[Q] Poor Reception post REV HD 13.3 update - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Morning All
I have recently update to rooted device and followed with Revolution HD 13.3 ROM.
Post update I have noticed that I have very poor reception on 4G (LTE), have I NOT done something I should have
or vice versa. Not sure where to go from here. Also post airplane mode being switched off (so I have call ability again) I can't make calls.
Any help greatly appreciated
HTC One M7
Australia network: TELSTRA
HBOOT- 1.44.0000
Radio: 4A.14.3250.13

Try re-installing the rom
and then look in *#*#4636#*#*
phoen info - then the only drop down box and ensure it has correctly selected your network option
Did you flash a new radio as well?

Yup updated to latest firmware and radio today.
Noob comment here I go...... It's on WCDMA preferred.
Is that correct ???

WCDMA preferred is 3G
change it to one of the LTE options as if it's still no good try all of them - one will be the correct one -assuming that your network does support lte?

Reflash baseband?

Tried that from the guide and files fund http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1008070
Reflashing full rom trough nvflash
Trying now, will check back after...
Did not work for me, however i made a discovery.
There is now two mode's for my network, GSM and WCDMA
and here in europe we usually use GSM/UTMS is there a UTMS radio out there ?
If i set the phone in GSM only it works.
EDIT: It did not acctually worked, just gives me signal strenght, dailout and sms still not work.

I believe UMTS is the common name for WCMDA.
oh, ok.
i still cant figger out why i cant flash my god dam radio.
So i guess ill just have to nvflash it back to stock a cupple of times and try to blame it on the "OTA"

[Q] Tried everything to get 3g working on Revolution HD

Hi,
Does someone now if there is a bug in Revolution HD 2.1.3 that causes 3G not to work on a Incredible S with Telfort (Dutch) provider?
I searched for hours to fix this problem, but with no result. I filled in the APN (with varies of settings, because I see different settings on internet). Flashed another radio, did some reboots.
And data roaming is on...
Maybe the radio version is still wrong??
Kernel version: 2.6.35.14-RCMIX-VIVO-gf17016b
Baseband version: 20.4802.30.0822U_3822.10.08.28_M
Build number: 3.08.405.3 CL197817
Many thanks!
Maarten
Both 3G and HSPDA worked absolutely fine for me using Android Rev HD. Go to settings>wireless and networks>mobile networks>network mode and change it to GSM only and see if that helps.

Nope, that doesn't work... I read some treads about this problem (with other custom ROMS) and it seems that it depends on your provider/country.
Problem solved
Well, I called with my provider about the absence of 3G, because on an other -not rooted- phone it didn't work either. And they did a mobile internet reset and now it works again!

[Q] Option for LTE is gone after flashing firmware and installing HD Revolution 11.5

Hi,
As stated in the topic, i have a HTC One (International version) that has been running HD Revolution 11. Today I upgraded the firmware on it, and installed HD Revolution 11.5, and now it seems that it no longer have LTE support.
When i go into the settings and try to enable it, i have longer have any LTE option, just WCDMA, GSM or GSM / WCDMA auto.
Is this HD Revolution 11.5 that is doing it, or have the firmware upgrade messed it up?
Seems like its the rom and not firmware causing this since *#*#INFO#*#* gives me the option to enable LTE, its just not showing as an option in the settings menu.

11.5 is based on the Taiwanese 4.2.2 release for the M7_U model which does not have LTE capability and thus the reason why you can't access LTE in settings.
You have found the solution to re-enable so you should be good but note every time you try to access in settings LTE will be disabled again.
This is temporary and will be resolved when the WWE 4.2.2 build appears.

HTC ONE HTL22 Radio Problem

I have a HTC J ONE HTL22 and a few days ago I lost my network signal completely. Contacted my network provider everything was good, bought a new sim tried that and still no network. The day I lost it I went into the service menu #*#*4636*#*# and into Phone Information and was just trying some different network settings. I clicked select radio band...and I saw Euro Band,Japan Band,US Band ,AUS Band ,AUS2 Band. I tried US Band to see the result and than i lost that menu ,now I only see Automatic, Cellular(800-MHz Band) and PCS(1900-MHz Band). When I try Automatic it says Unsuccessful. The other 2 successfully work but don't give me my network back? I've done a factory reset and still nothing changes. When I manually search for a network,it comes up blank. before it showed Bell,Telus,Rogers etc. So it's defiantly something with my radio.
My cell is UNLOCKED, S-OFF, CID-11111111, HBOOT-1.54.0000, RADIO-1.23.11.0829 and CWM installed, running stock 4.2.2. So I'm wondering is there a way to reset my radio or any help on flashing a new radio? Thanks

This might be of a bit more value. It seems the prior link was for a different HTC One model. Above link is for M7. Check it out if you still need a radio/baseband.
I also realized your phone is a Japanese variant...I dont know if that makes a difference or not in compatibility, but I wanted to mention you could try using ADB to flash the radio/baseband instead of using recovery. I think you could also upgrade your firmware, which usually includes the baseband. Good luck...
Thanks for reply
Nothing help
flash radio through fasboot and TWRP does not matter
Same here...still no luck yet. Still have no network. Makes no sense why the radio bands cant be restored!?

Hello,
Did you got it working ?
Many people in Austria have since mid of July problems with the Droid 4 GSM.
I used the Original JB ROM with Mentor, but since mid of July it didnt found any GSM signal anymore.
Now I have installed CM11, GSM and Internet works,
but the GSM works only with 2G and the Internet only with EDGE mode anymore.
Did you found maybe already a solution to get it fully working again ?
We cant find any solution...if you know something, let me know please.
regards
I can try to helping you but you should answer to these questions:
Did you do some change before to not having anymore gsm signal?
What is your stock rom version?
With the original stock rom without any modification what is the situation?
Could you try the original stock rom without my gsm rom but with my latest gsm patch?

@Mentor.37
i did not any changes - it didnt worked anymore from one minute to the other
i used the Original JB ROM with the Mentor ROM (i cant remember the exactly ROM Version, but it was the official Stock from Verizon/Motorola)
With the original Stock ROM i dont get any connection (no telephony and no internet) - also not any 2G connection...
With the Original Stock ROM and Mentor ROM its the same....no connection (no telephony and no internet).
I flashed CM11 and there i got a connection, but the connection is only 2G (telephony and the internet works only with 2G mode) - no 3G mode.
I also flashed the "Original Motorola Image" back, but there i didnt got also any connection
I used some "Moto XT894 Utility" which i found here in the forum - but always the same - no connection. The "Moto XT894 Utility" contained the Original JB ROM.
@magikstar which Tool you exactly used for flashing back the Original Image ? Can you send me maybe the download links ?
Maybe you have used another tool for flashing back than i.
As Provider i use: A1 (Telekom Austria)
many other people in Austria have the same problem....
@lzmichael
My provider is YESS!!, which belongs to A1 and therefore I'm in the A1 network too. Seems like an A1 issue, because a friend of mine (he has a droid4 too) has Drei, and does not have a problem with 3G.

You could try installing the stock 18-9 version, if i'm not in error in it there has been some little update in the radio for gsm users in the canada and that could help every gsm user.

I dont have installed a GSM Patch (i never had that installed before), but i can try.
Today i have installed:
VRZ_XT894_9.8.2O-72_VZW-18-8_CFC.xml.zip
and the MentorRom (Version from March 2014).
With that i have 2G connection. 3G didnt work.
The same problem was with the CM11 - only 2G worked
Where i can get the 18.9 Version from the Stock-ROM?
If you are using my rom you do not have to install the gsm patch but if you are using any other aosp rom you have to install my gsm patch.
Now for testing you can try installing my latest gsm patch, in it i made some change that i have not yet merged in my gsm rom, if no luck you can try updating to 18-9 in this way:
- install the 18-2 version, here the download
- from ota you should update to 18-9
- now you can try the stock rom without any mod and with my patch
if these things will not help we will try in another way.

I have installed now the latest GSM Patch (v3.2.2), but it still doesnt work with 3G mode (no internet connection and no telephony with 3G)
...if i switch to 2G it works
(for example: with a Drei Austria sim card the phone works fine - and with T-Mobile Austria is the same problem as with A1).
I will try to install that 18-2 Update later, when i have a fast WLAN connection to get the OTA update (to 18-9) quickly...

im wondering that that problem only appears in austria. since mid of july...much people have problems
There is something that your provider changed and that that caused this, I hope that we will solve the problem but with our locked bootloader this will be really hard.
Have you tried contacting your providers to knowing what's happening?
Anyway if after updating to 18-9 the problem will be yet present you can attach here your logcats when you are in 3g with no service.

Yes, i have contacted the provider in July and have asked what i can do. i have then asked if they had changed something - like APNs or so, and the provider said, that they didnt changed anything. they replaced then my simcard - they thought maybe is the simcard defect, but the simcard was ok, anyway i have now a new simcard.
but the phone-support from the provider didnt know if something "internal" got changed at the provider...thats what i think.
After flashing the stockrom (with mentor addon), i got a 3G signal for 30-50 seconds, then the signal was away.
the same thing was end of july, after flashing the stockrom (there i had some older version flashed), i got a 3G signal for few seconds - then never again.
no 3G signal after rebooting and so again - it worked only short after installing the new rom.
How its possible to get that "logcats" ? I never did that before. In which directory or so on the phone are the logs ?.
Pretty interesting the output of the log.
I'm writing from my droid so a full log may be diffult now.
08-11 07:57:11.326 D/MobileDataStateTracker(237): cbs: Broadcast received: android.intent.action.ANY_DATA_STATE apnType=cbs

08-11 07:57:11.396 D/Nat464Xlat(237): requiresClat: netType=0, hasIPv4Address=true
After the last line appears, the cell connection drops.
When i am on gsm only, netType equals to 5.

I cleared the log before I captured the radio log. At the beginning I had an established 2G (GSM only) connection. Then I switched to "GSM auto(PRL)" - the connection dropped and finally I went back to "GSM only" again. Just fyi what I was doing when the log was captured.
