Battery doesn't go further than 14% when on charger.
Wifi turning on gives me an error and I can't select the settings.
3G doesn't work anymore.
Phone is useless. I guess something has went wrong.
At my arc, I can use Sony update service to put the latest firmware on it when something screwed up, but what I can do now.
I don't use a custom ROM, phone is just default after this update.
Any help will be very appreciated, also I want to know if I am the only one who has this "luck"....

Problem is mentioned in the title. Every time when I turn my phone off in the night (5 min ago for example ) it reboots instead of turning off.
Everything stock, no root, not unlocked, nothing. Software .195
Any ideas? I don't get it, after the reboot it doesn't ask for pin but I get a signal, after second time turning it off it is really off...
Thanks.

This happens to me sometimes, but I always thought it was my ROM.
You could try a force shutdown. (Keep down both volume up and power button)

What Rom do you mean? A modified stock one or Cm10 too? It's no big deal but it is boring to turn the phone off always twice...

I too noticed this on .195, on a couple of occasions it rebooted instead of shutting down. I have no idea why this occured, but it seems to have stopped after upgrade to .223.
perhaps it's a bug that Sony themselves recognised in 195 and fixed.

No update for now in my region but maybe I unlock it today and flash a 223 Rom. Thanks

You don't need to unlock to use flashtool, you can flash a stock Rom ftf without modifications. )

My Ts boot loader was unlock state :yes after 195 upgrade on Orange UK. I tapped in the unlock command all the same flashed kernel v5 with cwm and have been using jelly bam ever since @ 708Mhz. Phones temerature doesn't go above body temp now.still faster than Sony ics

This is exactly right.
I'm on .303 and mine does this from time to time. Not updated my Xperia T yet. Must be a bug prior to the latest fw

now i installed the update to .223 and it seems that the problem is gone
it was just a bootloader update as far as i understood it so this makes sense for me but i am no expert...

LOOOL - you must have had finger on side of the phone, as that is where power button is !!!!!!!!!!! and it is right next to Vol+ !!!!!!!
But i am not saying it is your fault either, it's just possible we all did this, just as it is possible it is a glitch in the matrix (bug on younger f/w)
Either way, worth knowing if it happens again!!!

no i don't have to have my finger there.
i have the finger on the power button 1 second then the menu pops up on the screen, i can wait nothing happens, then i press TURN OFF on the screen so no possibility that i have my finger again near the volume up button. and it still rebooted before the latest update.
certainly on my 195 it can happen. Some say if you remove the SIM and or SD card in NEVER happens, but not sure how useful the phone is then...
As the title says the camera on my n7000 is no longer working. I get a black screen.
Back story of problem, i was having problems with my messages originally. I was unable to receive messages, i could send but not receive. I unrooted and did a factory reset. A couple days ago the messages started working but now the camera isnt working. I had called att about the messages and they were unable to help at all (no surprise). The messages just started working again for whatever reason.
I had installed the exynos abuse app (i know they mention the camera issue) i had no problems at all until the messaging problem started. I uninstalled that app and several others before doing the reset.
Would flashing the stock rom from odin fix this? I have done 2 factory resets and unistalled everything that i used while rooted.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Stop doing a factory reset on stock ics kernel. You could brick your phone.
Exynos abuse app could be the cause of this. Reflashig the rom again should solve the problem
I will try that thanks.
...cant believe i didnt think of the stock factory ics brick... :lucky:

It looks like Sony messed it up again after it was prevalent in arc. The below video shows how the pinch to zoom works jerky and doesn't work properly at times. To better illustrate,
* I have zoomed in using default Album app
* Used QuickPic as well
* Zoomed in a website in Chrome
In all cases, the zoom doesn't work. It simply doesn't record my gestures properly. Many of the users have reported in the issue, I'm hoping myself that it's a firmware issue. But as time passes, it makes me think that my panel is faulty as well. Please report or suggest guys. If you haven't tried this yet, then please do across all apps which this zooming feature.
Steps taken:
* Ran Xperia Diagnostics app.
* Full repair in PCC and also in FT as well.
Note: The video is hefty at 78 megs, sorry in order to show you how clearly it was misbehaving, I couldn't compromise on quality. Please do watch.
Box link: https://app.box.com/s/mas3tj8gvaqctn19dq1n
Update: It's a hardware issue. Gave my device for replacement today.
I to have the problem..and other peoples i asked on xda said that its working perfectly so dnt know is it software based or hardware based..waitng for the software updates other wise will go to the service centre and get it replaced

I genuinely don't have this problem. My zooming is smooth with no jumps.

Hmm have to say not come across this issue, pinching and zooming is fine for me. Things that you can try: Update the phone to the latest firmware to rule that out, if you still have an issue then it is a hardware fault with your panel, i really do hate how people are so quick to bash Sony. Things like this happen, hardware faults do occur from time to time, get a replacement if that is the case, warranty should cover it.

They will and they should. I was told that if Z1 was bought a week back or within a week, they will replace the entire kit (box). As mine's 2 weeks old, I'll get the device only it seems. They've quoted me a max of 3-5 days. They told me that I'll also get a backup phone after 2 days.

Do you know what? When I gave the device, the issues I mentioned were the zoom and yellow hue issue. The rep didn't agree with the hue issue although he agreed with the zoom issue. But after he started using the device, two additional issues were found. SoD and random reboot. My Z1 started rebooting randomly.Phew, I gave it at last. The problem sheet of my Z1 has four issues in total now.
Haha..actually i know how to enable the sod issue just untick the optimize backlight option and restart the phone thats all the phone will be screwed till u tick the optimize backlight again anr reboot

Same, same same!!! I had the same issue too after disabling it. Don't worry. A few reboots should do. Also you can leave as it is for some time then try again. If not, then start the device - Power off using the red colored switch present in the SIM card slot. Reboot again.

Hello, i recently updated my Sony Xperia Z1 Model No: C6902 with the latest kitkat update but after the update their is disturbances heard in the message notification tone....what shall i do? is there a problem with the update itself?
Maybe, to early to say if it is a bug, some users have to report it as well too. Try Factory Reset first, it will wipe your data but it will clean up after update.

Do you have any mods installed that may have restored with titanium when you reinstalled the rom?
Could be that something is not playing nice with the new base.
Attempt a clean install with no restores and test the audio, then restore and if it comes back after the restore you'll know if it's a rogue app / mod or not.

I as well am having the same issue. The notification "skips" if you will at the beginning first 1-2 seconds of any notification. I have not noticed if this issue is present in a phone ring yet, only in notifications.
So, no solution yet?... I have same issue... And this notification ringtone is annoyed...

Shahzaib.khan I don't believe your referencing the same bug we are discussing. If I'm not mistaken your discussing the sound through the internal earpiece instead of the loudspeaker. We are referring to a notification tone which skips when being played during an actual notification

Same annoying problem here. Stuttering notification sound and sometimes the ringtone gets really low (10%).
Only a reboot fixes the problem. But after after a few hours it's back again :crying:
Guys i guess i was right at the first place
I comeback to 4.4 from the start
I flashed xperia ultra firmware which is modified by nut then i put 156 of xperia z1 then i root it and flash recovery on it and then formated every thing except external card, i formated internal memory also. And yes till now received 5 calls there is no problem...
Try it every one

Hi,
Is this problem solved now for you after the update to .757?
It hasn't for me. I still get the annoying broken/disturbed notification tone many times even after a clean install of the FW .757.
I am on stock ROM, non rooted. I really do want to know which app is playing rogue, if it is an app. I thought after the few updates to the walkman app, it may solve the issue, but it didn't.
