Hi,
is it possible to use Capactive Buttons like Notification Led?
(is a good question?)

Actually thats a nice idea. Does anyone know if there is such an app for that?

SGS has this kind of app, shouldn't be hard to make one for O2X

the most better is if LG made that in the Optimus 2X natively

Also the buttons could show us if the phone is charging....would be really cool

You know NoLed for Galaxy S?
Did it work on noAmoled Screen?

NoLED would be useless on an LCD screen : it would probably work, but drain all the battery in a few hours, since LCD screens draw the same amount of power no matter what is being displayed (whereas amoled screens don't use any power when displaying black areas).
Using the buttons is a great idea though !

Check battery use with this app. On LG2x it will kill your battery very quickly...

camera resolution

hi guys. since i flashed my x8 with GingerDX i cannot find the option to change the camera resolution.....is that normal??

I've just checked and I have that option (GDX.019). Which version have you flashed?

im on GDX.018 at the moment. i couldt see the option in GDX.017 ether. my be im not looking in the write place..lol

Go to camera app and press screen. You'll notice little button with icon same as Settings.app press it and it will open a popup window. Scroll down and you will see Picture Size option and choose what you need. Hope I helped.

I think 3 means 3.2 here. Did you check the dimensions of the photos?

Its 2048x1536 pixels which is 3.2 Mpx (acctualy 3.14 Mpx ).

I am using this one by ticklizard. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41005649 I get great battery life. Remember it also depends on the rom.

if you don't have nova launcher premium, you can use Apex launcher which supports double tap gesture in free version

However, I have assigned the Screen Off app to Swipe Down gesture of the Nova launcher.
Yes, its sad that we have no way to Switch On with any gesture as it needs hardware interaction. But, still, I have tried some solutions, which included Proximity Sensor of the Phone, and they were just amazing

i use slimbean
and with volume wake and this lock trick, i don't touch my lock button at all ^^
only when i need to shut down my phone

that would be perfect, i hope that the update will come soon, since it has been some time since any of main kernels got official update from devs itself ^^

i only hope that that will not lead to big battery consumption :fingers-crossed:

Touchscreen has to stay awake. So yes it will drain some small amount more. But you can always disable it if you dont like/need it.

Actually, if you move your wrist up in vertical motion while rotating the clock, it works almost 100% of the time.

I have switched of my (accelerometer) screen and set screen on time to 5 minutes then just press power button for time that's the way I like it and I am unanimous on that
