[Q] HDMI/Ext monitor help needed

I need some help getting the screen to work as I need it.
I bought a 7" HDMI monitor to use with my Bionic. When I plug it in, it works but the phone is in the middle of the screen, which is in landscape mode but the phone is in portrait mode (see Pic-1). This is useless to me for my application.
Is there any way I can force the HDMI output into portrait mode so it looks like my cell phone (see Pic-2)? I did call the manufacture and they said I need to make the changes in the phone's video driver. When I rotate the phone from portrait mode to landscape mode the HDMI monitor shows the phone's image like I want it for just a second (see Pic-2) then goes into landscape mode (see Pic-3).
The problem with landscape mode is that many apps force the screen back into portrait mode. Navigation is one app that I need to be in landscape mode but it switches back to portrait mode.
This would be worth a few bucks to me to get it done.
[to be clear, Pic-1 is how it is now, Pic-3 is how it looks when the phone is in landscape mode. When navigation is on, the screen goes back to Pic-1 style. Pic-2 is what I want the external monitor to look like when the phone is in portrait (normal) mode.]

New Night Mode Camera Question

I am planning to get a new S10 soon. With the new dedicate night mode update, I have a few questions:
1. Is it possible to use Night mode in bright condition(like during a sunny day)? This because night mode in the Pixel phone provide better quality even in bright condition.
2. Is it possible to force Night mode to use the telephoto camera.
3. Is it possible to force Night mode to use the ultra wide angle camera
Thanks!
1. Yes
2. No
3. Yes
Except there is no forcing anything as you just selection the options normally on the camera app interface
Also this is a thread for the Q&A section.
2 is apperently in the works as well for ultra wide angle

2 is referring to the 2x optical zoom lens. Night mode already works with the Ultra wide lens.
Can I also ask if the night mode is actually useable? IE does not require super steady hands or long exposure times? For example with the Ultra wide which has a smaller aperture.
What kind of exposure times are usually applied in the dark? I'm talking about in the outdoors, some street lights, artificial lighting etc.
more than usable

Night mode doesn't need super steady hands. A normal non-shaky hand is enough to get an excellent photograph.
Exposure is based on the lighting available. For me, outdoors with street lighting shot has always been around 1/6 th of a second. Again this always depends on the light available for the sensor you are using.

January update Ultra Macro Mode

The Ultra Macro mode does not seem to work on latest update a.08.
On previous update you would hold the yellow Ultra Macro text to bring up the zoom.
This does not appear to work anymore.
Anyone else notice this ?
Edit: Never mind, seems I was using Ultra Macro Mode wrong and there is no zoom in this mode
