Hello There,
I have a question concerning gallery and events feature in Sense 5, i want to unlock my phone and i know it will wipe all content of my phone which i am aware of , so i will just copy paste my pictures and restore them.
However, my question is if after pasting back my pictures will sense 5 restore my events ? i really like the idea of having separate day/location and i wouldn't like to lose that and have all pasted back pictures under just one folder.
is there anyway of preventing that ? backup some file ? does it even happen , or simply phone reads the meta info in the picture and will reorganise it as it was before ?? thanks in advance .

Hi,
my diamond cannot take picture through camera application.
the picture is taken, but when diamond try to save the picture on my default picture folder, the waiting cursor pop up and remains until i close the application ...
I suppose that the problem is linked with "album cache" file :
i have moved several pictures from the default folder to another one (because there was too much files to be displayed in the same folder).
unfortunatly, i have deleted this file (album cache) ; since i cannot trake picture (when diamond try to save the picture taken , waiting cursor).
i've tried to put album cache file in the defalut directory from an old backup but it didn't solve this issue.
someone know how to fix this (edit the album cache file ?)
i want to avoid a full reinstall ...
thx in advance 4 ur help and sry for my bad english - i hope you have understand well -
Hello guy,
i have had the same problem after flashing an new rom from o2.
I have flashed it again and then i could take fotos again.
I just updated my Xperia using the update service and when prompted to backup data, I made a full copy of the Mobile Content via USB to my PC thinking that this is an "Update" so contacts, SMS, installed programs should remain.
Of course everything was deleted, and fortunately enough I was able to sync back my contacts, but I have totally lost all SMS.
Is there any way to restore the SMS back to Xperia from the copied files I made? Are Messages stored in the file directory in a way to make it possible to copy back?
I'll refresh this to ask if messages are kept in a specific file/folder in phone ?
same question with email/calendar actually
would be worth to know for a manual backup

messages are not kept in a specific file or folder in phone!
read here
BTW: I don't know exactly if that was you, but in the last days someone posted the same question allways 2 times in seperate threads and now I saw that you have post a similar question in other thread, please post in one thread and don't post same question in multiple threads. When you did that the first time, just see that as a hint, when you do that more often please reduce that. That improves the overview.
Same Question (from you): here, here, here and here.
Thanks in advance
neofoox thank you for help & your remarks. I realized I repeated the question perhaps too many times, that was because I thought there's not too many people visiting these forums now. I wanted to delete the unanswered topic but seems there's no such option.
I've also repeated myself in some topics regarding hardSPL through SD card which I did succesfully because I thought it was an unknown method (at least someone confirmed so) so it might help others but not all of them interested are subscribed to every similar topic.
btw as I have full access now to my old broken-lcd X1 though PC so I can do workaround to backup messages: pim backup in phone so I can transfer it to SD/PC and then to my current one
Hello,
Can anybody tell me how i can exclude some folders which contain images from showing up in my Album ?
i found a few replies regarding this in other forums but none of them worked and I tried asking in talk.sonymobile.com but it was useless.
I tried the .nomedia file creation method, Quickpic method and adding dot to the folder name method.
I tried all those methods to prevent the pics that i get via whatsapp from not being shown in my album. As you may know the pics that we download via whatsapp gets stored inside "Whatsapp images" folder.
I tried to put a blank .nomedia file into the folders and then cleared cache and data of both Album app and Media storage. Then after doing all that i rebooted my phone. I can still see the pictures in there in my Album app once i add a new pic into the folder.
Am running .253
i would really appreciate it if anybody could help me out
I am 100% positive that there are many people who would love to have a solution for this.
If you need anymore info then do please let me know.

the .nomedia way worked for me. but the trick is cleaning data and cache of the media server/media storage (don't know the exact name at the moment) in settings->apps, and then restarting the phone.
after a restart, album will be empty and start rescanning your storage. when finished, you'll see that there won't be the .nomedia folders included anymore.
HI all
Just a question.
My Samsung Ativ S makes auto backups to OneDrive.
Can we access these files ? Where can i download them ?
I allready tried something with Fiddler but did not see an URL to download or view these files.
What i want to try is to edit/view these files.
Many thanks in advance
M
I'm assuming you mean the backup option in the settings, not the auto upload of photos. I dont think we can access them, IIRC, they are solely for restoring your data onto another device and we dont get to touch it ourselves as of now.
Hi guys, I'm looking for a step by step tutorial for Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 MIUI 12.0.10 on Android 10 or anything similar to help restore deleted pictures for a friend of mine and that's what for I need to root the device. Also wouldn't mind if there would be anything about making a backup copy and just in case how to use it, just in case I've messed up Also if anything happens to the Note 9 I've got a backup phone for her (my old OnePlus 5, still working like a champ ), but I believe that with some help I'll be able to do it.
uhh rooting requires deleting all data from the phone mate..
try diskdigger app (doesnt need root) to find deleted pictures
it's impossible to recover deleted files. all these apps can do is search for (existing) thumbnails or cached pictures. don't waste your time in illusions.

actually you're wrong, when a file gets "deleted" it just disappears from you seeing it but it's still there, the image is marked for deletion if something else needs the space it is taking up, but if you manage to use a app to recover it before it is overwritten you can recover it
you are talking about hard disk drives, not smartphones.
