Okay i search a little bit and here:
http://www.droidwiki.de/Odin and here:
http://www.android-hilfe.de/samsung-allgemein/235758-odin-multi-downloader-fuer-ops-pit-3.html#post5517972
These are articles in germa ,so i translate the interesting part:
The Tool Odin is only for the Samsung Service Center and not for other use ...so it is an unofficial tool which is used for flashing or rooting ...
That it is unofficial is additionaly shown that in samsungs documentation it is never mentioned ...
Hope i could help you ...

No, there isn't.
Odin is leaked software used by Samsung to flash firmwares. Heimdall is more reliable than Odin and the best of all is to use ADB whenever possible.

Do you flash Galaxy roms with ADB?

For flashing a ROM on your i9000 you can use either Odin (version 1.7, 1.82 or the last compatible version: 1.83) or Heimdall. Heimdall works great with the i9000, but use better its older version!
I've been installing ROMs on Nexus devices via ADB by unlocking its bootloader, but for the i9000 I've entirely been using Odin so far. I did once use Heimdall, but installing its driver uninstalled the Samsung driver off my PC.
As I flash frequently something on several different Samsung devices, I need the driver to be installed at all times so I didn't use Heimdall anymore since. Odin is more practical for my needs.

I prefer Odin, but i must say i never used heimdall ...
On my tablet i use ADB directly like tetakpatak said ...

hey i wanna ask that is there any problem if task (kies.exe, etc) are killed or not?????
i tried 2-3 times all i got is that the phone is stuck on the boot loop... please suggest something coz i had paid enough to restore my phone
Dude download Odin v1.85 that would be best.... Bring your phone to download mode(volume down + menu+ power button). Now run Odin and connect ur phone, Odin will detect your phone. Now take the cf root file and put it in the PDA and just press start. At finish Odin will make the column green and pass would be written on it.
Congrats ur phone is rooted

Actually flashing jw4 just changes your kernel from jvb to jw4. And it is rooted so works by the way there is.no cf root for jvb.

[Q] What to do/how to root?

My device is GS3 mini. And I have 4.1.2 Android Version, with a XXAMA3 bbv.
How do I root it? Is it normal that I just root normally by Odin3?
And if I did that, am I done or what? And how do I get ROMs for that version?
Thanks. By the way, I am still new to this forums.

Basically, you get the already rooted image, and flash it on the phone via Odin.
