Galaxy note problem

Hi ..
I have problem with my galaxy note ,, the device is getting heat quickly when I use it and the battery live is short , it needs to be recharged almost every day ...
Be noted that I upgraded my note to Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3

That's pretty normal. I have to charge mine every night. And mine gets hot too. Everything fast gets hot. Its a fact of life.

but a friend of mine has a Note and he told me there are no problems like that with him and his device got heat only when he runs heavy games ,but mine got heat with normal browsing for a bit long time ,, some people told that it belongs to the new Rom that it maybe broken or something ,, is that possible ??

Which rom you are in now.

Wild guess ics stock with autobrightness on. You can boil a egg on the screen at a bright day. And his friend used still GB or autobrightness off and he used low brightness. If the heat comes from back then you have triggered the eastern eggs of ics and Samsung for the 1.000.000 wakelocks, restart phone helps.

Nothing just disable auto-brightness. Somehow with high brightness the screen burns on ics and on GB wasn't, dunno why my way out is to disable it and use high brightness when is needed all other times I use no brightness.

[Q] 4X is Heating up like any thing while playing Games and consuming more battery.

HI All,
My phone is only two days old and its very good, BUt while playing game heating up like any thing and consuming more battery. like i can play temple rum only 1.5-2 hours continuously is it normal??.
Kernal: 2.6.39.4
s/w version:- V10e-OCT-16-2012

Sometimes phone cases cause that ,, and the high brightness too . And it's normal for 1.5 - 2 hours .

But i keep brightness low ,,,, while playing games heating is like i can iron my clothes

I bought in Saudi Arabia,,, Version is 10E , Will 10H help if i manually flash it?

Keep up with your counties latest version. Every latest firmwares are almost same in bug fix cases.

First of all Hi.
I dont think that NOBODY here in this forum understand that your (and mine) 4X HD is HOT more than 40 degrees celsius hot.
I got this same problem I dont solve it even I got the device in service center to get check and the mother fu^%$rs told me that it is FINE.
SO PLEASE. AM I THE ONLY ONE WITH 40 DEGREES CELSIUS WHILE PLAY GAMES OR ALL OF YOU PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM...
IS THIS REALLY NORMAL???
Can you people test the processor tempereture with some app and post result??/

It's Tegra
I can get mine to 56°c if I want to, but then it turns off.
So 40° sounds normal to me.

Mine heats up as well , the screen has to dim sometimes...

jb8503 The screen is not the problem, CPU is, this can be very bad problem

This is normal
Also this issue's thread is very normal too next time just try and search before creating new thread it will help you getting answers without waiting as well as keeping the forum clean.
Now to help you just root your phone and under clock your CPU to 1.2ghz it will help you a lot. I am using "CPU Tweaks app" for the purpose and it works way to good for me.
1.2 ghz is enough even for high end HD games - Tegra 3 is very good with games
"CPU Tweak" Setting :-
CPU: 4 core clocked at 1.2 ghz

Mine is always on 50~51 celcius after 10 minutes playing ANY game on ANY brightness setting. Don`t like it, but that`s how it is, every time, with or without a case.

I had my tab 2 for months now but lately the battery started heating up. I don't know what caused this. is this normal? what are the factors that can contribute for a battery to heat up upto 40 degrees C. will some of the factors be kernel and rom?

i just got new optimus 4x hd and warm when i open wifi or just check it and in standby it takes 1% for every 3 hours but when ii dnt use it it become normal
when i play any game it turns to a ****n heater ma brightness is on 25% ? is that normal ? should i take it to warrenty ?

Android 4.1.2/4.2 does not support multi-core very well.
Intel claims Android is not ready for multi-core processors.
Returns the number of processor cores available to the VM, at least 1.
Traditionally this returned the number currently online, but many mobile devices are able to take unused cores offline to save power,
so releases newer than Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) return the maximum number of cores that could be made available

[Q] Battery / Phone temprature very high

hello friends my z1 goes high more than 47 c or 111.F temperature mostly while using 3g mode and browsing or some times while camera working so is it normal or i should be worry for it please help me while wifi its down to 39.c 103.F

My phone gets quite hot if I'm using 3g or wifi both for a while, should I get worried as well?

the temperatures you posted are normal and within operating range,
3G always heats up the phone more than Wifi,
WHich Rom are you on by the way?

Hi guys
Its just being 2 weeks that i hav bought my new experia ZR, the android version has been updated from jelly bean to Kitkat. Phone is getting an averagely heated after using wifi for almost 10-15 mins, its nt getting too hot bt feeling littlebit uncomforatable as i was using a low end mobile before and it was always warm. I just wanted to knw that is this problem avoidable, or is this a common problem for xperia series

Does your phone heats up near camera n flash on the rear side?

My XZR also got warm during surfing the net. After upgrade to 4.4.4 the heating issue much more better. During surfing the net average cpu tempt 50*C. And during gaming the highest tempt was 65*C. You can download cpu tempt at Google play to monitor your cpu tempt.

I updated to the latest android version in the next day itself when i gt the mobile.
Does this updation play any role in this issue?
And i am using a sony mobile for the 1st tym i was using low enf mobiles below 10000 so this heating issue i very nrw to me

even my XZR heats up very badly newar camera side when I am on wifi watching youtube. or recording full HD videos
I dont know its because of the firmware. but if I go to service center they wont do anything but format that we can do at home :laugh:
