Is there any other program out there besides throttlelock? The only real complaint I have with throttlelock is the lack of diagonal pattern support.

Fantastic program mate
Only thing I have noticed is that when I get an incoming call (im using HDIII with the opal dialer) the caller id screen from the dialer pops up instead of the throttlelock incoming call screen. It looks like your screen is in the background but the opal screen is ontop of it. Any ideas how to be able to toggle your incoming call screen on/off so that its either ontop of the opal dialer or off completely??

Thanks!
That's something I'm working on right now . The replacement is done but there are some collateral issues that need to be fixed .... I'll also add the option to unlock on call... but that's a security leak...

Looks great cant wait for the new version to come out. I love the bigger clock on the lock screen. I just use a black background to keep prying eyes away . Not so sure about the option to unlock on a call for a security program it would leave the phone wide open lol. Thats just my opinion but I would leave that out unless its been requested alot. Nice work I always put it on my phone after I flash a new rom. Wish I could write programs like that

It just gets better and better!! Hey, I just thought of a nice feature for maybe 0.6...I just don't know how to explain it very well. Your pattern doesn't have to use adjacent dots? Does that make sense? For example, in a 3x3 grid, the top left dot can connect to the bottom middle or even the middle right dot. Its just an idea I had, let me know what you think.
Can this be run with S2U2? What would be cool would be if the S2U2 app ran and once you slid to unlock you had to do the pattern unlock. So basically S2U2 is used for style and interface and the pattern unlock is used for security.

I'm not to sure. Give it a try! If it doesn't work, then just uninstall it. Let us know how it goes.
It is alright. I have to enable Throttlelock explicitly and then S2U2 is enabled on when my phone powers off. Then I had to unlock with Throttlelock before S2U2 which is reverse of what I prefer.

Sounds like alot of work to get your phone unlocked lol. Plus ThrottleLock is fully skinnable so you can make it look great with any background you want. Its better than S2U2 in my opinion.
I have make small app, which switching off screen.
Instant, without any waits or faking switching off by set brightness to zero.
It's simulate pressing of power button.
Maybe this one will be interest for somebody
root needed
Nice! I'd be more interested if you could do unlock via soft keys as we had in Hero , i.e. home and menu, as I find the power button is too recessed for easy access.
Not sure if softkeys would be too easy to trigger by mistake tho ??

There is a hack for this but the menu key etc on the hd are not active when the screen is locked so it doesn't work. I did it today but you have to press power then the keys become active and you can use menu etc to unlock. Pointless as you still need to use power button first. The hero's keys were hard buttons as is the desire. It worked great on the desire. Unless anyone knows a way to have them active while locked? My power buttons a nightmare as it's not very clicky and really recessed. My wife's hd power button is much easier to use. Anyone know a way to have the soft keys active all the time?

Thanks for this app, i was waiting for.
Power button isn't as practical as your app to power down the phone.
Thank you mate.
Very Nice.... I like it.
But can you please Chance the Icon for me?
Im not able to do this myself.
I would like something like that.
Back and white with a bit gray or shaded would be very nice

In technical terms,yes- it would circumvent the process of having to use one's digit to find aforementioned hard power button and then depress said button.

Lol, maybe I didn't want the technical version after all. Dumb it down so I can understand. I'm have it installed but I don't see it doing anything. I have an Evo. How does this work (explain normal).
r0cky.Da.3v0.SU.
Its just a app to lock the phone and turn the screen off. Not sure if it works on evo
Ok thanks buddy, Uninstalling.
r0cky.Da.3v0.SU.
Dunno if this is doable but have you seen the screen lock on the new nexus that was seen at recent web 2.0 summit. Its kinda like the effect you get when u turn off an old crt TV. Could you implement that instead of the current fade effect? Ta
here i send you the perfect icon for me.
I hope you can do this. This would be very great.
Can you make the white corners transparent?
If you cant please make it black...
Im looking forward to you work

Thank you exidler for this useful app. I am just wondering if you can make use of the accelerometer sensor to turn off the screen ( for example by putting the phone upside down) . Thanks again.

i also agree ! that would be a perfect app and since most people do not check their sms upside down it would also be extremely practical
+1

Pressing the spen button and making a up gesture with the pen you open the menu. Button and swipe left emulate the back key.

Guys,
Does anyone know of a way to show the Vanilla Android Soft-Key Menu at the bottom and disable the capacitive buttons?

I actually just wrote up an article about how to disable the capacitive buttons

and I'm working on one for the software navigation too. I'll edit here with a link when it's published

Wow, thanks you're too kind. Hopefully the write-ups will help get you in the direction you were going for.
I'm always looking for feedback and tips/suggestions for new articles so feel free to comment or use the contact form to send an email at any time you think of something
I have done this to all my Samsung phones,,,is there a way to enable the menu softkey as well?

In the Pie Control application, there is a option to set a button as the menu key(it requires root access). So you could create a fourth button in the pie controls app or you could even set one of your pre-set buttons to execute the menu key when a long-press is detected on it
Cool is there a way to show the stock menu softkey without using pie?

Very nice but.......it makes double tab home button camera to stop working and night clock also gets messed up. Also it makes the phone detect like if there were a magnetic cover on it.
Hey ppl
Anyone noticed this ugly button?
I press it several times by accident. The only way to deal with is to enable the navigation bar (the button will then be displayed inside of it).
Is there a wax to remove it completely?
Thanks

I personally love that button I believe this is a Pie feature, it lets you rotate your phone on command instead of it automatically rotating. To turn that off simply make sure Auto Rotate is turned on in the Quick Settings toggles.
yeah but i dont want autorotate at all. i hate it even^^
I don't have this button and I'm actually interested
What do you set on to have it?

Turn off auto rotate, and Pie will show it whenever it detects your phone has rotated.

That tiny little unobtrusive button only appears when you have auto rotate turned off AND you rotate your phone. It should not appear during normal use. And it goes away after a few seconds if you don't press it.

I understand what you're asking. But it's not possible. And again the button goes away after a few seconds.
Root and install something other than One UI. Although saying that, I don't remember seeing this rotate button while running several of the different custom One UI roms, can double check if you want.

Maybe you've figured this out already but from the notification panel of you click on the word "Portrait" under the auto-rotate icon it'll bring to additional settings an be you can turn it off from there
