Hey guys quick quetion here, i got an offer to sell my milestone for 400$ or Trade it for a blackberry 9700 + blackberry 9000, should i sell it? and with the 400$ i can buy a Galaxy S or some other device? whats your input?
I would sell the Milestone and get the Milestone 2. Try using the Galaxy S for awhile (not just a store demo), and if you can stand its pentile matrix arrangement, then go for it. It's very fast and has an extremely accurate and responsive touchscreen. However, its display isn't for everyone. The real test is how your eyes handle reading small/medium sized text on it at length.
With the Milestone 2, you wouldn't have any of these issues, though I can't imagine that you could get one for anywhere near $400 when it is released.
One other phone to consider is the Desire (the S-LCD version).
whats the S-LCD?? i think ill try the bell Vibrant looks cool with the front facing camera
Older Desires used AMOLED, a terrible version.
Since you're in Canada, then the Telus version uses Sony's S-LCD, a display comparable to the iP4 (lower res, of course) and the Milestone.
I suggest that you buy the Bell Vibrant from Best Buy or Futureshop, so that you have the option to return it if you find small text unbearable, particularly since you're coming from a great LCD with very high DPI and sharp text.
Sell it and wait for the Motorola Milestone Pro

lol got the The Galaxy S, almost bricked it and by luck restored it back to normal, very happy with it though, no lag nicer screen, will miss they keyboard though : D but swype is reallyyy nice
Bit late but I wouldn't have bought a SGS. Samsung have shown such disregard for the users with such appalling support and buggy software. I'll never buy a Samsung product again.
What I want to ask about here is the possibility of a 'Milestone Pro'. Motorola have refused to confirm its existence and given that we didn't see a GSM version of the Droid X I'm wondering if we'll definitely see a GSM Droid Pro.
(I know it's CDMA/GSM but with Verizon controlling things it'll be relatively hard to get one only for unlocked GSM use and I _think_ that using GSM the phone will always think it is roaming)
I have the droid 1 (a855) and I was wanting to replace the housing wit the droid a955. Would the droid 1 guts fit the droid 2 or 3 housing? I was look at doing this since the keyboard was much bigger and easier to use. Better yet, could I just change out the keypad with the one used for droid 2 or 3 and get the full and correct functional use far as letters, number, etc...
it will work, but the only issue you will run into is the fact that you waill have to deal with the soft keys bring switched about. the droid 3's housing is way to different to switch. i have a moto droid 1 with a droid 2 motherboard, and the keys are switched about. the dpad in the droid 2 works with droid 1 motherboard, and the dimentions are the same too. go for it!
Any update to this?
I like to know whether a955 housing is compatitable with a855 housing. Any additional parts required or etc..
I noticed that amazon were having a sale on the note for £375. Do you think there is any point getting it now? I did have the galaxy s3 and one x. I returned the galaxy s3 because I didn't like touchwiz really or the phone in general. I also returned the one x because of quality control issues. I loved the one x but quality control issues put me off :/. So is the note a good buy for that price?
Galaxy note also has touchwiz. But if you dont like it just install a custom launcher like nova or apex.
What else is it you want info about? In my opinion the note is outstanding and is a good buy at almost any price.
Can you elaborate on the One X issues?
I'm thinkng of going the other way. I have the Note, and I'm getting annoyed with the "Super Bug" issue that causes risks with ICS.
I would like to have a so called "Safe" device running ICS like the HTC One X. It seems on paper to be as good or better than the Note, albeit with a slighlty smaller screen.
thanks
Oh there were some issues with quality control. Some models had screen flex some had gaps which gathered dust. Some had screen flickering which has now been solved. Someone has found a wifi issue now, this happens when the device heats up the metal contacts touching the wifi chip to the back of the phone come lose and wifi strength/signal lowers. & yea my sisters gs2 has the eMMC problem, thats the only thing I'm wary about :/.
Hi. I had a One x for 3 weeks. Well 4 of them. Had constant problems with signal. It would lose signal then never regain it unless restarted. The phone was brilliant when working and felt nice in the hand but wasnt willing to keep restarting all the time. Got the Note and am amazed with it. I prefer it to the one x.

I had been planning to jump on the Nexus 6P once it was widely available, but with the SD 810 in it I'm just not sold. I wanted to get some opinions if I should snag an N6 or hold out for next year's Nexus (or other SD 820 phone). I had a Galaxy Nexus (Verizon) prior to my LG G2 (Sprint), and while I love the G2 I sorta miss being on the Nexus platform. I've ran the ParanoidAndroid ROM for years and I really love vanilla Android, although it seems PA may not be as common on these phones as it has been on the GNex and G2.
I would like to have a bigger screen (although the 6" screen scares me a bit, but I do like my wife's Note 2). Is going from a SD800/2GB memory to the 805/3GB of the N6 a decent performance upgrade? My G2 isn't slow, but could be snappier.
Anyway, what's everyone's opinion? And if I do switch, and specific info I should be aware of about the N6? I did see that for Sprint network it sounds like I'll need the XT1103 model.
I made the switch from the G3 and I couldn't be happier. Why not look at the 5X if screen size is a concern for you?

I do want a bigger screen. I think the Note 2 is about perfect, although the N6 isn't really that much bigger. *googles picture comparison* actually pretty much the same, so scratch that concern off the list
I have had the N6 since February of this year and I'm entirely happy with the phone. The only phone I would replace it with would be a phone with a Qualcomm 820 made by Motorola. I had a Samsung note 3 before this phone that and Verizon told me I was dropping 7% of my calls. I live in a fringe area of Phoenix and Verizon said they are not going to build any more powers out here. I bought this N6 Motorola Phone 8 months ago and I've had one dropped call since then and I'm not sure if the call dropped or the guy just hung up on me. So, my next phone will be Motorola and there will be a Qualcomm 820 and until then I am entirely satisfied with this phone

I came from a G2. Trying to run AOSP on anything that's not a Nexus is an abomination. The Nexus 6 is far and away a much better device. The size won't take long for you to get used to, in fact...you won't ever want to go back to a smaller size again.

Yeah I'm searching for a good deal on one now
I tried to snag one off Ebay that was posted on the general tab, $299 with $20 coupon, but the coupons we're working. Didn't want to jump that fast on a 32gb white one, try to find at least a blue or possibly a 64gb for not much more.
Amazon has like new 64gb units for 339.00. I bought one 2 weeks ago.

Looks like those are gone now....were they listed as Used - Like New by 3rd party sellers?
they were listed as used (like new) from amazon warehouse. the box had some cosmetic imperfections but the device looked brand new.

Woot got one! They showed up as Amazon warehouse in very good condition. Sounds like packaging issues again but we'll see when it gets here. $339. 99 on prime
Yes, yes, it's possible to love a phone. Heck, you sleep next to it, don't you? Rate this thread to indicate your love for the LG V10, all things considered. A higher rating indicates that the LG V10 is an incredible phone that you enjoy tremendously. You love it.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Very happy with it so far and I've only had it for a couple days but am loving it so far.
LG has stepped up to make a great looking, great feeling device. With the addition of the extra battery/200g micro SD AND the 100G for 2 years on Google Drive? Well done
Unrooted AT&T version is surprisingly usable for someone who swore to never own an unrooted device.
I returned my stock Note 4 after a few days in favor of my rooted Note 2 with DN4 ROM. I actually expected to return the V10 because I love my Note 2 so much. My Note 2 went on craigslist the day after getting my V10.
Outside influences prevent me from leaving AT&T for T-mobile, so the contract extension is irrelevant to me. Still, I almost considered buying the T-Mobile phone outright to get the unlocked bootloader. After a few days with the locked down AT&T version, I'm glad I saved the $350 difference. I'll still root it the first chance I get, for the most part, I don't even realize the difference.

Couldn't have said it better myself...
Never been more satisfied with a phone in my life.
Have owned the
OG galaxy
galaxy s3
galaxy s4
HTC One m8
and now the LG V10
Only the M8 comes close to the level of satisfaction i feel now
Note. Knock on works well. G4 was iffy to annoying. I don't feel the heat in my pocket because of the screen turning on accidentally. On the G4 I Turned it off. On that note, screen touch response has been excellent none of the issues that haunted some G4.
EDIT: Two weeks after: The more and more I keep using this phone, the more I use it, if that makes sense. The love for actually making use of lots more started with my LG G4, but the V10 continues to do one up every time. I never really used my devices for listening to music, but now that the screen is just that much bigger, albeit 0.2" as a whole I've enjoyed more youtube videos. That going in hand towards finding and listening to more music. I really do enjoy this phone, unlocked boot-loader, rooted, or not, does't make a difference to my enjoyment, even with it's quirks.. No regrets paying full price.
I love the knock feature which allows you to turn screen on/off by double tapping. Next to the ESS DAC this is my favorite feature. Pretty great for an unrooted phone. Almost went with HTC M9 for it's ability to play hi-res music but so far am very happy I went with the V10. I just couldn't turn this one away with such amazing audio specs.

I agree. This is the happiest I've been with a phone since the m8, and I had a Sony z3 and galaxy s6 in between. Very impressed.

Had this phone for 24 hours and just ? it! I've had a G2 and traded a G3 for this one on TMob. I wish they carried the white version like the international version on Amazon.
I'm coming from Note 5, I own currently the following phones, Motorola XPE, Note Edge, S6 Edge (soon to be send it as a gift to my nephew), I'm waiting for the Nexus 6P to be delivered to me, but I really like this phone. I'm using this as my daily phone and planning to keep it like that. Definitely in love with this phone.
Had an LG G Pro 2 for over 18 months, which was my favourite phone ever. Bought a Note 4 earlier this year (because I loved my old Note 2, way back when...) but it just wasn't as good as the G Pro 2, so I sold it on.
Been waiting for LG to bring out their next big thing - liked the G4 but wanted a bigger screen - so I was excited when rumours about the V10 started to appear, and even more excited when I saw they were keeping the SD card slot and removable battery!
Got my imported V10 at the weekend and it's just perfect. Seriously. I can't think of anything I'd want to change (well, maybe a more reliable FPS...)
Now, if we can get a simple root solution to install Viper4Android I can die happy. )
I will tell you what I don't like. For a phone that boasts a high end headphone amp it can barely drive a pair of earbuds. Very lame.

Other than issues with the Fingerprint sensor & cases (which should be resolved through an update that is/will be available soon), the LG V10 is virtually flawless. I find the second screen useful to quickly launch apps from any screen, call contacts, preview incoming messages, etc. The display is very bright, text is sharp and colors are realistic. Speed is excellent for web browsing, launching apps, screen scrolling, etc.. Capabilities- such as recording video, taking photos (front and back cameras), 32 bit Hi-Fi audio DAC playback, 64 GB of built in storage as well as removable storage/battery, build quality, call quality, advanced LTE data speeds, etc. are top notch. Aggressive promo packages and an excellent price on the T-Mobile network made/make the phone an unbeatable value. As with any well designed piece of electronics- the whole is greater than the sum of the parts- and the phone simply delivers where competitors have compromised.
Just got my Verizon V10 Yesterday. Absolutely LOVE IT!
I think this is very close to the perfect phone.. Only thing I am missing are the front facing dual speakers.. Other then that everything is too notch and it is easily the most feature packs smart phone this year.. Thanks so much lg for sticking with LCD display... I just hate smiled panels
