It asked the same for me, I just said yes, although for some reason binaries seem to fail at updating. But when using an app that requires root, Super SU still asks to allow root to tha app. I also used Titanium Backup Pro to freeze three apps relating to Knox. You can also do that as well, just to be safe.

Just FYI it was not actually a link to the SuperSU app the user just stated that he went to the website and downloaded the latest SuperSU files and manually installed SuperSU and then the updated apk. As you said after installing the new SuperSU.apk version it updates properly.

Here is the link... And by the way you open the zip with the normal file manager and extract the files and then when you're in the folder find he apk and just install it. It not rocket science.

Hey
Where is the software update actually stored on the device? (The 8/4/2011 for the LG Revolution).
Once updated, can yo install CWM? Can it be rooted?
Just hang out, it will not install through cwm. Thecubed is going to be working on it.

I actually wanted to tinker with the Software Update file and see whats inside. I wanted to know where Android downloads it to on the filesystem.
I'm sure TheCubed will figure it out with CWM

It possibly could install by changing it to a zip file but who knows what it would mess up. With recovery items in there it may mess up cwm, that is a little above me without doing more research into it.

He's right. Installing the update without removing some stuff from it first (like it's new boot.img and the "installrecovery.sh" script) would possibly softbrick your device.
Decrap2 will take a while to do since it's gonna take a lot of work to apply this update to my ROM (gotta flash back to stock and apply the OTA, then deodex and then remove bing all over again...)

I have two revolution devices.
One was stock (as if I bought it from a VZW store), the other one was with CWM.
The CWM with Decrap on it. (giving lots of issues with the launcher such as missing icons, etc)
Stock is on the latest LG update.
CWM is on the OEM release

so you installed motorola device manager to get the correct drivers right? if so just wipe caches on your phone from within recovery (power + vol-up simultaneously with power off) and try motofail2go again. make sure you are doing the bug report button combo correctly. just keep trying

Homescreen is where you start the process.
Make sure you have unknown sources checked in settings and usb debugging turned on.
And when the process is successful will something
Happen? Like will the phone reboot or something?

Its funny they specifically put the model number and said it was supported. I would bet money that it does not work at all and they are just a shady group that should not be trusted.
I would wait for a video link to see if it works before anyone tries
I don't see the model number listed there. I wonder if someone just got overzealous with adding S5 variant model numbers and corrected it.
*edit* I see it now, I had to do a search. Hmmm... I don't know how this snuck under the radar if legit.

Loki is an instance of being able to use a custom recovery w/o unlocked BL. Coming from an i337, you begin to assume boot loader unlock isn't likely.

did SRSRoot install the SuperSU if so check your settings "Application Manager" in settings, if SuperSU is installed as a user app it will be listed in the "Downloaded" section if it is installed as a system app it will be in the"All" section.
or run a file explorer like esfile explorer that will allow you to view the /system/app folder (you cant write to it but you can still read from it) check and see if Supuser.apk exists in /system/app, if it does that means that at some point the srsroot app is gaining R/W access to system.

Did you gave root access to xposed? Do you even rooted your device?
Grab a logcat, it'll show the actual reason why it's failing.
You can also install it through ADB (or `pm` from a terminal emulator), that'll directly give you the exact error.

I've normally only seen that error when the file is already in the system somewhere. I don't know the file structure of an LG phone and I'm sure it's completely different than a Samsung. Check also in data/app

Were you able to download today's update, and install it? From what I understand, it will not let you install due to the changes in the system partition due to root.
