Hello. This is my final resort. -.-
I used miniCM7-2.2.1. I've tried everything that has been suggested. My X8 hangs up on the Sony Ericsson logo and I cant access the xRecovery menu. To shut my phone down, I have to take out the battery, since it wont shut down when it hangs up no matter how long I hold the power button. Then I insert the battery again; but when I connect the USB cord, it starts up automatically and then hangs up again. I've tried flashing it but it wont detect in flash mode even if the led is green. so no luck on flashing. I tried SEUS but it says I already have the latest software installed so no luck in updating either. Somebody help! T.T
SUMMARY:
-Hangs up on logo screen
-Cant access xRecovery
-Doesnt detect flash mode (even when led is green)
-SEUS cant upgrade since latest software is installed
PLEASE HELP!
do you have pcc and x8 drivers installed? try rebooting your pc and attempt to flash again. you should be able to get into flash mode. also install gg drivers.
also, i can't quite remember, but doesn't minicm7 require a custom kernel?
Just because i don't doesn't mean i can't.

yea. i've done that too. apparently, it still wont enter flash mode. -.- is there a software that reverts phones to their factory settings? without the need of actually interfering with the phone? ugh. -.-

only seus, pcc,or flashtool.. since you can't get into recovery.
i got it flashed. i figured i'd insert the battery after i plugged into pc. then i flashed it with a stock rom for e16i. worked like a charm. however, i still havent found the right custom rom yet. does anyone has any suggestions?
Dear bro, don't PANIC! its the only thing that makes us to create a bit useless threads..
try with Flashtool second time!
and if doesn't work use PC COMPANION its your best Companion
repair the X8 via PC COMPANION
- Turn off the phone, and unplug it from the PC !
- On your PC, uninstall Sony PC Companion
- Restart your PC
- On your PC, clean any Cache and Registry related to Sony PC Companion, then restart PC again.
- Reinstall Sony PC Companion by downloading it from here
- Turn on Sony PC Companion on your PC
- In Sony PC Companion, enter the Support Zone tab
- Go to Update Phone Software
A window will pop out, saying that it cannot find your phone
- Click on Fix Phone
- Click on Continue
A window will pop out, saying that you will lose all your data
- TICK the BOX
- Click on continue
An update process will began.
Wait for it to show a window with all the SONY mobile phones
- Find your phone (X8)
- Click on the phone.
Now all you have to do is follow the on-screen instructions. It will tell you to hold the back button and plug your turned-off X8 to the PC, then it will erase everything, and download the original 2.1 ROM to your X8.
If Sony PC Companion STILL doesn't recognize your X8, then, uninstall Sony PC Companion AGAIN, and start the above described process AGAIN. It WILL eventually work!

Well, I can tell you that I had a similar experience recently and I almost **** my pants. After having occupied the restroom, PCC worked for me absolutely perfectly, albeit I did have some problems installing the necessary drivers (had to do it from a different machine, obviously something in the registry was messed up).
Seeing you solved the problem, I recommend you install either a 2.2 or 2.3 ROM. Don't go for 4.x ones if you're up for normal use because they are way too strong for this little device (kudos to the developers who made these ROMs happen, though).
My recommendations:
2.2 - FroyoPro v2.5
2.3 - GingerDX v031b
Both work really well with custom kernels, and are very fast and stable.
My X8 has also the same problem, It hangs up in the logo screen and I cant go into the Flashmode, If I can only go into the Flashmode I have already fixed it, but my X8 opens up every time I plug it in my computer. Can anyone help me with this problem?

OK,assuming you have probably root the phone, by the way can you managed to go into recovery mode in your phone? If so, then just copy your rom zip files into the SD card and install zip files from SD card in the recovery mode. By the which Rom and Recovery you are using?

Hello everyone!
Sorry for my bad English I'm not a native speaker..
So let me explain my problem. I have a Sony Xperia Sp and it's been stuck on the same loop...SONY logo-->XPERIA logo-->colors....This problem occurred when I tried to root my phone. Here's what happened...I downloaded the superuser app from the Play Store and I installed it successfully. When I opened the app I couldn't do anything cause it said that I needed permission...After that I went and downloaded the King-Root from my phone browser and I installed that too successfully ...I opened the app and first opened something called "Purify" and it did some stuff and it asked me to proceed...so I did that and when it finished it asked me to allow access to superuser app that I had downloaded earlier and I pressed "allow"..Then it asked me to reboot and pressed okay. After that my phone never rebooted again and it's stuck on that loop.
I can't access anything on my phone. The only thing I've tried, is that I pressed the power-off button with the back "off" button (a small orange one in the back of the phone) and it vibrated 3 times and then it closed and I when I powered it on again it did the same loop again ....plus SUS is no longer available.....
I have no idea what to do...
Thanks for your time I really appreciate it

Follow this guide,
and you need to download 2 things; Flashtool and Stock ROM's ftf file.
Use the search option to find the answers to your next questions, I'm sure you'll find everything you need.

Its called a bootloop, phone attempts to boot up but there are problems preventing it from doing so it just keeps trying and trying without avail.
Download Flashtool and a stock firmware (.ftf format)
Flash the firmware, enter flashmode by holding Volume Down while connecting phone to PC

He's already been installing firmware, and struggling with it.
PC companion will just fix it without alvaru_ having to make any decisions about which firmware to use.
Hello!
I have rooted my XP a long time ago with kingroot. switched to supersu after. No unlocked bootloader.
I just tried to change my font to a different one, which worked in the past. But now i am stuck in bootloop! (
I cannot use sony pc companion as the phone reboots all the time!
please help me as this is the only phone that i have!
I can hear the pc detecting the device but soon after the device reboots and it disconnects.
oh god, how many times I've heard this! please use the search button....!!!
anyway, last time I say this, when using flash tool, and you press the flash button, and it says waiting for phone, at the time (you have less than 1 sek actually, you have to try a couple of times to get it right) the phone is rebooting, right after the screen brightens up, hit the volume DOWN, led goes green, plug the usb in the pc (actually do this where you connect the micro usb first and the usb is really close to be plugged in but not in just yet, and when the time is right you push it all.)
I don't know if my explanation is understandable by you, if not check in youtube, there are a plenty of videos on how to put your xperia z in flash mode.
good luck
Thanks for your reply. I did manage to finally turn off the device and after i could repair it with pc companion. I have no recovery installed as i haven't unlocked my bootloader. So i couldn't use flasher as you said.
Now im on stock 5.1.1 rooted with kingroot + supersu script.

Anyway, good for you, you solved it by your own.
Flashtool actually (not the one provided by sony) can solve any problem, as long its not hardware related.
