Hey guys,
As you know it's nearly impossible to upload apps to Chinese app stores without being a Chinese citizen,
Therefore, my question is, do you know at least few sites that can be uploaded without asking from a local to do so?
second question is about Asian app stores, Can someone suggest a nice Indian\South Korean\Thai\Japanese etc. app store that can be easily uploaded using some Google translate or something, I've tried to search them, but unfortunately didn't found any good.
Thank you !
Do not know

Hi,
You can try T-Store (Korean) but don't expect too many sales (unless you have more luck than me).
Also their developer console is incredibly slow...
Thank you, I will try it
Thanks for info!

I know a ton of people check this subforum for new application releases from the big companies and I didn't see this mentioned.

Thanks for posting this!
As I always do with big companies like this, I checked Amazon's website to see if they truly had released an app and someone wasn't just playing with us in a phishing scam. It's legit, it's real, and here's the link:
Amazon's Press Release
I'm not a huge Amazon user, but I do shop there from time to time. This is really a great way to reach customers. Kudos to Amazon!
Now if they could just make a Kindle reader for Android...

Could you (or anyone else for that matter) please post the apk file?
I've just searched for it here in the spanish android market and can't find it.
I use to buy stuff from Amazon and an app like this would be great.

It's a tool some italian guys developed before Google opened the Italian market for paid apps so they could buy in the US one.
Besides allowing that, it comes with an added benefit and it's that it allows getting any app from the US market, even if it isn't available for the UK, Spanish or any other market.
The app requires root, but that I suppose won't be a problem for any xda user. You can get it here
Amazon.com app
Just found out about this app and it sounds really interesting. Only issue is it's not available on the market in the UK (at least... I assume it isn't. I can't find it...)
Would someone be able to upload the apk? It's a free app so I'm not stealing it or anything
And I understand it probably only searches amazon.com, but I'm really not that bothered about that
There's already discussion on this. It was the third result when I searched: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544239

I was wondering if there are any apps like "cydia" or "install0us" on the iPhone or even like "OMarket" on windows mobile?
Nope... no alternative markets AT ALL for Android. Not sure where you'd get that idea.
unlike the iphone or win-mo, its easier for devs to submit apps to the android store... so there's not need for an alternate store

Lol...except there IS an alternate store. SlideMe is available... My original post was only because the guy asked a question that could easily have been answered by searching.
apktor. i just use appbrain

apktor ftw
thanks for the real responses, very helpful...
uansari1 there is no need for your response, it could have been omitted...if you wanted to emphasize that I should have just searched (which I did) then you could have said so without giving a smart *** response which leads to nothing productive and just an up in your post count (maybe thats what you want? ) honestly...what do you get out of your initial response ? nothing...what -maybe a laugh? (a mild chuckle at that ?) haha seriously...I hate when people post these condescending/ lame responses...but I understand if someone is trying to say just search or something, should have avoided your response and just said your intended message directly
any ways- thanks for ALL responses...I appreciate your feedback/ advices...
Hi there,
can anyone share these two apps here for those of us that have non-USA unlocked devices, please?
Thanks in advance!
Yes, I do not understand why these apps are not available outside the US. What a shame....
This kind of apps shall be available worldwide.
Come on, how come no one takes the time to share these two apps?
Meanwhile, here you have the VEVO app for those outside US, Canada an the UK (attached to this post). I have it installed on my European Omnia 7 and it's working fine.
Share the love guys!

This isn't just about the US, I'm French but some French apps aren't available to me in the UK like LePoint.fr or RTL Football. It's a shame the marketplace isn't universal.

Hello everyone,
I just made an online petition to obtain ICS for our device. I know someone can say we only want last release of an operating system and such. In my opinion, that's false. We want something we paid for. I gave LG my trust and they disappointed me. Please, sign the petition, if you share my thoughts, or at least give it a read.

Why dont you just file a complaint directly to the your country's consumer protection agency?

Mainly for two reasons, mate:
- I have many friends with LG2x and they can't flash, for a million of reasons, they are afraid of bricks, afraid of not finiding confortable with custom roms, bugs, etc... and I, as CM user, think that we should all get updates, for the money we spent in the phone and the disappointing feeling. We use CM, but it's bad LG just discontinued her flagship phone.
- It's not only Italy's problem: if it were just Italy, I would have worked on other releases and made it available as custom rom, as every other person on this forum would do, but it's a common problem, and I thought we need a common solution.
Thanks for your reply, if I sounded rude, please forgive me, it's only difficult to explain such things in a foreign language.

no, its fine. I did sign the petition before replying to the thread. The consumer protection agency one was just a suggestion. I am in Maldives and we dont have an LG office/branch here, therefor we cannot do anything against them.
lets first see we can get gingerbread
they promise it on the (netherlands-belgium) website
they say "always updated to the latest version of android with one click on the button"

For what I could understand, smaller offices, like italians just works as test units, so it would be a waste of time to keep in touch with them...

nice try, but no one will give a f*-ck about it !
as for other android phones : you get the version installed & 1 update ...
so ... froyo + GB , that´s it. then our phone is outdated.
companies want to make money & sell new phones, so that´s their policy ...
i can sign your petition if you like, but it will change nothing ...
sorry, but that´s the truth
but at least we have official CM support, so when ICS SDK is available, we will get it from this source
Even the gb leaks are based on froyo kernels. Face it we are never going to get gingerbread let alone ICS because LG simply can't do it. (I blame nvidia aswell btw but thats a whole different story)

i am attaching the app here...
thanks and regards,

P.S. Happy New Year as well..

Hi Rohit,
Just so you know I have the same problem. I had a friend buy me the Meizu H1 Smartband straight from China. I scanned the QR code with my phone and downloaded the app which is completely in Chinese. To register, it appears like you need to use a Chinese phone number.
I signed up using my WeChat ID (which was also a pain btw) and set up my Smartband, synchronised it and all. The whole app is in Chinese with no possibility to translate to English. I got my Chinese friend to help me understand what means what. I guess it's a good excuse to learn some basic Mandarin for me

Thanks for the quick response rohit21.
I installed the application that you share before (v.apk) but I am not able to do the loging using wchat. I do not know if it is a problem of the application. However the last version of the application (v1.0.38) works fine for me but it is only available on Chinese. Did you translate the last version (V1.0.38)? Could you share it?

Hi.. Did you get any English app or no, I just got my band and I'm lost on how to register and sync it.. Can you please help.
Hi,
Your link doesn't work but I found an other link with the application partially translated :
www dropbox.com/s/llelacf3fyxwvyd/meizuh1.apk?dl=0
If someone has the courage to continue the translation.
Would be translating the app again when we get a new version... V1.0.38 the current one.. is a buggy release.. it keeps resetting my progress and doesn't sync correctly as well...
Till that time... I do apologise for the trouble
Don't be sorry. I didn't know that. Thanks for your job !
it would be so great if you could continue with the translation
V.apk
hi,
it does not work.
