Hello Guys,
First i rooted my phone long time ago . Now i wanna update software from JB 4.1.2 "official Middle East" to any good, speedy ROM .
I have little info. about roms so i choose this thread
[ROM] [4.3] [OFFICIAL] Vanir (29/09/13) | Faster than the average ROM
but i don't know whether this supports Arabic language or not ?! . If not, May i attach Arabic or not ?!
Hi guys no one told me any thing till now !!! any solutions ?!!
Just try out the rom you want
I think slimbean support Arabic... Not so sure since I know nothing about that language, but I think I saw some Arabic letter in language settings
Sent from my LG-P880 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
All AOSP ROMs support Arabic and I'm guessing most languages as well.

No need for anything, you can select العربية (Arabic) as your default language in System Settings > Languages and Keyboards. Also, you can select Arabic as an input language for the keyboard
As for how to install, you need to first install a custom recovery (make sure to unlock your bootloader). Custom recovery is either CWM or TWRP. Then same steps for all ROMs, boot into recovery > wipe data/factory reset > wipe cache/dalvik cache > flash rom > flash gapps... Just follow your ROM's instructions.

Hey guys,
I'm new to android world so I just wanted to know 2 things by now:
1) How can I add Arabic language support to AOKP ICS Rom?
2) Can I add gapps or anything else into the archived Rom before putting it on sd card for installation so I can skip the second setup process through cwm?
Thanks
1) question one i am unsure of, there are a number of languages available, im unsure if Arabic is one since i cant Arabic but there are some symbols that look similar.
2) You can install Gapps & other apps Via Cwm, With the available zip packages.

1) I know there are 2 apps for arabic support on google store but I'm not sure if they support aokp ics rom or they made for previous roms
2) Did u mean I could transfer whatever I want to the rom package so they can be installed together without issues?
I wish if somebody could let me know besides u
Thanks for the help
1) I would imagine that the apps your speak of work, if they work on the other roms, Iv recently changed from GB to ICS and all of the Apps i was using have crossed over and work very well.. So i cant confirm that they would work but id say there is a very good chance.
2) To clarify what i meant, you can install Gapps Via Cwm, once you have download one of the available zip file packages, it is also possible to install other apps through Cwm such as Titanium backup.

I just check on language settings, I believe AOKP already have arabic language (Since I can't read Arabic, I can't verify but I am almost certain). With combination of GO keyboard, it is actually more than usable.
This an outdated version.
I'll not respond to any queries regarding this outdated version!

Its a good start. Keep working on the good stuff and who knows your ROM might be the best one around. I say that because one of the best ROMs for 5830i (AceCream) had initially got similar comments as "Too much crapware sry" etc, but now That ROM has marked its importance by all its good features. I hope people stop discouraging anyone who is putting efforts for making the experience of using our device, a better one. Take the criticism positively and keep improving :good:

What's the meaning of DeOdexed? What it will improve?
What's the meaning of DeOdexed? What it will improve?[/QUOTE]
The fact of the matter is DeOdexing is really only useful for theming. It won’t speed up your phone any.Technically it should slow it down, but in reality the difference is unnoticeable. In my experience, all custom ROMs come pre-DeOdexed, and they also zipalign your apps at boot. Zipaliging is the process of reorganizing the manner in which the .apk is packaged to optimize it for being parsed faster by the Android OS. The funny thing is, it is comparable if not better than the odex file structure, so you get the best of both worlds; a themed ROM and the speed of an optimized file structure. So really the only considerable difference lies in theming capability, and that’s where the choice is yours...
Also it will be great if init.d support is (or can be) implemented in ROM (for zip-aligning...and other good stuff).

use the tablet in a dark room, smart stay will tell you it can't see you and will shut the screen in a second or two.
but i got tell you, even in a dark room, it might be able to see you due to the light of screen in your face, so it's kinda genius
I intend to flash this Rom but in advance I want to know after first booting if we can see latin caracters and the selection of our own language easy or not..
Ths in advance..
After it finishes booting, you get to a screen (in thai, i guess ) ... where you can do only one thing... change the language

You've never seen first screen of fresh installed Rom? You have one window with languages to select, each language name is written in this proper language, so you will be able to read English in English I suppose

How nice to know that the first screen after booting will not be in Thai language..
Have you experienced it on your own ?
It is in Thai but there is one drop down box and one button. You click the drop down box and select the language of choice (which is written in that particular language) The button text then changes to the chosen language. It really could not be simpler.
Follow Up
Running straight for 2d 1h 6m... with mobile data on... battery at 69% ...
I think the "new" power saving feature is actually useful for a change
Anyone having problems ?
Flashed the 4.1.2 version there and it seems really nice. Install is in english. I had to flash with Odin since mobileOdin gave me bootloop.
