This is an unoffical build of CyanogenMod 10.2 for the Samsung GalaxyTab 7.7.
It is in the very early experimental state. Please take a good look before flashing.
I don't have much time for ROMs now. Anyone interested to help will be very welcome.
2013/10/28
It is getting harder and harder to keep up with the new Android platform for our beloved 7.7. After a lot of digging and stuggling, I finally get the rom boot. Some functions are not working yet. However, it is a good experience for the new 4.3 on our tab. Cheers! :highfive:
Change log: :victory:
Code:
[COLOR="Blue"]28/10/2013[/COLOR]
- First experimental release.
- CM10.2 20131025 nightly build source
- Latest Android 4.3.1r1 (JLS36I)
- rewritten the device trees for 4.3 and selinux
- New blobs from other devices
- Opensource ril library to make phone work
- SELinux support in kernel
- Fixes in audio
- Fixes in sensors
- New gps settings and data
Know issues:
1. Inherent from CM10.1.
- Wifi-tethering, hdmi, etc.
2. Camera not working
- Blobs from Samsung no longer working here. Working on opensource solutions now.
3. Acelerometer (aceleration sensor) not working
- AKM lib not working.
- Compass will be affected, ~ 90 degrees off.
- Some apps (eg. Smart Compass) may turn the acelerometer off and Compass will point to the right direction again.
3. Bluetooh not working
- Need to see if the mojo in cm10.1 works here. (Lots of works...)
4. The default orientation of lockscreen is lanscape.
- not respond to rotation lock. Workaround: set only one angle in settings and enable rotation.
5. Please report.

WoW It's amazing news for P6800 Fans
Had just 30 min to test. But until now everything great (except known issues). My impression: again a lttle bit faster after applying my usual tweaks. Thanks!

Funny I was just about to post if we would ever get a 4.3 ROM and here it is will flash it tomorrow - thank you very much !!

Was just thinking about my 7.7 last week and wanting 4.3 on it, flashed another rom and it was crawling, saw this pop up and its great!!!
Thanks OP!
Amazing job, thanks!
Only thing is bothering me is really high battery usage in Standby mode:
- I've fully charged my 6800
- turned off Wi-Fi, data and even turned on Fly Mode
- haven't used it almost at all (just checked some times remaining battery %, settings and battery stats)
- after 7h7m of standby time it shows that only 17% of charge left
Battery stats shows only 2 battery consumers:
- multimedia (96%)
- screen (4%)
What's wrong? Your PA could last for days with such usage...

There is an new option in 4.3:
Settings > wifi > Advance menu >Scanning always available
This option is enabled by defaults. It will consume more power can be scanned even when wifi is OFF. Turn if off may save power.
Good luck!

Thanks I'll use it with my S4 4.3 firmware, but I really doubt that Wi-Fi could count as multimedia... and this option already turned off by default in your great new p6800 firmware
I'll try to use battery doctor to turn off all apps except my white list... maybe this will help...

I had the "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped"....Reflash everything,, reboot, factory reset. Nothing works. I had to restore.
Anyone with that problem?
note: I used "pa_gapps-full-4.3-20131024-signed.zip" Should I have used the other gapps?
sorry, should have been posted in other form on p6210
I just can say that on my device 6810 everything is great. Better than ever.
Concerning battery drain: I get very very impressive deep sleep times (wish I had it on my phone i9100 also). Not 1% battery drain over night if I go to airplane mode and kill all apps.
So I would recommend to get you "betterbatterystats" (BBS) and also cool "wakelock detector". To see what is keeping your device awake and drain your battery. - CPU spy is also very good to quickly check the used cpu frequencies. ... all these apps are somehow MUST have on any android if you play around with custom roms.
I'm pretty sure that some of your apps is doing weird things. If you find any annoying app with BBS, then try to clear all data of that app, if you think it could misbehave. Additionally you could deactivate autostart of the app and/or use a "greenify" to get hard controllable apps under control.
You could also make screenshots from BBS and wakelockdetector and post here if you have troubles to find YOUR battery draining app.
Additionally: For wifi on battery time: change the wifi scan time to higher values (google build.prop). The Default wifi scan interval of 15 for all CM is much to frequent. Intervals of 180 240 or 360 are enough and save much energy with wifi on.
best regards and good luck
i do not try it yet, still satisfied with official 4.1.2, but i am happy my big phone still has development by lovers, thx danial for your work again.
Battery Doctor wasn't running in my tab for the first day of 4.3 (I forgot to open it after wipe and installing new firmware...) and now it's all ok - this app kills all other apps I don't need (except white list of apps) and battery drain is gone!
Thanks for great new firmware!
Looking forward for your new builds.

Before going any further, please know this is for CM7 Gingberbread 2.3.3 ONLY.
Note: There is no conversion process, CM7 already uses proper file systems everywhere by default, so, it's not needed.

Main features:
Voodoo Sound v8. - Need I say more?
Voodoo Color. - Again, you should know this by now.
LEDNotification. - Not "BLN" - No app required - Use CM quiet hours for scheduling.
Overclocking. - 1.3Ghz max.
UnderVolting.
Extra governors. - Smartass, Interactive.
Various tweaks. - JPX screen timings.
Sometimes testing stuff. - Stuff from teamhacksung before it goes into their stable upstream.
Changelog:
Fixed battery info/display (Upstream) (NEW)
Some fixes for new recovery (NEW)
Upstream sync. (NEW)
Some fixes for new recovery. (NEW)
Test of new scripts.
Fixed said new scripts since test failed.
Supports GB 2.3.4 (Upstream)
Reviewed some code.
Removed governors: ondemand is better in their current state anyway. (NEW)
Allocate more memory to FIMC0 / fixes googles goggles FC. (NEW)
Upstream sync.
Requires latest CM7 nightly for compass, etc.
Supports bml_over_mtd at flash time.
Voodoo Sound v8.
Some touch-key tweaks.
Fixed touch key inactive on boot.
Added usb dock/audio/etc patches. (Testing - xcaliburinhand.)
Tweaked default haptic feedback intensity. (Slightly softer.)
Changes in LED handling. (Possibly fixes most remaining issues.)
You need this to control the LEDs CMParts see here to install properly (Doesn't install like a regular apk, the reason is its not really an app, it's part of CM7 with modified setting panel for LEDs)
LED on on resume has been disabled for now (keyboard woes - I think.)
Touch key: Enforce recovery routine during r/w failures (Fixes: Touch keys flash and stay off when missing a call - Possibly other weird situations.)
LED stay on when screen off as long as notifications are not deleted. (Due to popular request.)
Fixed liblight for quiet hours/LED issue.
Touch keys light up at resume for a short time. (Like Samsung ROMs)
LED notification respects CyanogenMod's 'Quiet hours' (Settings -> Cyanogen -> Sound -> Quiet hours) Setting LEDs to dim during quiet hours will disable led notifcations during those hours (So it's like BLN schedule except its using the CM feature.) - Thanks for that suggestion.
Fixed keys light time out. (I was being dumb with calls during interrupts, sorry.)
Coolya's battery experiemental tests: allow charging at higher temperature. (Like JPX), changed adc.
Added CONFIG_MODVERSIONS for Voodoo module support. (Future market app.)
Headphone fix. (Upstream issue - Means no play/pause/mic buttons, but at least you can listen to music like before.)
Added smartass - Currently doesn't go under 400mhz. (Not default and just testing.)
Stable OC at 1.3ghz, probably! (At least, 'more stable.' Report if you still crash.)
Fixed voltage table display. (No more '?' in Voltage App.)
Voodoo sound patch v6.
Higher refresh rate and timings, taken from JPX (thx morfic) - Results in 10fps boost in games and smoother scrolling elsewhere.

A: Yes, I can. It's running great so far!
Q: Does this have BLN support?
A: It has it's own built-in LEDNotification.
Q: Can I flash over Eugene's kernel?
A: Yes, you can.

great work. loving the rom. can't wait for kenex and camera bug to be worked out so I can switch over.
Glad that one person is nice enough to stop in and say thanks
I appreciate the work and am probably going to flash one of these today.
Does this one (CM9 based) have any bluetooth issues? I was on Hash's CM9 before Blackhole and couldn't get bluetooth to pair in my truck. I'm going to try this one today most likely and then try the Blur based ROM if it doesn't work for me.
Thanks for all the options. Its great that you're putting in the effort to allow us to pick the shortcomings we have to live with (until a perfect solution comes out...fingers crossed that will be soon)

Battery Life?
Great work man! I've had a couple issues though.
Battery life is not good at all. I can see the battery percentage drop while I'm using the phone. I'm living off the wall charger.
Sometimes when I lock the screen the menu keys stay lit up. I try battery pulls and they still stay on. Most of the time though they turn off. I've run into that problem 3 out of the past 6 days using it.
My car charger does not work. It recognizes it and says it's charging but doesn't charge. When I was trying to charge it, navigation was running. Don't know if that makes a difference.
I seriously love everything about this except for those couple of things. I'm hesitant to change roms but I might just because I need better battery life.
Just installed this. Works great. Thanks for the great work
Hey guys,
Does this have the same customizations as the original Liquid had?
Lockscreen, status bar, etc?
nm.....I see that it does....
I liked the status bar tweaks from 1.5mr.....but this rom seems NICE!

Hmm, it seems the wifi is killing the battery.....anyone else seeign this?
im on wifi, i unplugged from full charge, 47 min, and already at 80%
Went into battery info, an says 54% used by wifi....huh????
Ok, no disrespect to the author, as I still love and use this ROM. But it seems the battery life is slightly less then the original Liquid.
Quick observation, seems like regardless of what governor I use, something is causing the CPU to max every 4 to 6 seconds. Where as on original Liquid....if you had min of 300 set, it would sit at 300 with nothing else...
Anyone else notice this?
will there be any continual development on this ROM with future updates?

This is more cm9 than liquid. I miss liquid to but dhacker never replied they seem to do their own thing. Its just updated. I may uodate eventually and yes i notice the wifi drain it drives me crazy
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
I'd like to say thanks! I just found 1.1 I'm on 1.0 and have been loving it past few days.. I have noticed the excessive battery drain but I do use wifi a lot at my house to save data.
Also, I really love the includes on this rom,
Yeah, I noticed the same on other CM9's.
One thing I did play around with, was the wifi scan interval. I know the value is in seconds, however, I tried 90 to 180, and got same battery drain. I changed the value to 360, and noticed tremendous improvement. Get 3 hours every 10%. Odd thing is, I'm realy not sure what "wifi scan interval" means. Is this how often it checks? I'm finding, the min I turn wifi on, it connects immediately. If I'm driving, and I pull in my driveway, it connects immediately, regardless of what the value is.
For me, changing it to 360 gave me much better results.....

Battery, RAM & Performance Tweaking Guide
**BATTERY CALIBRATION**
Charge your Battery to a 100%:
-> WIPE BATTERY STATS
-> REMOVE Charger
-> Use for complete cycle (to nearly 10%)
-> Do not reboot anywhere in between
-> CHARGE to 100% (and give additional 1 hour after that)
-> Enjoy COMPLETE BATTERY CYCLE
This ensures that when your battery shows 5% remaining, it actually is 5% instead of really being 15%. That's why battery calibration is important. It doesn't improve battery life, but gives you your COMPLETE Battery life.
MORE:
- Go to SETTINGS>DEVELOPER OPTIONS
- Force 2D GPU rendering
**RAM Cleaning**
- Do not use task killers
- Freeze/Move to Quarantine those APPS which you DO NOT USE regularly and you don't want them TO RUN IN THE BACKGROUND
APP QUARANTINE on Play Store
Go ahead, try it. Move all unwanted apps to quarantine now!
**DEEP SLEEP BATTERY SAVER**
Your phone sips the least amount of power when it is in DEEP SLEEP STATE. There is a new app in the marketplace which can FORCE DEEP SLEEP STATE on your phone. This is especially useful if you want the phone to conserve battery for hours and then wake up for a minute and sync all new alerts in one go. This can help prolong your usage on a single charge.

DEEP SLEEP BATTERY SAVER on Play Store
This app is under development and can be found on XDA developers forums itself. Here's the link to the thread:

Hate it when people go like create topic like crazy! and then find info about the rom and its like:
"hey man! New rom! Its lite and fast! still 4 weeks to upload though! Stay tuned" Blegh!
Anyway thanks.

That's awesome. Yeah what you're saying makes sense, just seems like lately activity here has dwindled down a lot with so many going to other devices. Over the weekend we almost went 24 hours without a post.

It's true. I usually lurk here or post if something is needed. I just go around flashing all the new releases and trying them all out to see which ones work best for me. I might be trying this one in the next few days. On another note, SG's CM10.1 also has 10k downloads.
Yeah, I'm going to flash this one and see how it's like. I've been trying out SG's 4.2.2 but the phone won't go to sleep when the screen is off and so it is constantly draining, besides that it's great.
Happy Flashing!

I love this ROM!
Been waiting for this... Thanks Tim. Been using AOSP build 6 as my main phone nandroid. Flashed all the others, but nothing compares to AOSP for cleanliness. Flashing Update now.
This ROM is working good so far except for some issues I'm having. I use GPS all the time because I use the MapMyRun app everyday. I noticed that GPS does not work. I tried Google Maps to see if it was a bug with the other app. Maps couldn't find a GPS signal. I don't know if it's just me or a bad install and I'm wondering if others have a working GPS.

Have you tried rebooting your device? I use Runkeeper with GPS for my running activities & I occasionally have to reboot the phone to get a GPS lock, especially if I turn GPS on and Off alot... Not sure what the issue is with my phone but I have been seeing it since I got it in December on the stock ROM.

You're a runner too? Nice! I did a full power down and reboot and it won't find a GPS signal. I know what you're talking about when you turn GPS on/off and it doesn't work until a reboot. I think it's some glitch with the custom roms. I would normally turn off GPS because my geosocial networking apps would randomly search for gps signal and drain my battery. The stock rom works fine on my phone, but it feels so ancient. ha ha

May have found a bug.
When you hold down the home button to see all of your recent apps, there isn't that button that looks like three lines to clear all of them at once.

Hey did you try this ROM?/It's very good, battery seems slowly draining, i know it's early and later will confirm, please confirm if Torch is working if you installed?
The ROM is wonderful, very smooth, good battery, I'm really enjoying it, the best so far, I just had problems with the freeze on the lock screen, I decided to disable it, but I know you'll find a solution soon, looking forward to the next versions, Congratulations to all collaborators!
I am going to flash this tonight,,,how is the battery compared to Mokee?

Been using this ROM for 16 hours and I can say that it's one of the best Oreo ROM for victara. Everything seems fluid and stable. I got a freeze for some seconds while trying to wake my phone. I tried unchecking in pocket detection and it seems fine now. Love the extra options of this ROM. I like the double tap to sleep the phone anywhere on the screen. I will stick to this ROM.
does the sound stutter when you play games like AOV(Arena of Valor) ?
How is the temp and battery on this rom? I have noticed that some 8.1 roms have spikes of temp with moderate to high usage and some deal of battery drain even when not being used?
I just got to know one thing,,,how did you get the Now Playing for songs to work, even with the screen off? Now I really dont miss my Pixel that I sold LOL Great job!
Does it need Gapps?
Interesting read,,,the only problem is for me,,,Now Playing or Ambient Play,, does not stop. I am getting a huge battery drain partial wake lock with audio in,,,which I can only assume is this service. I have tried to shut it off in settings but it is still on. I cant seem to find "Luna Ambient Service" in my apps to force close it either? Is there another way to shut it down so I can only use it when I want?
Kinda weird that no one knows anything about these 8.1 roms or even bothers to answer including the dev for them?

All credits to Chris Crump:
"So after checking out Carbon Rom's port of the Google Now Playing feature, I shortly realized it's only working on Pixel devices. So initially I began working on getting it to work for any device, but I remembered my post from the other day about reverse engineering a Now Playing alternative.
So I did some digging and found a music app called Encore that has music recognition built it. I learned afterwards it was open source. You know what that means
So over the course of 8 hours I've been stripping the music recognition code out of out the app. It wasn't alot and very simple actually. Its very similar to Google's Now Playing except it pulls the songs fingerprint from a third party database and compares it to the one grabbed from the audio recording. I rewrote it into our own service called Luna Ambient Services (A spin on Pixel Ambient Services)..."

Yes
Can't find the customisation options
Where are the customisation options like statusbar, swap navigation buttons, lock screen etc.? Otherwise fantastic ROM. Thanks.
I installed this ROM last night and its been 22 hours since I am using this.
Few issues I have noticed:
- As mentioned by @huatz84, phone was freezing for 5-8 seconds while waking it up from lockscreen. I turned off "pocket detection" as suggested by @huatz84 and now I do NOT have freeze wake issue
- Biggest problem I am facing is data connectivity issue. Phone does not connect quickly to mobile data connection. Though bar shows full signal with 4g, still speedtest/browser/youtube/apps says no connection. After trying for a minute or two, I am then able to open the links/videos. However, this problem repeats whenever I am using mobile data after few mins of internet inactivity. When it's connected, the data works fast. So it is NOT a problem with signal reception. Tried APN reset, airplane mode off/on, restart phone, 3g/4g toggle - but same results.
- Ambient sound keeps running. Still have not tried the solution that was posted before.
- Apps take couple of seconds longer to open up, especially when using the phone after sometime (might be something related to deep sleep)
What I love
- smooth transitions (except opening of apps mentioned above)
- like the new Oreo look and feel
- battery life good so far but need to monitor closely
- biggest thing--it has support for Moto gestures & wakeup on wave, which I love
If anyone has any suggestions for data connection issue, please let me know. I liked this ROM overall but if data connection issue persists, I will go back to 7.1
