Have you tired just installing the stock keyboard app?
Extract and copy the files into system/app and reboot.
SwiftKey keyboard is a lot better though, its a paid application but you can easily find the apk on google. The latest version is 4.2.1.202

Forgot to mention to change the permissions to rw-r-r-- for both files in the system/app folder if you haven't already.

Hi Herman,
I don't think it is Swype to be honest.
I have attached an image of the Galaxy S III with keyboard showing.
Cheers,

??
this seems to be just a themed default android 4 keyboard (layout is exactly the same)... thus, no real need for porting, is there?

You donĀ“t need to port sony walkman you can just copy the apk to system/app and set permision to rw-r-r then reboot device.
edit:i have it fully working on my device far back with custom icon
see screenshot

A request regarding this weather widget port
If it would be possible, please provide a port for this weather widget that will not require a rooted phone. I'm unfortunately very hesitant to root my phone with the red glaring bold letters mentioning the risk/s of doing so. I admit that I'm an absolute noob when it comes to rooting. I have a p5100 with 4.0.4 (which was installed through Odin). Thank you.

This space is reserved for the date. If it works well is because it is not a stock rom...

There should be a quite simple way. Install cm10, backup the app with titanium backup or another backup app, restore your aokp build and install it.

Thnaks, I beleve this could have worked too, I found the problem now though..
for anybody that cares:
There are two issues that can cause this problem:
1. First of all, if you have an equalizer preinstalled, you need to uninstall that one.
2. You need to change the permissions of the Apk file in your system folder to rw-r--r--
This way it worked for me....

I think this might be what you're looking for:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1355275
Note that the OP warns you to backup the system/app directory. This is probably the case because you're going to end up having two "DEFAULT INPUT" keyboards where the original one might be permanently lost.
In the thread you can also find other stock X8 apps if you're feeling sentimental
