Hey guys, bought a Atrix HD phone on eBay. I love it, but the phone decided not turn on after using it for a bit. After opening the case the back of the phone, the battery immediately fell out... The bottom connectors had been stripped from the phone.
Then I realized... this does not look anything like a stock OEM Motorola battery.
First off... Its yellow.
Second... I didn't see a pull tab on the side.
So do you guys believe this is a fake after market battery? Are there ways to tell?
The battery looks a lot like this one on eBay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1750-mAh-ba...0-XT912-Droid-Razr-Screw-Driver-/251338203275
Edit: Did the nail polish removal trick... failed. None of the ink or words rubbed off. Looks like everything was photocopied onto the front.

That's a battery for the original RAZR. Not the one for the atrix or RAZR hd.

So basically, the original Atrix HD battery was removed?
I think you're right... The one I have is one the right. The battery I have doesn't even fill in the entire back of the phone. That's why it popped out when I opened the back.
I'm going to contact the seller.
My original EB20 looks exactly like the one on the left. The only difference is it has a small mark from a black marker to the left of the "MOTOROLA".

Thanks for the response. Now I know why my phone stopped working. It had a counterfeit battery installed... looks like i got a bad counterfeit battery because I've also had some pretty good ones in the past.
Well it's not counterfeit. It is a original Motorola battery. Just for a different phone lol.

Saw this listed on ebay, and wondered if anyone here has tried this out, and if so how does it compare to the Seidio 1750 mAh battery. Want to get peoples opinions/experiences before committing to buy this.

That may be, but that still doesn't stop the fact that it fits OEM style with no door upgrade. If this is good I will definately buy this irregardless of its origins.
Anyone try this??

Anyways ( <- irony intended, if you dont get the joke... sigh), Who's to say that battery is any better than the HD2 1500mah battery when it comes to too actual battery life? Never trust ebay.
Mugen has been sucking latley with false claims. See http://batteryboss.org/

I was thinking of buying that one myself. But to be honest I bought two Droid Eris batteries and a rapid charger for $9 shipped from overseas instead. Adds about two hours talk time (1500mAh)

steel droid 3?
Yes I think he means Steel Droid 3... Also, just to make sure, you DO have an XT862 right? I've heard the Steel Droid ROM will screw up an XT860. Just being thorough.

How do you guys SD compare to Liberty? I actually think it does better.

Ive never tried SD but both Monster and Liberty worked well for me.

This is very light use (some texts/tweets/angry birds/randomness) but still it shows theres no real standyby leak on Liberty, and ive seen similar performance on Monster.
All goes to show that at this point all the major ones are basically the same. You'll even see decent battery life from the stock ROM (5.6.890 update) once debloated.
Thanks for mentioning that, Savior057. I busted my XT860 by trying to flash Steel Droid. If your phone is an XT860, there are no ROMS available yet (except the Stock Chinese ROM (SBF/XML that can be flashed via Fastboot) - but I wouldn't flash that unless you absolutely had to! There is no stock Bell XT860 SBF/XML flash available yet).

I tried both SD and Liberty. This is the result of my experiment.
I tried SD 3 first. It had a very good battery life. Then I tried Liberty Gold. It was not good so went back to SD 3. Now, a couple of days ago, I flashed Liberty 1.2. the battery life is much better than SD 3. 24 hours after charging, I still have 60% left with moderate usage.
I hope this helps.
P.s: I also tried Monster 12. I was not impressed.

The ebay listing description says 3800 mAh but the photo below of the battery shows only 3000 mAh. Hmmmm.....
Hi..
So big, thx for this information !
dont bother with ebay batteries, they are terrible i owned one and it lasted a day at max, you get what you paid for.
Ive got the GSM model of Nexus S (non-4G). Is there a quality high-capacity battery for my phone? I already found some batteries with good user experience but all of them turned out to be for 4G only (because of the back cover). I was counting with Mugen 3900 as a sure thing but now I was told its not for my phone model. So ... what now?

Wondering about that too...
FYI, Mugen HK just emailed me that their 3900mAh battery is compatible with i9023, Im just not entirely sure the lady isnt mistaken ...
Picked this up today at my local Chapters store for $20. I just needed something for when travelling and don't have time to wait for an eBay or Amazon order to cross the border before my next trip.
It's not bad, fits in easily enough (thanks HUGE N7 bezel, you actually came in handy!). It also has a nice feel (different than most PU), and all the ports/buttons are usable while in the cover (though watch the top right strap, it can hit the power button).
Flap folds flat on the back if you want to use it in the case, and the N7 goes in and out of it quickly which is cool with me as this is just to protect it while in a bag, when actually using the N7 it'll come out of the case.
This is the NY Times model that comes in several different styles (I picked the most bland), and there are even nicer ones available if you want to drop more coin but at that point you're better off getting something actually made for the N7.

Nice pick up!
I saw something similar on Amazon from Marware for the Kindle. Also priced at $20.
See this case would be perfect for my wife if they didn't use elastic bands to hold it in, why is it so hard to find something like this that is just a little more industrial (has clips rather than bands)....ugh, the search continues, however this is pretty cheap and my wife might be willing to go with it, would be nice if it was a little smaller to fit the n7, just that much better, but beggars can't be choosers right?
hi, everyone
I just bought a new moto g2 yesterday. I found there are some stripes on the screen (attached files). After checking under a microscope, I think it is some kind of lamp(?).
Is this appear in your phone? is it normal or not. At least, this is not happened with my previous phone or my friends' .
Thanks for your help.
