[Q] galaxy music duos GT-S6012 back up - Samsung Galaxy Music

I am new to rooting concept . Sorry to create another thread on the topic. i have few doubts. i read many threads about various methods of rooting. I want to know whether i can take a full back up of my current ROM before rooting ?? If yes HOW ???
After rooting will my warranty be void ??? i also read that if I unroot it it is not possible to find out whether its rooted or not , is it TRUE ??
Thank You

[Q] How to deal with Australia Telstra S3 4g

Dear,
I would like to get some information,
I would like to know is there any difference in rooting testra's s3 4g (i9305t) compared to international i9305
How to root and does it void my warranty? and also how to tackle with warranty if in any case i have installed custom rom or rooted my device.
And also what is the best custom rom available for this (I9305T) device.
Pls dear guide me,
Thanks in adv.
i just picked one up on saturday. rooting is extremely easy. following the guides in the dev section for i9305 NOT I9300. make sure u follow the stickies first to make backups of important artitions, IMEI etc.
Im currently running supreme rom. Do NOT try and fly a rom for i9300.
You can use exynos abuse to easily root but use the stickies to install cwm
Pls let me know my other question in the first thread.
Thanks in adv.
all of your questions can be answered by searching, there's nothing new here.
the i9305T can be rooted same way as the i9305
yes it will void your warranty
flash stock telstra ROM and use a USB jig or triangle away for warranty returns
best custom ROM? you're kidding.. right?
I plan on rooting the same phone here, proble is there's so much information all ove rthe place and you don't know where to download from where and so on...
There's some guides in the development forum for sgs3 though that are a bit more helpful...
Thanks for ur guide.
There are lots of information available, bt we always have to think twice before playing with the phone.
There are many issues in which some ppl lost there imei, and so.
So I ask here what is best to root the phone,
Everyone said that there are lot of apps available for rooting, but pls can u suggest me, which method is best of all,
Pls.
Thanks dear.

1. At first this is the wrong section. You have to ask nooby questions in the Q&A section (if you don't find anything in the forum).
2. This is your second question without searching anything on the web. We have a great general forum where you can find the answers for all your questions.
3. If you uptade via odin to 4.1.2, then the firmware automatically unroot your phone

When in 4.1.2 root your phone, after root flash the custom rom 4.3 you will not have the new bootlaoder and will not have issues on knox things.
But if I'm you I will wait for Galaxy S5 coming on March or April I think.

Thanks Bro that was my expected answer.. and one thing i saw some thread state that internal sd should be format and if not there would be some file/folder error.... so when i flash 4.3 is there anything else i do??
No, for real. Just flash ANY custom 4.3 rom over your 4.1.2 (custom roms don't contain bootloader) and you are ready to go/use
This way, I had no problems... And I've been flashing my phone TONES of times ;p

[Q] Quick Question ..

Hey XDA !!
Maybe this question is thrown around a lot , but here it goes anyways . I have pre-ordered a Nexus6 (64GB,blue) and am expecting it to arrive by the end of this week. Is it advisable/necessary to root the device ? I mean most of the nexus owners here have already rooted their phones ( judging by the signatures ) . I currently own a Xperia Arc S (LT18i) which i had rooted due to performance issues (cm9) but i wasnt very happy with it considering I lost the bravia settings. So do I really need a rooted phone ? And also what is the difference between unlocked bootloader and rooted device.
These are pretty basic questions and if there is a thread for any of this please post a link here in the comments . Pretty new to all this.
Thanks

here a pretty basic answer.. if you NEED root, then yes, its advisable. if you dont need root, why would you root? the only thing that can be done with root is changing out system files and running apps that need root. it wont do anything else for you.
if you want to flash roms or other things, you dont need root either. but you would need to unlock your bootloader and flash a custom recovery. you dont need root to flash roms or kernels, you only need root to change system files and run apps that need root.
what differences/advantages one gets after rooting , considering nexus already has stock android .

again, the difference is that with root you can change system files and run root oriented apps. root itself does not change anything except add in the superuser binaries.

You can always Google the terms or watch some videos on YouTube etc. it comes down to personal preference and your goals/intentions with your device.
