Hi guys
I have a problem with my xperia device So last week my USB port broke and eventually my phone died . Yesterday I bought a docking station and thought that I can charge the phone with it . However , there are no indications that the phone is charging . I tried the combination with volume up button and the power button but still its not working . Pls help me
Thank you very much for your answers
p.s. The docking station is not the Sony one it is the GooseWhite docking station for XperiaZ
I've got the goose white too, it does charge but if the phone is totally dead it will take a good while before it begins to show the led. I use the Sony charger with it, the one I got with the dock was pathetic.

Hi.
My xda stellar is not charging but in a very strange way...
The orange led is glowing and in power menu i get the "charging" notification but in fact the device is not charging... :S What's wrong??
I think that it happened after i tried to charge the device using a motorola charger. I don't have the original charger i used to charge it with an htc mini usb charger that i had.
The pins of the usb port seem ok...
For the moment i'm charging the battery outside of the device.. :/
Any suggestion?
Could be an old dried used up battery.
I tried a second one(new) that's not working too.....The device was working perfectly until i tried the motorola charger..
Hey, I'm having the same problem and I seeing as i brought the phone second hand it didn't come with an official charger and just used the USB mini i have laying around. Again I have replaced the battery thinking it was that. Nada. Still doing it.
I've taken the phone apart and cannot see anything wrong.
So I was wondering until the problem is solved, how are you charging the battery externally?
Thanks
Hi all, i do realise there's quite a few threads already covering the red light issue. However, my case seems to be different. Normally, what happens is that the phone turns on a red light under the power button if your battery does not hold enough charge to actually make use of the mini-usb port in order to charge your battery, so you get stuck without power.
In my case though, i have a second (fully working) X1 with a fully charged battery which i tried using on the X1 with the red light problem. Still the same, the phone wont turn on at all. The red light only comes up when i plug the wall charger or the usb cable.
The phone actually belongs to a friend, he mentioned that there was a powercut at his place while he had the phone connected to a stereo through the 3.5mm audio port. After that, it wouldnt turn on again.
Any help/suggestion(s) will be greatly appreciated. I know how to completely disassemble the phone, but i've no idea about the electrical system. Maybe someone could help me out here?
I have the same problem , swapped the battery with one from an X10 and the X10 powered up with my battery but my X1 didn't
Any advice ?
Anyone ?
try this,i had the same problem
plug your xperia to a working computer, leave it plugged for about 30-45 minutes and try to turn it on.it worked to me.
i have the same proble with u 2 mounth ago... and the problem was on the battery.. so i change the new batery.. n my x1 has normal again....

You might wanna edit that bit lol
It's possible the charger port is faulty, it's a common fault on notes, try cleaning it with alcohol and compressed air, also try new charger, sometimes mine says charging (usb) when connected to mains, I use same charger as my gf and hers says same so I believe my charger is at fault.
If the above methods don't help, consider repair under warranty if you have it.

anybody else?
Either ur charger or the usb port has went awry. So youa can check the battery charging it out of the phone. Externally and theb check if its working good.

Sir tried 3 chargers and usb cables.. also connected usb cable through computer, it is showing charging but it is not charging decreasing battery percent.. Battery is fine got new one to try, battery is working but not charging
Today my girlfriend's Xperia Z stopped charging completely and eventually ran out of battery as of now its just a brick
I've tried using multiple cables but none are working and ive also bought a Docking Station for the device so ill guess ill have to wait for that to arrive...
When you fiddle around with the cable the LED does light up at times.. and if you manage to get it in that right spot and keep it there,
The LED just flashes very fast and doesnt seem to actually give it any charge at all, Still cant power it on, Nor does it overheat.
Just wondering if anyone else has experianced this problem and has fixed it in anyway as the Docking Station is not always the most pratical way to charge for her.
If the last resort is sending it off to be fixed, does anyone know how much it will cost (£) or even if it can be fixed?
Its not waterproof anymore either since the rubber seals have started to deteriate over time which is not great..
But that is not the cause of the phone to stop charging. Just another problem.
Thanks in advance

Yeah it probably is, i've bought a replacement USB Port cheap so i will try and replace it when it gets here and hopefully that will fix it
Just a little dissapointing as the phone is less than a year old D:
I still have 6 year old phones that still work great makes me wonder about these new ones that break all the time
