Please help if you can. I downloaded the 4.3 update that was released for tmobile yesterday and pressed install. So the phone turned off and started the update then i got that red triangle with an exclamation point over the phone. Ever since then when i turn it on, it just stays on the HTC logo startup picture. My phone was completely stock and never messed with. PLease help if you can.
You can try to do a factory reset, but you will lose you sdcard...
Oh yeah and i did a factory reset. It does the same thing with the red triangle. I called tmobile and they are gonna send me a new one but it is gonna take about a month.
Umh, strange issue...
And bad assistance from tmob...

Ok so yesterday I had a lockup and the phone would not reboot. I kept trying to get it to turn on with consisted of powering up the phone getting lockedup/stuck on the motorola M logo for many min's then would pull the battery and try again. After about 8 try's it booted up and worked..
Then last night locked-up again and now it will not get past the M.. I tryed a hold x with power and wipe data and foctory reset. it seems to work but does say e:can't open /cache/recovery/command and then says abunch of stuff looks like it's working. BUT still will not load past the M logo
Is my phone dead is there a way to recover from this ? can I just load a NEW OS somehow ?
Already talked to verizon and there going to send me a new phone but will not be getting it till monday or tuesday and I really need a working phone for the weekend..
HELP !
That sounds like a hardware or firmware issue. Unfortunately, you need to just wait for your new phone. You don't want to risk loading an SBF file onto your Droid while it isn't functioning correctly. Even if you are successful - it more than likely will not fix your issue.
Hate to say it, but... just wait it out.

Hi everyone, I earlier today tried to upgrade the official firmware on my Galaxy S though Keiss and it seemed to go well, it said that when the phone finishes rebooting the upgrade will be successful but the phone never did finish rebooting, all it does now is show the S logo for a minute or 2 then the screen goes blank and every 30 seconds or so it vibrates.
Unfortunately my phone is one of the ones that does not have the 3 button recovery option and Keiss no longer recognises the phone so I haven't got a clue what to do to sort out this mess..
Please please please help me.......
Thanks,
Gareth
Yea.
Can you get in root menu. Search in the forums for bricked phone fixes
I hope you find a solution for it.
If not well just send it back to the shop and tell about it. DOnt worry,
Its not your fault since its official update

Im posting here because I am not sure this is phone specific issue, but if you guys could help me that would be great.
Long story short i screwed up my phone, cant recover with rsd so used fastboot...blah blah blah Its up and running except one thing.
WHen the phone boots I see the motorola Logo....but thats it, I hear the droid doing the weird machine startup,,,i plug the phone in to the computer and it recognizes it, i even called from another phone and it rings...
I just cant see anything it black, I also get haptic feedback on the buttons.
I fxz'd with the latest update from verizon...I boot into recovery and i see the little android man, i Islo see the white letters on bootloader, its just when the rom actually loads its a black screen?
If anybody could help i would appreciate it.
Phone is a bionic
Reinstall your android. Your os must hav corrupted. Flash it again.
i have re-installed over 20 times, i think maybe the phone is done??? i accidentally tried flashing a GB fxz before the JB one.....the phone s running but soon as the bootanimation starts for the phone i get nothing on the screen only sound.

from my understanding once you go to JB there is no going back.. Were you getting any errors when you fxz? mine would get an error at step 5 and stop. their was a separate image file for that error which I used and it worked fine. It's on the page. I have bricked mine 3 or 4 times and it always came back to life. I really like this phone. wish it wasn't nearing the end of it's life for support. Times I thought mine was a gonner but it always came back. try redownloading the fxz file.
Oh my goodness, I have just bought this WWE asia HTC One phone two days ago and I received an update to 4.2.2. My phone is not even rooted nor bootloader unlocked.
I downloaded the OTA update and when I try to update at the second restart, the screen shows a red exclamation mark.
I read online and realised it might be a corrupted download so I decided to re download. I re applied the update and I still get the red exclamation mark.
Please advise what I should do in order to update to 4.2.2 since HTC is providing an update which cannot even be applied.
The easiest way would be to factory reset and then retry. This is also what HTC support will probably tell you.
On the other side, it requires you to backup everything and start all from fresh.
You can try getting into the recovery by intention (restart then hold vol-down) and choose to clear cache. It might help!
so i took a 2nd attempt to flash another rom using a different recovery as recommended and i messed something up real bad and i have no clue what i did wrong nor have i ever had this happen. i changed from twrp to reg old cwm recovery and now my vivid boots up and turns off, boots back up and stays on the white htc screen. i tried flashing different kernals and now i cant even get into cwm. as it boots into recovery, it blinks as i can see one line of text and barely any of the logo its so quick.
so how the hell do i fix this? ill unroot my phone and factory reset it back to non rooted status.
anyone know how can avoid this?
oh and im s on.
i believe htc has software that resets your phone. anyone care to share a direct link? i had it before and i cant find it. i want to unroot my phone anyway cause battery life sucks, even setcpu does nothing and i just a BRAND NEW OEM htc battery and still drains like counting down seconds.
thanks
