ATT software update !!! - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

wow! i'm suprised !
i'm rooted but i'm still able to OTA !
it' 236mb.

Were you able to download today's update, and install it? From what I understand, it will not let you install due to the changes in the system partition due to root.

That's right. He will be able to download the update but not to install it.

Correct it fails install but does download.

Is this 5.1.1
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G925A using XDA Free mobile app

It's because AFAIK it's not pure MJ5 but it's modified. We never had MJ5 build on Kies or Sammobile.

4.4.2 LEAKED ROM, How do i root?

Hey i have the leaked version of 4.4.2 rom installed on my ATT note 3.
I hear news on the OTA update but i don't see why i need to get it.
I just want to get my phone rooted so i can use some of the applications that require super permissions.
Downgrading to 4.3 build seem like an option but some of the links bring me up to "file was removed because of copyright/somethinglikethat", also i prefer more of a one-click style.
But does anyone know where i can find it? Searching for it leads me to the exact opposite of what im looking for. So hopefully a thread post can help me out.
You can't directly root it as far as I know.
You may end up having to revert to MJ5, install SS and then install one of the 4.4 ROMs we have available.

i read his post, but you can't get safety strap installed properly without having super user permission. If there is no root for the leak i only see the option to downgrade to jb and get root. The process seems tedious and like i said a bunch of the things you need to download, the links aren't workin.
As far as I know, the links are fixed.
Some people like myself are not lazy and have no problem doing tedious things to get their phones to function the way they want.
You may not care about downgrading to upgrade to a custom 4.4.2 ROM with root, but others do.

It asked the same for me, I just said yes, although for some reason binaries seem to fail at updating. But when using an app that requires root, Super SU still asks to allow root to tha app. I also used Titanium Backup Pro to freeze three apps relating to Knox. You can also do that as well, just to be safe.

[Q] Am I safe to Update My Xperia Z1s?

Xperia Z1s got an OTA update yesterday...And I was wondering if I could update and still re-root..Or if I'd keep the root.. I've done this on other phones before But the Z1s I'm not so sure about..
From another thread
Just got notification on O2 (UK) that 4.4.4 update is available OTA.

Before I install, can anyone confirm if this OTA update will preserve my towelroot root?
Don't worry about it, the new 4.4.4 FW is easily rooted using newroot from munjeni. Look in the development section, its a 1 click solution and will install recovery as well.
So this will work with the Z1s?
Not talking about the Z1

I used to run the Tmobile support forums a few years ago. We used to get the same builds from most of the Canadian Operators would get but with different build numbers and they would work (at least for samsung and htc devices). There were some minor differences such as wifi calling but for the most part the devices share the same hardware and software tweeks for US based GSM operators and Canadian ones. I dont have much experience on sony devices though.
The update is 14.4.B.0.37
I haven't installed it yet because Rooting the Z1s was tricky to begin with And I don't wanna do something I'll regret

You have to excuse our skepticism... it's just that we've been waiting for KitKat for over half a year, with no sign of it whatsoever, and then you tell us that your phone is being sent the update. You have to be 100 percent stock for ota to install.
Upload ota to a file provider.
