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
Ahh I think 3G watch dog stopped it. Removed the disable data thing restored APN all good again.

Congrats, enjoy

Sound and video out of sync

Anyone else have the sound and video out of sync. I notice it in the you tube app, Netflix, and hbo go... Is this a known issue? Is there a fix?

HTC one battery draining 6% per hour!!

Explain this to me
It is hard to tell by the screen shot, but could be that you had the screen on for a long time, or that your phone was spending energy to trying to connect to cell service?
Ok I'll post some neescreenshots in next few days.which screenshots should I post? Also should I leave power saver off?

Download GSAM battery monitor and post screens from it. It has a very detailed breakdown of where your juice is going.
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
Is there a app like Google maps that's does the same thing cause I want to be able to use mobile network location without it draining my battery
Sent from my HTCONE using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Try using Juice defender to make WiFi turn off when your screen is off. Also, if you're rooted you can download greenify from the market. All those little things drain battery fast.

Here you go

Your battery is fine. 30 min wakelock in 12 h is very good actually
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
If I turn Google location service on will my battery drain be worse?

I would agree. GSAM says 12 hours since last recharge and you are at 55% battery. I think that is pretty good.
When I turn on GPS or network location I get a wakelock from Google play services or Google "network location" I want to be able to use the features. When I turn on GPS I have to force close one of them or the GPS icon is on the whole time!!

Is your phone hooked up to Google now? Try looking at some of those features, I know for me it was pretty much running the entire time, even if you closed out of it. I mean, it constantly monitors where you are...Also, any type of weather app, widget etc does the same, in my experience.

My battery drains 6% every half hour. I've tried flashing two different Roms from a stock sense to CM11 but no avail. Plus it takes all day to get to a full charge when charging. Could my battery be bad or something I'm not noticing? #noob
Sent from my One using xda app-developers app
When I'm on WiFi for any amount of time makes my battery drain fast with nothing else on (GPS,Bluetooth etc...). I have power saver, sleep mode abd WiFi optimization on if that makes a difference. Dropbox upload is off.

I think you're in the normal range. I have 6.2% an hour today with moderate (similar to yours) use.

Why does my wifi keep notifying me when notification is shut off?

I have the settings shut off for notification, but it keeps notifying me.
Any ideas?

Which notification do you mean? Have you looked in Wi-Fi > Menu, Advanced > Network Notification?
Ya. Anything regarding notification is turned off.
I'm rooted on 3.05.651.6 stock rom.

Still haven't figured it out yet. My wifi keeps turning on by itself.
Sent from my HTCONE using xda premium
Anyone ever run into this issue or are currently experiencing it?
Sent from my HTCONE using xda premium
In WiFi Settings, goto Advanced, and turn off "Scanning always available"...should solve your issue.

This is a snap of my settings.
Not sure why it keeps happening. I find my Wi-Fi turns itself on whenever it senses a hotspot even though my settings are as they are.
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
Do you think it does this because of the version of the radio?
