Here a list of available known firmwares with their latest update while I make this thread. I don't intend to maintain it on a long term because I simply don't have any php skills for coding an automated checking process (it's borring to do this manually). I know a guy how could do it, but he's on LG devices...
If you're looking for download links, it's here.

sure this is the right cust n° ? when I check the link, it's empty.
btw, I've added c5502 infos
not really sure that's what it says on the box. lol. my service info is now the RU one so i don't really know now haha
EDIT: ahhh here it is... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44723573&postcount=544
Malaysia is MY btw... and according to the table ^ my cust is singapore which is a bit weird since SG doesn't have ZR officially... :/
lol man... it probably doesn't exist, or it refers to another thing, like the color or else. nice try : D
haha yea... it refers to the colour... (see link above)... still find it odd since it's listed as singapore which doesn't have ZR :/

well, I'm not surprised. Certain similar FWs cover bigger areas so it's easier for companies to deploy them. LG does it that way, for example. One FW doesn't necessary mean one country.

I have the C5502 SG version firmware before.
Now I flash 4.2.2 firmware (i.e C5503_10.3.1.A.2.67_Generic_ ) and downgrade it cuz of some font compatibility issue with our language.
How can I download original firmware?
I can't find it anywhere so I flashed C5503_10.1.1.A.1.310_Hong_Kong one.
I want my original C5502 SG version firmware can you help me to get it back?
this is possible, but you could simply flash the 5502 .310 US version available in torrent here
then, do the following :
root and apply the remount fix if needed
edit build.prop by changing the cust n° at the properties "ro.semc.version.cust" to 1273-0395 and the revision as well at the prop "ro.semc.version.cust_revision" to R0A
shutdown it (don't just reboot), then boot normally (this step is important)
finally, run PCC or SEUS and see what it says. you should get the appropriate update according to the cust n° previously entered.
Hey guys!
Can you tell me what the difference between the Nordic and the Netherlands version is (for the c5503)?
At the moment I'm on a Chinese version, and i want to change to a European!
not much differences. it's only about apps and services (some FW may require that you enter APNs manually). If I remember well, the NL version contains youtube, for example. The rest is the same.
Need little help

my SI = 1272-6466 C5502 (bought in so-called black market, thus, country origin is unknown, but I saw some Chinese on it).
Can you help me with the original .ftf of this. If you cant give me the file, please hint on how to find/make/create it.
Btw, other numbers around but I dont know what it is; next to SI at the back is "CB5"
Type: PM-0310-BV AAC 13W29
S/N: EP73248502 IMEI
Thank you.
P/S: My phone's IMEI was erased without any TA backups and I am trying to flash its original firmware back.
I just cant do this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2188129 to make my .ftf, so please dont ask me to.

Alright..first, credit to user "kistigun" from the Xperia Arc thread.
I saw the thread and thought that there is a need for us to know more in order to get going with our Xperia TX as I hardly come across any interesting topic based on the Xperia TX.
So here it goes, I'd like the Xperia TX users with UNTOUCHED FIRMWARE or has updated via PC Companion WITHOUT prior rooting or unlocking of boot loader to post their build.prop information with their country so that it will help us best ascertain the different firmwares available for the Xperia TX. In turn I believe this will also help us to know more or get the firmware that we are looking for..
How to find your customization number:
- Go to the dialer and press *#*#7378423#*#*
- Go to service info
- Go to software info
- Post your screenshot here or type in the details/ Also mention the country if you know (8 digit number with your respective region & carrier)
If rooted, look up the number in build.prop file in /system
Once you guys start posting, it will help us to classify based on the country and the network respectively..
Here we go..Thank you guys & keep updating! From what we have.. I'd appreciate if you guys can pack your firmware, upload and post so that Greg can post it here Thanks Greg
Malaysia 1266-3316
Hong Kong 1266-5813
Middle East 1266-3325
Taiwan 1266-5825
Vietnam 1266-5813
Russia 1266-6178
This is a good idea and I cant believe we havent already started a thread about this, (In fact I thought we already had)
Anyway, a couple of points.
This number should only come from those who have a new untouched phone and have not flashed any new rom (Stock updates from Sony are, of course, OK) otherwise this number may have changed.
Please accompany the 8 digit number with your region and carrier...

If you cannot wait for the release of US version, you can go around by switch to German version T580XXU2APL4, the same build as US version.
It takes 2 hours to download from sammobile. Here is the one I flashed

It takes only over 2 minutes to flash, then update software via wifi. The download is about 800MB, only about 5 minutes
Then finally I have Nougat for SM-T580. It's very easy to flash back when US version is available. Note: the German version is official firmware
so the status of the software is official. This procedure is not recommended to whoever not familiar with flashing firmware via Odin
Tablets sold in Europe or Asia are the same one as in US, firmware and software only be customized for certain region. So there is no differences if you flash firmware
from different region to your tablet. You just need to select English as your choice of language.
It works!!!!!!!!!!!

It doesn't matter where you are, Samsung servers only recognize a tablet by product code, country code and build number.
You live in Asia with a tablet's Germany firmware, it still be able to update newest firmware. I live in US and don't have any problem
to update, after the moment I checked for update, it downloaded immediately .
This is a Germany build, and it only checks available updates for that firmware based on country code XXU

Even after flashing one of the customized xperifirm FTF's changing it to H8216, Xperia Companion still sees my device as a H8276 (despite having H8216 shown under model name in the service info screen). Is there any workarounds to getting Android Pie on my device?
The error I see in Xperia Companion:
"UEGetPhoneInfoMissingInfo H8276 3546 1313-3413 R20A 51.1.A.11.51 2.1.12.0 / Windows 10 64 bit / Win32 / US"

I want to install the Android P beta builds to tinker with.
Are model numbers coded into hidden partitions similar to DRM keys?

It doesn't get updates / Bugfixes
My model Changes from h8296 to h8266.
I used xperifirm to download and flash it.

Thanks for the reply. I understand it works for you because your device itself was H8296, and so regardless Xperia Companion still allowed you to flash the Developer Build. My situation is my device itself is H8276 which is not on the beta list, but even after flashing it to H8216 successfully (and usable), Xperia Companion still detected that my device was a H8276 and would not allow the Android P beta to be installed.
Question: Is there in any way without rooting, to successfully change where ever Xperia Companion detects my model number? There must be some other parameter somewhere that the normal firmware flash does not update.
Hello according to the setup guide book H8216/H8276 are basically the same because I also have H8276.

Xperia Companion thinks, that my device is a H8266.
It allows me to install h8266 monthly updates
I downloaded the South African XFV (Vodafone) firmware and flashed it with Odin.
AP
BL
CP
CSC
After reboot the language is in German. Software shows VD2/VD2/XFV instead of XFV/XFV/XFV.
Does anyone know how I can fix this??
I want to use Samsung Pay but can't because my region is not correct.
Which firmware you have installed? Sounds like you have installed a branded Vodafone firmware which don't have your CSC included.
Don't be afraid to hit the "Thanks" button if someone helped you. It don't hurts

I used Samfirm and searched for the South African XFV firmware.
The only one that came up is the Vodafone XFV firmware. (My phone's country code is XFV)
The other two that's available for South Africa is XFE and XFA (if I remember correctly)
Will I be able to install one of the other South African firmwares on my XFV device?

So it was this CRG1 firmware version with OVF CSC (see screenshot)?
You could try to remove your SIM card and reboot 1 time. Then shutdown, put the card back in and boot again. Normally it should recognize the card and switch to the correct CSC View attachment 4567759

Hi there, first of all your thread is in the wrong sub-forum "development". It would be better placed in the "Q & A" section.
The firmware consisting of BL, AP, CP is the same for every country. It's the CSC that makes the difference. If you want XFV for Vodacom South Africa you must download the respective package. I usually use Sammobile. I personally am on DBT Germany which works 100% here in SA. If you are looking for VoLTE and WiFi calling forget it. According to Vodacom Cresta (in Joburg) the Note8 is not configured for these services which I find rather strange. But that's Vodacom anyway. Cheers LJ
That's not 100% correct. WiFi calling and VoLTE works for our Note 8. If it's not available by CSC, then it's a hidden feature which maybe can by enabled with apps like QuickShortcutMaker. Maybe VoLTE isn't supported by Vodafone in SA - that I don't know.

I did a Factory reset with a Vodacom sim and then replaced it with my MTN sim while loading.
Everything sorted now.

Of course, VoLTE & WiFi Calling works on the N8. I had it working on DBT when I was in Germany 4 weeks ago. But on Vodacom it just doesn't. It's a carrier specific problem. They assured me that both services have been activated. But that's Africa. You can never be sure. LJ
