Omni is a great new ROM that actually has it's own section of xda fora. http://forum.xda-developers.com/omni
It had a big announcement at BABBQ and the Portal later covered it. http://www.xda-developers.com/android/from-the-bbq-omnirom/

Edit...just attempted to flash and it failed right away. Downloading again to see if it was just a bad download. Can someone else please provide feedback

Up until just moments ago, that did happen; however, there is a new build which should fix that issue. It was the updater_script failing due to a script missing. That has since been fixed, and it should flash now with no issue at all.

No. Omni views all third-party firmware as a part of the same community and is not meant to be a replacement, simply another member of the greater ROM community.

Yes, as with all source-built AOSP ROMs, this will require flashing the 4.3 Gapps.

Known issues:
1) You will get a Status 7 error when flashing. It should reboot and be fine. It is caused due to an updater-script for CM that we are using that has features AOKP does not utilize. It will be fixed in later builds.

if its anything like the CM10 roms, you may need to give it a little time to settle. laggyness will remain, but it does get better. i haven't tried yet (just downloaded), but you might also try a JB devil kernel. battery life is nothing to write home about, but it's pretty smooth and might work with this. no idea really...

Im pretty sure you need to use JB gapps. Go to the link that sixstringsg posted (the androtransfer one) and at the top there should be a bunch of dev names. One should say gapps. Click gapps and it should list a whole bunch of different gapps for different android os's. Click the JB one.

He just needs to create a new thread. He did what CM did, he started building CM 10.1 releases and stopped developing CM 10 abruptly. His OP is just out of date.
A Mod needs to step into his thread and just state that, IMO.

That +100. Once the initial rom is done, alls necessary is do the same exact things for the other phones.
To Eveyrone
If some of ya'll had any idea how easy it is to do we'd have a lot more roms available. For most roms, all ya gotta do is add in the Dev Team's CM repos, maybe tweak a few makefiles in device or device-common (just reference the SGS3), go to vendor/whatever, copy the SGS3 files and reword them for us, add us to the vendor/whatever lunch script....that's it. That's how almost all of us are doing the custom roms. I suggest the SGS3 because it has the same board as us (msm8960) and you want to reference a device as close to us as possible. What's cool is the X is supposed to have the msm8960 as well as being the same resolution as us....X better ship with a 4.3+ kernel that Hashcode, Epinter, Dhacker, and the gang can use.
Cool.. Any screenshots of this ROM? People who have flashed how is the battery life?? Thanks a lot for the ROM dude..

I'm having some trouble getting Gapps to run on this ROM. I'm using the 7.8 version, and the Gapps from Slimroms for version 7.x. In particular, the Play Store keeps saying that there's no connection, even when there is - I can use the browser.

Man, look at you causing trouble with all these roms!!! Keep it up! Thanks for the Rom, I'll test it out as well.
Installing!!!!!!!
I have to admit even though is not the type of ROM I like but man this rom is freaking smooooth. If users looking for smoothness and responsiveness on a ROM to be use as a daily drive then look no more as this ROM is amazing and very responsive.
Thanks for sharing
Downloading and installing. Thanks!
Edit: Here are my first impressions.
Clean. This ROM looks nice, it simply looks clean.
Smooth. I haven't tested high performance apps, but it is smooth.
It does have some features that other ROMs have, they are in an option called ROM Center. I haven't noticed anything out of ordinary, but everything works fine.
The only issue that I see is that the Recents RAM bar doesn't show the correct info, but I don't use it anyway.
Overall, this ROM is great. I will be using this as a daily driver.
Thanks, devs!
Thanks, man. Awesome ROM. I have not had 1 thing not work. Everything's gravy here.

I have 2 questions.
1. Is there any way to add the extended volume options?
2. What the hell is swagger? lol.
Extended volume is been worked on by the AOKP team please use mgerrit app and you will see is under review and not yet merged. And swagger toggle http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1693337 lol

Great, I didn't checked mgerrit before. When the feature is ready, will we need to flash the new ROM? Or will be it available as an add-on? I can't find the Update option. Thanks!
I will do a new build so you will just flash new build. I could add that feature my self and halo etc but I want a pure AOKP I guess you can say that.

LMAO is a joke you just fell on it. lol
Happy Swagging. !!!!!!!!!!!
This ROM flies! I've had devices in the past where AOKP was not the smoothest and had way too many customizations. This, however, is fantastic!

Bro but this is not a ROM. Is a KK ROM with L apps. We all can do this alone. Try to edit framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk like Android L.

exactly
It's just for the lazy people who would rather just flash a whole ROM rather than just install all of the apps. Some people would rather just doing that. If you don't like it, then don't use it. And it IS a ROM, I never said it was actually Android L. Read before you criticize things.
@iblakejames
I think some people misunderstand about this brother. So don't take too serious, as you know they clearly missing something.
Let's start with your definition about android L 5.0 SDV, your aim/purpose/goal developing this, feature in this rom etc.
I still confuse about rom based too. Title said it's omni based, but in the description it's paranoid android based..

Hi,
Just to let you know that contributions from members are always appreciated here. Also, I agree with you, many people will want a small "taste" of the new Android L and either won't know how to do this, or as you said, will be too lazy to do it.
However, IMO, I think this should have been posted in the general forum for the following reasons.
You didn't actually develop a rom, it appears that you are adding apps and probably sounds from Android L to an existing rom. Also, in your OP, the heading states based on Omni rom and down below, it states PA. Which one is it?
Regardless of which rom it's based on, you need to give credit to its developer(s) and or its maintainer(s). It's possible that you may also have to ask permission to use it.
You posted this on June 28th and as yet there is nothing to download. XDA rules don't allow placeholder/announcement threads in the dev section. Again, another reason to post this in the general forums.
Anyway, good luck with your project, as I'm sure there will be people that will use it.
Thanks,
Mike T

Maybe you understood wrong. I'm not criticize your work. I'm just telling you that this is a ROM ,that has been already builded, with some L Apps installed. Instead of doing a whole ROM, just do a .zip with L Apps and why not..Also SystemUI and Framework (Maybe what I'll do )
Anyways Good luck!

I would suggest trying to put it on SD card and install it on-device, but PackageInstaller is not working, currently trying to fix that issue for next update and also port the SystemUI directly into the ROM.
Some screenshots?
