Disable accelerometer wakeup - Samsung Galaxy Gear

Any way to do this? It doesn't work very well and it's probably just draining the battery.

Actually, if you move your wrist up in vertical motion while rotating the clock, it works almost 100% of the time.

I have switched of my (accelerometer) screen and set screen on time to 5 minutes then just press power button for time that's the way I like it and I am unanimous on that

Thanks for the vertical motion tip. Works every time that way.

Auto dimming issue.

So my one has this annoying issue. Every time I rotate it into landscape it auto dims to around 50%. Anyone have any ideas it's really agitating me.

When you rotate your phone you might be covering the light sensor with your thumb or palm while holding it.trying setting screen brightness to a value instead of auto and check if the screen still gets dim. If yes it might be a hardware issue

is your thumb covering the light sensor when you rotate? (the two black dots in the top left corner in portrait mode)
sometimes even if covered for a split second it will cause a dim condition
Come on guys, give me a bit more credit than that lol. No I was not covering it. Oddly enough it's only doing it either in the car dock or just coming out of the car dock. Hasn't done it since then. Will retest it when i get off work.

Multitouch mod?

Is there a mod to enable more than two points of contact on this phone?
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
Why?
Gaming. Had this problem on the photon back in the day. Only enabled two touch points and that caused an issue in some games. For instance when playing super Mario 64 you can't hold up to run, couch and jump. Not able to press all three on screen buttons at the same time

Ahhh makes sense. It's weird because running the multitouch test app it only shows 2 points. But when you enable "show touches" in developer options it will register all the points you're touching on the screen. Weirddddd

Ummm, I have 10-point touch. What are you doing to only get 2?
Wait, is "HTC Gesture" turned on?. if so, turn that off.

^^^ This. It specifically says disabling HTC gestures will allow normal multi touch operation.

Screen randomly getting dim

I have auto brightness off, auto adjust screen tone off and brightness set to max. My screen randomly dims and then gets bright again...anyone know what's causing this?
sEnt from thE noTe 3
Hmm is it this adapt display option maybe?
sEnt from thE noTe 3
Same here then I went into my settings to check the brightness (settings, display, brightness) and it said brightness decreased to prevent over heating or something like that ..check it next time you notice it dimming and see if it's the same thing ..pretty annoying
Sent from my SM-N900T using xda app-developers app
power saver uses the dimming option for low consumption of battery and make sure auto adjust is off in display settings

Sent from my SM-N900T using xda app-developers app
I've had this happened to me also.
It seems to be more frequent when I'm using Chrome ( not stock browser ). It suddenly gets dim and then may or may not eventually brighten up again, it's pretty random
Also happens when I'm on the launcher but not as frequent
- Automatic Brightness / Off
- Screen Mode / Professional Photo
- Power saving mode / Off
- Auto adjust screen tone / Off
Is there something else I may be missing?
It happens to me while using the xda app. Annoying as hell. It has the same message as Melissa

Does anyone know if this processor does thermal throttling? That could possibly trigger a power save dim with overheating. If we get root this can be disabled using trickster mod.

Thought this was an issue with my phone when I got it from AT&T yesterday. Glad to know it isn't just me. It seems to only have the issue when I am in a low-lite area (at least on mine) but when I am in an area with good lighting and the back light is 75% or more it doesn't dim nearly as much. Would be interested to see what a fix would be for this.

So I've been having this issue and noticed it like two days ago, and reading all your responses I looked through and noticed I had one of the features that I thought I turned off. Smart Stay says that it starts to turn the screen off when we look away maybe it's a buggy feature (one I never intended to use but it might be the one doing this dimming thing (being one of the first steps to turn off the screen)

display battery percent..what? where?

In the settings under display tab.
It says
Battery Per... (which I have checked)
But where the hell does it display how much battery is left. Except settings/ battery?

You can use the Watch Styler app to create a default watch face that shows the battery level.
I just install a battery monitor widget.

Are you tapping twice with two fingers at the same time? It is not a one finger "double tap", but two together.
If you pay for the app.

pocket vibration

When i put xperia Z in my pocket it vibrates when i bend or touch my trousers. Every time the phone is either squeezed or touched from outside, it seem to vibrate. Is this normal? is there a way to turn this off? or is it a bug?

Are your sure it is vibrating? Or isn't it just an impression you're getting? Does it happen out of the pocket?
I thought the same thing but it's not vibrating, it squeeks in your pocket because of it's glass surface

its definitely vibrating..my kids have noticed it last night in the couch. i was lying down and it started vibrating and they said i have a phone call when there was no call. I can easily test it even now by pressing my trouser pocket and it vibrates.
It doesn't do it when the phone is outside my pocker.

I don't know. As soon as I got the phone I updated it to 4.3.

I expect this might just be the phone entering the desktop lockscreen config mode, like when you just hold your finger on the desktop.
you may try to turn the screen off before you put it in pocket.
