Ok, long lurker, first post. All of my problems have been found by reading/searching. Here goes..
HTC One, rooted, TWRP 2.3.6 S-off- everything was good. I tried flashing update firmware 3.04.651.2 found here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2467607
everything went perfect, now it boots just like always.....and no touchscreen? Totally unresponsive .Home and back light up when touched. I tried to restore, same deal, no touchscreen. I'm at a loss, and I've searched google for hours now.
PS- Touchscreen works perfect in TWRP. Please help, this is driving me nuts!!!!!!!!!
****Please help....anyone?....

Well I just downloaded and installed the deodexed 3.xxx updated Rom. All is working. Thanks to those who responded. I did not wipe cache, dalvik cache when I tried installing just the update. Maybe that was my problem? I didn't think I had to wipe anything when installing an update. Anyway, its sorted...thanks.
You can only use 3.xxx roms, if you try earlier roms you will have to downgrade like above

CWM won't flash roms I have restored a backup of CM9 from july, but I can't flash anything new.
Should I install that touch recovery?
TWRP? Sure, give it a go... cant hurt... worst off you can start over with webos doctor and reflash that package. Could be a bad install of CWM.
Try downloading ROM manager and flashing a n update through it too...

Right now I flashed a backup I made today of the original ROM from the tutorial. Now I installed goomanager and it's currentyl downloading the touch recovery. ROM Manager couldn't find any for the device and asked if I installed manually.
Okay, I just flashed touch recovery and there is no entry in moboot for touch recovery or cwm
Must have been a bad install of CWM... rather than messing around with it, maybe just start from scratch...:banghead:

TWRP won't flash my zip, I thought I finally had it working I'm going to try another zip....
YES! TWRP flashed OaT's light CM9! Finally... the sad thing is that it must have been a bad zip the whole time causing my problem. But now I have a good CM9 stable and I couldn't ask for more. Thanks for your helped man I thanked all your posts!
Today after restoring a backup with recovery my touch screen died and i had to return my phone to Bel Company / Vodafone.
Because they have a crappy service (they dont't want to give me a replacemend phone) i'm out of a phone for 3 ****ing weeks
I got a feeling that it had something to do with the recovery touch kernel because i got after restoring my backup the grey triangle and got stuck there for abou 15 minutes before it rebooted. I'm not sure if that's the reason but my guts says it.
So now there will be 3 hard weeks for me without a smartphone :crying:
I have this problem 50% of the time when I switch between different kernels ,flash them thru fast boot and such. Relashing kernel that matches your kernel created by recovery always fixed the problem for me

I had the same problem when jumping from JB to ICS a couple of times in an hour, changing kernels, ROMS, basebands etc etc etc. Just try flashing stock ICS twice (I don't know why it worked for me. First time - no luck. Second -YAY!) without flashing any kernel and boot. Then check if everything works.

My phone is at Vodafone now, have to wait 3 weeks before i'll get it back :crying:
After having the triangle, I noticed there are some "tad" daemon things and something about /system/etc folder permissions problem in the log. This could be related to TWRP. But nothing for warranty repair. I have the triangle everytime I forget to unmount system partition in recovery.
And the triangle appears always, when I try to change composition type.

Maybe it's trying to reflash touch firmware in some part for some reason?
See hw_config.sh.
And if you do hard restart at this point, it can break the touch firmware.
It would be safe, removing the firmware from /system/etc/firmware.

This is the link for people who are stock and unlocking their phone. If you're using the toolkit put it in the data folder and rename to twrp. Be careful though the other files are the same name but in capital letters! Flash it and u will have responsive twrp and rooted 4.3 ota

Yea I do not know how to get into recovery. I locked my bootloader while rooted with s-off then did the ruu to 1.29 stock, did the update, up til 4.3 and everything went fine. I Unlocked bootloader again with the unlock code from HTC and my phone shows unlocked. However I cannot get recovery to work, I fastboot flashed the newest version of twrp several times and it would say successful. When in bootloader I click on recovery it brings me to the htc screen with opening recovery on top, and the bottom saying that this is for experimental purposes. The screen hangs there for about a minute then it goes to black and the phone resets itself. If someone else had this happened to them and got it working respond, it is annoying that I am unlocked with s-off but I cant flash a custom recovery.
Hey guys,
I got my HTC One yesterday with the original firmware which i had to root and unlock with TWRP, i notice there's a new version of the firmware and i know i might end up asking a repetitive question but i was unable to find anything about it (or what i've found was so much that it confused me). I was wondering if someone could shed some digital light on me and point me where i can learn how to upgrade the firmware, can i simply update on the phone or do i have to do anything special because of the TWRP thing? Also is there anything better then the original 4.3 where can i read about it?
thank you!
Anyone???
S-off first using revone s-off and then update TWRP, download and install a sprint 4.3 Rom and then install firmware...I will supply the links for revone and the firmware.

I already have S-off, TWRP. I cant use the OTA 4.3 version, right? Can i go from 4.1.2 to ViperROM 4.3, for example? Or do i have to S-ON, install stock 4.3, flash recovery again with TWRP and S-OFF and then install a custom ROM?
Just download a sprint 4.3 Rom, then update firmware seperately...now I don't think viper one 4.3 is for sprint

Hey, im lost again. I just got to that thread and there's lots of links for S-OFF, with insecure boot, etc... Which i dont know nothing of. The guide is for flashing a firmware with 20Mb size? What's that and whats that for? After i flash that what do i have to do? It just says how to flash that firmware and the second post is the stock ROM. Should i flash the firmware and then let the phone update the OTA?
Just flash the Rom first, then you can fastboot flash the firmware without hboot..the firmware is the update/ota

Reports are that anyone that has used to "revert to MJ5" thread, is running into a failure between 25 to 27%.
This is likely the problem.

Further reports are saying that you will have to take it to an AT&T store or Sammobile in BestBuy to have them flash MJ5. Then you take the NB4 OTA and will be able to grab the KK OTA.

I had the same problem. After I reset everything to stock and even unrooted I still had the problem.(I think everyone who rooted has this problem) I just went to att device warranty center and swapped out my phone if they ask you whether you rooted your phone just say "no". Updating to Kitkat as we speak on my replaced phone.

They should be able to just flash 4.3 onto it?
Then again, why not just flash a 4.4.2 rom? You'd retain root, and it's basically the exact same hahahaha

Same here, not rooted and it got to 25% or so
To the people saying "I'm not rooted", WERE you rooted? I read somewhere else that could be the issue. I unrooted so I could update and it failed the same way as everyone else here. Please specify everything when you say you're not rooted. I read that someone who left their device rooted got it to update just fine but they lost root, which is to be expected but it did actually work for the guy. I'm going to reroot and try again.

Hour later hit back to stock slot then deleted slot 1 azure proceeded to unroot and delete safestrap and wiped data reset so I figured I'd be ok. Update ota kitkat gets 28% fails. So..I'm watching. I would say the issue has to be on AT&T's end. I had issues with my internet so I soft bricked mine during the rooting process b/c the file was corrupted. Used odin to revert back to stock MJ5 and then updated to NB4. I have tried to wipe the data for the download manager within the app manager, wiped cache in recovery, did a factory reset after getting updated to NB4 and tried different working internet sources just to make sure.

It's a device issue. Certain files that should be there are gone and files that shouldn't be there are there.
It's not on AT&T's end. It's local to the device software itself
