It's a great tablet. Obviously I'm typing on it now.
It's gonna get KitKat, and it will hold you over for at least another year...

Buy. It.

That's a very good deal. It will be worth checking the price for 3G model, it's better to have it as data plans have become cheaper in India.

Got the 32GB Wifi model for 12k (INR) for my daughter's ninth birthday. Great deal, imho. Today's the last date of discounts, so I suggest any of you guys not sure about the purchase, make the jump!

Ughh, Yes? You should, because the Nexus 7 is one of the top android tablets on the market, that's including the old and new versions.

129 quid in the uk atm
@Mohdsultan..its still a very capable device. And 8999 is still a good price. Eventually it all boils down to what you want to use it for. If you want to use it on the move you are better off getting the 3g version

I have ab 8gb n7 and want to return to the play store but where are the 16gb n7 in a local store? Which ones cause I just went to office depot and they never got theirs. Help anyone?

I got my 16gb from staples... I don't think they are offering the 8gb
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Basically you're just asking where to buy it...
I've been eyeballing the Walmart website. They said out of stock earlier today, but now it's back up. Worth a look.
Well see, I have a WalMart, staples, gamestop, and office depot with 3 miles of my house, which one of these retailers will be more likely to get them? Thanks

I have done that before, and it isn't always accurate, some people are really stupid, once I saw something that said in stock online but when I called they didn't have it, I just went to the store and they ended up having that item even though they say they had it. Looks like I will just have to go to every store and take a look

Only some places sale the 8gb. I know some gamestops carry them but supposedly its suppose to be a Google exclusive. Find somewhere that sales them and try to exchange plus cash or something like that.

I sold my 8GB on Craigslist, but it wasn't opened.

Most places are sold out not but staples had a ton of them when I picked mine up last night.

Well my was open and therefore lost value, I have to return it to the play store.

Hey guys,
just want you to know that here in italy new nexus 7 8gb build date 03/2013 are being sold at 199€.
Knowing that the 32gb version is for 249€, i am wondering if google made any hardware upgrade/fix in this new 8gb version to justify its price ( the 16gb version, no more available, was sold for 199€ as well till a week ago)
Thank u all for your kindness.

There's something amiss, as the 8GB model has been discontinued for about six months now. There are none newer than October 2012.

Just got one from staples for $183 with tax.

Jus broke my 8gb nexus 7 a few weeks ago. And I don't wanna jump the gun but Google and Asus are pissing me off. I just want a date on a new one ?! These deals r so tempting

I'm in the same boat. Nearly bought an 16gb off swappa for $110, but thought its best I just wait it out.
I played with the N7 and comparing it to my N4, I just wouldn't be happy with the performance the 1st gen N7 has.

I have owned mine for a little over an hour. Got the 16 GB model at staples (in-store). With coupon code.

I had to get a 32GB. I have a 16GB already but wanted more Space and a used 32GB still goes for ~$150-200 used. For a few bux more with code I get a NEW one. I got a buyer lined up for my 16GB so I recoup a little cost there. IF the rumors of the $300 price for the new N7 is true I think I'll keep the 1st Gen N7 until the 3rd Gen comes out. I still have a couple of Tegra games so having a non-Tegra device is a waste. I like to have options.

I rma'd my 8gb just recently and Google sent me back a 16gb model which I will now sell to get the new nexus 7.
16gb is $149 at best buy if it hasn't already been said.

I have an 8gb WiFi model, and would like to upgrade.
I could get $55 from GameStop for it, although I will see if any friend would buy it for maybe $85.
Any ideas?
I will buy someones 8gb for $50 if its still in good shape. I have a feeling the price will plummet on the older versions once the new ones are released.
They are already selling for as low as $100 on swappa. I'd imagine they will drop further ones the 2nd gen is released.
Id def buy a 1st gen for $75 for my son to play with, to keep him off my 2nd gen of course. Our nook color isn't cutting it anymore.

I already have bits on my 16gb version for $200 on my local Craigslist... Buyer lined up tomorrow... I almost feel bad, but he's getting a lot of other things with it.

I'm going to wait and see the specs, and if 4.3 will help with the lockups and lag in my current Nexus. While better, the specs leaked have been kind of weird.

I'm still on the fence about upgrading. I just bought my N7 about 2 weeks ago BNIB for pretty cheap so I'm a little late to the party.
Besides some QC issues the original N7 has been good to me so far
I have accidental on my nexus with Staples. When the time comes BAM water will fall on my nexus and a $200 gift card will come my way

I'd like to get the new Nexus but I'm not sure it's much better than the 16gb one I have now. I need to get a new phone soon and I think I might save my tech upgrade cash for that.

Phone is def priority, but if the N7 specs are true it will be a huge upgrade. Sure its still going to be vanilla android and do all the things your current N7 does, but it will be much much faster.
If I had a 1st gen I probably wouldn't upgrade either, besides a boast in specs, its not like the 2nd gen has any must have features over the 1st gen.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
Given the price point, I'm liable to sell and upgrade.
Gonna keep, the n7 is so cheap you can't get much money for it.
if i sell my 32gb wifi i think i'll only get 120 euro's for it (payed 195 for it)
so if i upgrade (it's a big if, becausen i only got this one just a few months) i gonna give my old n7 away for free (proberly to my parents)
I have 2 I threw up for sale on Swappa last night
One is Brand new never used and the other is mine that is prestine. Asking $175 for either and got nothing yet.
Pity. I'm in no rush though.

They seem to be selling for slightly more on eBay than on swappa.

I sold mine on Ebay last night. £131 Posted in the UK for the 32gb Version. With damage
Awaits new model...
I've got a 16gb model I just bought a few months ago that I might flip. Seems like the upgrade would be worth it.
8 GB I bought at launch. Ready for an upgrade if only for added storage.

Not sure how long this will last, but they are brand new. It's still a very good device with KitKat and a solid performer for games. One device per buyer only.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-Google...0GHz-7-1GB-Memory-32GB-Tablet-PC/301083839376
I bought it just a few moments ago. I figured for $141 ($11 CA tax) it couldn't be a bad purchase. I will probably put Cyanogen Mod on it and see how it works out. I basically need a tablet for reading but after holding my moms Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 I realize that form factor is to large. So hopefully this will be okay. Also, sucks the 2013 Nexus 7 is a huge upgrade in terms of screen.
You should install MultiRom for it, then you can multiboot unlimited number of roms including stock.

says $179 now, that was quick.
I hope everyone realizes that is the 2012 model.

Yes, it says its the Tegra 3. but regardless for $130, it wasn't a bad deal at all. It's still a capable device.
