I am unable to remove it
I have done multiple restarts to c if it gets corrected itself but it doesn't
I tried keeping a pattern but this screen remains present. After unlocking this, my device asks for pattern.

Something you've installed have set up a lock-screen of it's own. It's not the device causing this, it's some third-party app. The behaviour your describe is identical to what for instance Widget Locker provides. Check all recently installed apps, and if no obvious culprit is found, simply uninstall them one by one until the lockscreen goes away, then you know which one caused it!
I should note though, this isn't the forum for the galaxy S4 but the galaxy S4 ACTIVE - so if you need any further assistance you should probably go ask in the right forum.

You really need to go ask your questions in the forum for the S4. We don't have the same phone, so we can't easily help you.
Google Galaxy Nexus
I made no changes or updates to the phone. I woke up this morning, after using the phone for nearly a year, and my text messages are now being displayed on my lock screen for all the work to see...and blocking my wallpaper. How do I make it go away??

You're in the wrong forum - this forum is for the Galaxy S4 Active. You need to find the right forum for your device and ask your question there.
Good luck!

Anyone knows how to fix this? I'm in Norway, and we switched to summertime at 03am.
Phone internal clock changed automatically, but widget clock didn't.
Is there a trick?
Reboot didn't work.

This is within the same widget, and in the same view. Hmmm..

Mine didn‘t change ether, it looks like that LG has forgotten something about daylight saving.
Il‘l guess that we soon will have a update from them.
Update: I have reported it to LG with screen dump so they can see the problem.

Hoho yeah
I learned yesterday, or the day before, how to make a screenshot;
Hold “home“ and push powerbutton. Tada! No software needed. Pre-installed.

Yeah my clockwidget is doing the same thing. I'm in Sweden.
Huh, I just played around with androids time and date settings and now my widget is showing the correct time. Try it.
Yes indeed, if you change in Time and Date Settings the Time Zone back to GMT +1 (instead of GMT +2) than the time is OK.
(you also have to set the time right again - disable automatic setting first - you can enable this setting afterwards).
Can't get mine to display the correct time. Oh well, for now a different app. Hopefully it's fixed fast.

fixed mine by using the default time settings options and fiddle around with them a while everything is working again now but surely lg should implement some settings to this widget ...

Snowstorm
(for no, se and dk) Use the Snowstorm widget, it is utilizes yr.no.
...but the HELL do you adjust brightness, unless I'm missing something lol. Under Display the option to adjust brightness is grayed out and there's no other option I see to adjust... unless I'm missing something and been awake for too long and losing brain cells here.
Is automatic brightness checked? If so, you'll need to uncheck it to manually override it.
Hard to describe it, but the option to select it is grayed out, maybe this picture can help?

Mine does the same thing. I had to add the power control widget and change it that way.
Sent from my LG-P925 using XDA App
Lol wow, I didn't even bother to think of that!!
It did the trick, but still wish there was a way to get that option enabled. I wonder if it's like that because of the 3D stuff? I guess it helps with it or something.
Do you have frozen apps? If so it might be from that I had the same thing I unfreeze them then its good again. Or download brightness control widget the use that then go to your settings see if its showing again not grayed out

Don't see how, just turned it on not too long ago. Checked running apps and nothing seems out of the ordinary. Even rebooted and still did it.
Try installing brightness level from market use that then go to the settings and check see if anything has changed

That works great, but option is still grayed out, lol.
I can live with using a widget though, I just wanted my BL to be on Auto and the little widget thing allowed me to do it. Strange that some phone work and others don't.
Everyone is running Froyo 2.2.2 just to be sure right?
Yes but mine was grayed out also then I did that it became not grayedout

hi i installed cyanogenmod 10.1 jelly bean 4.2.1 on my galaxy mini and the pattern lock is to small to use and on pin lock the numbers get cut of. pictures are uploaded o show you. i want to modify it so it uses the slide lock, then after you slide over to unlock it it shows the pattern or pin unlock without the time and it takes up all the screen. i have put blueprints up to show my idea. or if that can't be done then i want to resize the clock smaller and move it and make pin/pattern bigger.

Our screen is just not big enough. Even if you resize it, it will be too small, or it will overlap the clock.
You can use custom lockscreen, there are plenty of look alike 4.2.1 lockscreen

I agree with Jayd3n on this. In fact, this is probably the only thing keeping me from using the CM10 rom on my mini. Is the only answer to install a custom lock screen? I looked around the play store for quite a while and didn't find any that did what Jayd3n described...basically copied the pattern lock from CM7.2. I wanted to ask the Dev for the Touch Wiz version of this rom for the GM to see if they could add it in, but I don't have enough posts yet. Does anyone have any other advice for us?
Setting up pattern unlock is USELESS. If someone is stealing your phone, he nows what he is doing. Wipe data, pattern solved. I don't know why everybody wants it. But our screen is too small, so if you resize it, other stuff will become too small/cut.

if it was really useless, it wouldn't be there. i use it to prevent flatmates and other peoples from using my phone when i leave it in other room or kitchen.

As the title says, when I'm on the lock screen, the home and back button are already visible. This is annoying, is there someone else with this problem? Maybe a solution? Everything is stock. The strange thing is, when I try to make a screen shot of it, they go away...

That's totally normal. The softkey bar is always present, since the softkeys are essential for operating the device.
No I mean, when your on the lock screen, that bar is supposed to be all black. Well not anymore, the back and home button already appeared. They should appear when the device is unlocked.

Stock Android 4.1.2, but I found the cause of it. Unbelievable, it was the Sony smart key app. When I installed it the problem happend. And guess what, now u deleted the app, the bar is back black. Can someone else try this to see if it is just my phone or it is the app?

I was having the same irritating issue...and also found the Smart Key app to be the culprit. It occurred on .140 as well as AT&T's .120.
After deleting Smart Key, the problem has not returned.
So I've got something weird going on with my nexus: a lot of times when there is an approve/disapprove option box (like the picture) I cannot tap the ok button. This happens all the time when enabling a accessibility option or when trying to grant a root privilege. Odd thing is if I connect an input device and do it that way it works no problem. Please help me fix this problem

turn show touches on in developer mode and see if it is a bad spot in your touchscreen unlikely but easy to check
Maybe you've got an app that puts an overlay over everything. Such as a screen dimmer, or screen colour changer. Android has built in security to prevent overlays being able to press buttons.
You can actually turn that off in SuperSU somewhere, but that won't work for accessibility.
