I did a backup, installed a new Rom but ended up restoring my backup I made so I know it's in the storage somewhere.
So I went to delete the older backup I had in the twrp folder and there are none there and there should be 2 of them, I can see them in twrp, so where else would they go.
When I do go in my storage or shows emulated, sdcard0, and legacy, either one I click on I get to my storage and everything is the same.
Look at the top left of the screen shots of the folder locations, there different but they go to the sane place.
I tried uploading 4 pictures but only 1 shows

Hi all
I've got a s3 i9305 french SFR. I tried to root It with à bad file bye odin. Alter that the phone boot without asking pin code and i have no signal. After i root it again with the good file and the root is ok. But the boot is still bad. The phone tell me that i am in factory mode. When i shutdown it, it do directly without the normal interface. After many research i can phone. Sorry for my english, i am a french user.
Please help.
Seems hat you are in factory mode. That mostly happens if your efs folder is damaged... I had the same issue plus an annoying yellow font on black background ... did you backup your efs folder?
No i Didn't and i read it could be the problem. But there is no solution for the moment ?

Ok ....
First try:
1. Root the device and then download SuperUser first and Terminal Emulator from Google Play store.
2. After that launch SuperUser app and then use Terminal Emulator to type in the following commands:
Code:
su
echo -n ON > /efs/FactoryApp/factorymode
(ON is the right to disable it, dunno why)
I try it but no change. I had edit the file factorymode to change it before but nothing happened. Tanks

What helped me was: go to your efs folder and change the rights to rwx rwx x
I tried it before and no change. Do you still have the problem or it's ok for you now ? Do you know how to rebuild efs folder ?

No Problem and good luck!!!
You need to follow my sticky guide in the dev section.
It's the section on how to fix your device after bad or incorrect root package.
You need to flash the Param binary in odin that I have uploaded to fix your device.
SIM pin, imei and data connection will then be back.
Here is the guide link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1946915
Please read the first post in that thread
Good luck!

Google Wallet for the HTC ONE.
-Easy fix for viper Rom
-Should work on stock rooted w/ wp . -removed Kernal
-Always save your original build.prop before modifying
Using Rom Toolbox
1. Open up build.prop editor
2. Change the following values
ro.product.model=Galaxy Nexus
ro.product.name=yakju
ro.product.device=maguro
3. Save changes
4. Reboot device, install wallet and open
-wallet takes a couple minutes to initialize so be patient, it works great!
5. Restore your original build.prop
This method should work fine on stock rooted also as long as you have a kernal with /system wp removed.
Also, if you don't want Rom toolbox you can navigate to /system/build.prop and open the file in any text editor to make the changes.

Honestly I'm not sure where I got it. I believe that it came from Viperrom. Duce says that it wasn't added in d3rpONE (I noticed mine working while I was on d3rpONE, but I think something restored it from viperrom), and the only other ROM that I've run is Viper's.

Think rooting would help overcome the problem of being on AT&T? Not sure why it worked on my Nexus S, since it was on AT&T too... I may have bought it as an unlocked phone, originally...

Ok guys, I know i left y'all hanging with my other thread with the custom launcher...BUT!! this one is fully working with native Ouya launcher.
You can log in, buy games, re-download games you may have bought on your ouya already and so on. its your ouya now in your hands
All files provided have been release in some form already so i hope i dont get banned for them...
Most are from different SDKs. I just found the right mix and how to make them run by directly inserting them to System.
All files MUST be transferred directly to the System/App folder of the shield, you CAN NOT install them as User Apps then move them to System/App. it will not work this way!!
Download Link http://www.mediafire.com/download/g8hdkw2xr92z9pa/Ouya_files.zip
1). Extract zip to a location on your shield.
2). Use ES File Explorer to manually move the files to System/App
3). Reboot your Shield.
4). Select OUYA Launcher form Home Screen selection.
5). Create/Log in to an account.
6). Enjoy this little mod!!!
I strongly recommend having Xposed Installer and App Settings installed on your device.
Set the OUYA Launcher DPI to 200 - 230 to fit the Shields screen correctly.
I can't seem to get this working. I transfer the files to system/app then reboot but after my shield reboots I'm not getting any options to use the launcher

I didn't change permissions on mine though, just injected the apks, rebooted and it launched into the ouya launcher when I selected it. But I did clear cache and dalvik in recovery before rebooting. Which lead to the "Android Apps Are Upgrading" screen.
Also go to settings and manually set up an Ouya account in accounts before starting the launcher. See if that helps.

i know amazing frog extracted from the ouya works on shield, but with the ouya mod, do games that I extracted before(dub wars, the ball, and others) work?, or is this problem because of the developers coding to the ouyas Bluetooth module?
---------- Post added at 10:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:47 PM ----------
also tried connecting the ouya controller to shield to see if it would work with the extracted ouya games, but it doesn't, its the same as playing gta3 or vice city with the controller, its all wonky, and doesn't work properly, try it for yourself and you will see!

It asked the same for me, I just said yes, although for some reason binaries seem to fail at updating. But when using an app that requires root, Super SU still asks to allow root to tha app. I also used Titanium Backup Pro to freeze three apps relating to Knox. You can also do that as well, just to be safe.
