Is there a Launcher like this that can work in our X8? I like its Dock bar. Thanks.

I guess you could put it in /system/etc/app

You have to use titanium backup for uninstall dsp manager.

HOW TO MAKE IT WORKING :
1:Install s-voice as a regular apk
2:install root explorer
3;Then go to system\build.prop
4: Change the ro.product.model and ro.product.device to GT-I9300
5:Then reboot the device.....the s-voice should be working
6:Should work on ics and jb
NOTE: i had tested in jellybean it's working fine for me

Im on cm10 and I just installed it as a regular apk without using root explorer. It works great so far
show me something worth my attention

Here's a silly question.. Is there any possible way to use S-Voice in GB? I know that it only works on ICS and JB, but just wondering..

If there's a jellybean emulator for gingerbread the maybe it is possible but still chances are extremely slim

Yeah it appears some Carrier branded roms have the Stock browser. I know O2 Ireland included it with their version.

I heard that before, many people have the stock browser too!!! I can't understand why. Sony decided to exclude it from many regions.

jb has chrome as stock from what I understand..
come across a snag, chrome is using the same name, so will need removing
I don't have root so can't test that.

Just re-name to browser.apk..? It's a zip file now.

Unfortunatelly it doesn't work! We need a nasty root access to do such things... so we gotta wait!

It was uploaded as an apk, so your browser has renamed it I guess.
So yup rename it to apk .

Sorted out the problem (was trying to do it in Windows, now I'm back on a proper OS it's fairly simple to fix )
so here's a working Browser. .
Works for me at least!
I think you'll also need to remove/rename BrowserProviderProxy.apk in system/app/

try removing data/app/chrome apk (in case you updated it)
and data/data/com.android.browser.provider
maybe even data/data/com.android.browser although that should get overwritten..
If not can you get me a logcat? it didn't even need a reboot here.

well, i have already removed chrome through titanium backup, so uninstalled, nothing to be done there
renamed both files you said, and then tried installing the APK which won't install ...
about logcat, need to search how to do that

Worked for me, cheers. I was crashing initially but a restart sorted it. Nice to have the proper browser back. Was missing Quick Controls.

[Q] [REQUEST] Samsung Stock Keyboard on CM10.1

Hi people, just enjoying as a happy kid the cm10.1 rom by maclaw really fast really cool and everything but there's one thing I miss about Samsung... the keyboard, just asking myself if has anybode ported it to cm10.1? or can anybody do that? Just searched some other posts but I didn't find anything, and if there isn't such thing or it is not possible ( :crying: ) which other good keyboard would you recommend me people? Thanks in advance!

Have you tired just installing the stock keyboard app?
Extract and copy the files into system/app and reboot.
SwiftKey keyboard is a lot better though, its a paid application but you can easily find the apk on google. The latest version is 4.2.1.202

Forgot to mention to change the permissions to rw-r-r-- for both files in the system/app folder if you haven't already.

Hello, my Xperia V's just rolled to Android 4.3 and I'm not really happy with this update!
The main problem's the white background in tool menu, really annoying!
I'd like to have it black like it was in Android 4.1.2 but I'm not into modding or apk and so I can't do it alone
Consider that my phone's unrooted...

Unfortunately I didn't find a black background working theme...
I'll try to make my own theme even if it's quite hard for me (never made one before!)

This has something to do with frameworks. I had been theming my phone since 4.1 and that wat not a problem but when honami came out the background for tools menu has something to do with frameworks. You'll need to have someone create a theme for you that would change the .png for that.

as ur device is not rooted, do me a favor ?
download this dual recovery installer for windows and install it in ur 4.3 stock rom

if the recovery is successfully installed, flash the SU zip and check if ur device is rooted or not.
i cant find my free time to test my own. try it n let us know if 4.3 will be rooted with locked BL

This has not been perfected yet since the text are still gray.
This is originally steveboss Theme. All credits goes to him.
What I did was to change the .png.
Here is the link:

How to add it:
1. Download the theme.
2. If your using this ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2651397).
Please do the following:
- Open root explorer
- go to system/app
- look for the same name of the theme and rename it.
- paste the downloaded theme and set permission.
- Delete the original theme that you renamed.
- Reboot device and go to themes and select the theme.
3. If your using the stock rooted 4.3 ROM
Please do the following:
- Open root explorer
- go to system/app
- paste the downloaded theme and set permission.
- Reboot device and go to themes and select the theme.
