Its called a bootloop, phone attempts to boot up but there are problems preventing it from doing so it just keeps trying and trying without avail.
Download Flashtool and a stock firmware (.ftf format)
Flash the firmware, enter flashmode by holding Volume Down while connecting phone to PC

He's already been installing firmware, and struggling with it.
PC companion will just fix it without alvaru_ having to make any decisions about which firmware to use.

So I've seen a lot of threads on here with this kind of problem but none of the solutions work for me.
I just flashed CyanogenMod 10 nightly, was tinkering around on it, rebooted and I was just stuck in a bootloop. I can't get into recovery but I can get into download mode. However, my computer just doesn't detect the phone at all. I can't get Odin to detect it to flash a new bootloader or anything. I've tried installing Nexus drivers and everything. It just doesn't even detect that anything has been plugged into the computer. But the usb powers on the phone. If I plug into power I just get a spinny loading wheel that doesn't move and refreshed every few seconds.
I'm stuck. I can't get into recovery to flash, and I can't get my computer to detect it to flash. Help me please?
EDIT:
Okay so tried 3 different USB cables and I've found one that works. I tried flashing a new bootloader but I used the bootloader bit on Odin instead of pda (total noob mistake) now my screen is just black and won't turn on. I can get into download mode to flash stuff again. But what do I need to put in the bootloader section to get it back to normal?
I think you have to start from Gingerbread again
Search on samifirmware a 3 files firmware of Android 2.3.6
After that search on google a Step by Step guide how to flash a Rom with Odin.
I think after that i should work.

Nothing. Never put anything in the bootloader section. Instead, look for a rom that has bootloader in it. I believe that the darky resurrection rom has bootloader.

I had the same issue with cm-10-20121125-NIGHTLY-galaxysmtd (after with cm-10-20121126-NIGHTLY-galaxysmtd as well!),
symptoms: after automatic install of mentioned version the phone rebooted, but I've got stuck in bootlop, and I couldn't enter in Recovery Mode, just in Download Mode.
I've managed to fix it in the following way:
1. I've downloaded the Semaphore kernel for JB (Semaphore ver. 2.6.0), and unpacked it.
2. I've used heimdall: `heimdall flash --kernel zImage`
3. After that the phone boots and CM finishes the upgrade as usual. (I've did not lost anything from my data.)
(Environment data: OS: Ubuntu 12.04, Heimdall 1.3.2)

Hi

Any ideas?
Thanks
Hello,
I want to ask you for some help. I've rooted my phone with Vroot 1.7 downloaded from the official page. I didn't realised before rooting that i had installed Supersu app (downloaded from Play Store, for testing root privileges when i installed .254 from PC Companion). The Vroot tool install a different app for manage root (a chinese one) and i think that the problem is there, in the conflict between those apps.
Now i can't turn on my phone, just continue rebooting loops and the screen only shows the "SONY" logo when i try to turn it on. I think it is soft bricked because it responds to the internal OFF button.
I also tried to repair my phone from the Support Zone in PC Companion but it didn't work. I need some help because i haven't phone and im getting nervous =S
Thank you.
Just download a stock FTF for your mobile from here and flash it using FLASHTOOL this will solve your problem

SOLVED: It works. Thank you so much.
I have an Xperia Z1 C6903.
After updating to kitkat, I was disgusted by the new battery life, so looked up how to flash my phone back to jellybean.
I followed a guide I cannot link to in my first ten posts:
xperiafirmware.com/8-firmware/42-sony-xperia-z1-c6903
(Number 2 - flashing to 4.3).
I used the FTT linked there and the flashpro linked there.
Ran fine, here is the log: dropbox.com/s/13883t74e20b61k/flashtool_2014-04-14_06-25-39.log
After completion, I unplugged, booted phone, and now it is stuck in a reboot cycle. Seems to crash during the flare animation screen.
Please help! I've stopped the reboot cycle by running it in flash mode, then disconnecting it from the PC. As soon as I turn it on, the cycle begins again.

I'm not sure how to do this. I'm looking the update option in PCC, but this keeps asking me to turn the phone on, which I can't do. It'll only get to flash mode.

Thank you, this has made the phone functional again. Unfortunately lost messages and such, but not too bad...
I guess I'll run with kitkat a while to see if the battery issue has resolved. If it hasn't, is there a better flash file I can use, or a safer method of going back to jellybean?
I was using CM12 for quite a long time. Then I received an OTA update to CM13. After using it for a few days the device suddenly crashed and wouldn't switch on since then. Whenever I try to switch it on, it vibrates three times. If I connect a charger, it vibrates three times. If I connect to my PC, it vibrates three times.
Sometimes suddenly it boots up and then again crashes in the middle, and vibrates three times.
Is it some kind of hardware problem? :crying:

Any other way to flash a rom, when the device doesn't boot or go into fastboot/flash mode?

Hey there! I think it's some infection from the CM ROM. The same happened to me.
The best you can do is submit your phone to the centre, that is if it goes into flashing.
I think it's some ram problem or CM's internal boot file corruption, after the latest OTA.
Search for bricked xperia phones on google and XDA, you may get something helpful.

Hi ,I think your device is still alive.
There is a recovery tool named the minimal system flash tool (最小手机系统烧写工具 in Chinese), which may help to unbrick the MTK device by flashing the fundamental images. After that you are able to flash any stock/custom ROM by SP flash tool.
Attached the link below for your reference which is in Chinese. You may try to get the English version if needed.

Hope this helps.
