After searching around I couldn't find anything related so here's my problem.
After succesfully unlocking the bootloader of my Xperia Z it continues to work fine.
It prompted the initial startup screen (enter language, account info ect.)
I turned my device off and on... this is where the problem starts..
This is what i get
Sony brand logo>
Xperia brand logo>
5 repeated cloud animation of xperia logo and at the last one it stalls, Phone reboot and back to 0.
This goes on repeatedly until a hard poweroff or complete discharge ( I suppose)
So I know im kinda screwed, is relocking the bootloader any option? Contacting Sony atm for some sort of software replacement/flash anything..
Cheers, Geert
Try the safe mode, keep pressing vol down with power until the phone boot completely.
If the phone boot to safe mode than do a factory reset.

Welcome to XDA
you should go to the recovery thread in my signature. Read the first 2 posts.
Hope you recover your phone.
Hi everyone !
I have the same problem as GeertNool. My Xperia is stuck in the same loop. I have tried everything.
- Flashboot : stuck at 0% when i try to flash
- Pc Companion and SEUS = dead ends
- Safe mode : cant make it work
I read the recovery thread. It seems that the Kernel is malfunctioning but i dont understand what should be my next move. Am i supposed to let the phone reboot endlessly untill eventually the battery dies ?
Thanks a lot for your precious answers.

Yes.
When the battery dies the phone should reset itself.
After the loops end plug into a charger, not pc for now.
You should get a red led indicating low battery level charging is working.
After the red led you may get Sony boot screen or bootloops.
If you get Sony and then the charging battery icon, then charge to over 50%. Then use pc companion or flashtool to restore.
If you get bootloops then read my 2nd post from the recovery thread in my signature for bootloop tricks.
Please let me know if it works. I am looking to add the Xperia Z to my recovery guide.
If there are any questions about my guide please ask in that thread.
Thanks

Try this: hold power and VolUp for about 15 seconds. The device should vibrate 3 times in a row. It should now be off. Don't plug it in anywhere.
Download the correct flashtool beta for xperia z http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2162907
Download a known-to-work firmware ftf
Put it into C:\Flashtool\Firmwares
Open flashtool (flashtool64 if you run 64bit Windows)
Chose Flash (flash arrow button)
Chose the ftf you downloaded
Enable "Wipe: Data, Cache, Appslog"
Click flash
A new window opens with a "press back button" animation
Now plug in the device while ONLY holding VolDown. Only VolDown, no Power. The LED should turn green.
Don't interrupt the flashing process. It will take a while.
Report back if it worked.

takes a few atempts but it worked.
takes around 20 mins to download then install another 10.
i couldnt get flashtool to flash firmware as my phone is locked on 3 mobile firmware locked bootloader

update:
schaggo method works. i can breath now. thanks to @gm007
This worked great for unbricking mine !!
P.S. don't waste time for Sony's Emma flash, they do not send login credentials in real time, site says they do manual user validation ...

I have the same issue here, the phone suddenly dead. Charge it using AC adaptor and wall socket and the red led flashs for about 2 hours, the orange LED never turns on. Try your advice and got this:
1) Vol up + Power not work (no vibration, nothing)
2) Flash with flashtool 0.9.10.2 beta6 with no lucky, indicated "device disconnected" after animation gone.
3) regress to flashtool 0.9.10.1, device connected and then stuck at "flashing data.....", the progress bar stay at 0% and then nothing.
P.S. bootloader is still locked but phone is ROOTED so I'm affraid it's out of warranty. Just got the phone as a birthday gift from my wife yesterday! She'd kill me if she knows that.
Update:
1) Power + Vol Up works now. The sequence does matter, I found I have to press the Power button first and then Vol Up, it dosen't work vise versa.
2) flashing still doesn't work for me. And I noticed that the LED turn green and then turn off immediately. I'm not sure if that is the cause. I'm sure when in fastboot mode (connect to USB port when pressing Vol Up), the LED turn blue and stay blue. Is my flash mode corrupted?? That's really bad!

Try sony update service or remove flashtool and install again and use another firmware(maybe the first one is corrupted).

Returning to stock
Hey guys,
I've flashed [ROM][JB 4.2.2][CM10.1][AOKP-MR1][PananoidAndroid 3.15] PAC v22.1.1 - Update: 0508 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2208249&page=65. It's working, but I'd like to try another ROM, specifically Xperia Z Revolution™ from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2175903. This requires to install stock 10.1.A.1.434 firstly So I downloaded C6603_10.1.A.1.434_Generic DE, NL, world. Flashing with Flashtools 0.9.10.1 always stucks at 0%.
BL unlocked. Does anyone have any idea how to get stock 434 in the phone? Originally there were older one 10.1.A.1.340, if it's somehow important to know...
Hi guys.
Today I started to do some things with my phone.
Where I wanted to give wipes to factory reset it. But to do it i just formated SYSTEM. In DUALRECOVERY INSTALLED I just formated SYSTEM only
Now to start my phone (power on) this stays in the SONY logo and does not advance more. I tried to flash it with flashtool but my z1 does not recognize it and it stays in the red LED.
Not recognized SONY PCC and Flashtool.
What can i do ?
I'm hoping you can help me..
Put some custom rom on SD card, and try to install it.

but now i cant enter to dual recovery.
i think i delete it when i formated the system.
When i turn on my phone this stays in SONY logo.
no LED lights
Formatting system will wipe EVERYTHING on system partition plus loss of recovery, root and won't boot.
I recommend TWRP recovery if you want to do a factory reset.
Enter in flashmode by turning off phone holding down power and volume up at the same time (phone will vibrate thrice).
Make sure your doesn't boot suddenly then hold down volume- and connect usb. See if green led KEEPS on, now check on Flashtool if device is connected.
If its connected properly now flash you ftf file and root again. Never wipe system or other partition again! Do factory reset under androids settings-> backup and reset option.
fixed
The problem was the battery.
This was discharged. In flashtool could not recognize it.
I left it charging in the SONY logo 2 hours.
flashtool and then try again successfully managed to fix it.
Thanks to a backup I regained some things.
THANK YOU ALL.
edit: fixed it, just flashed a stock FTF, i'll dot the whole process again later on and hope this time it works out
You can close teh thread (i've tried to delete it but can't find the option)
I've just checked that I can boot my phone and recovery works. But for instance when i try to put service mode it gives an error with IMEI
edit: i've booted to the other recovery (using volume up) and installed the pre-rooted FW again. Shut down and tried again the flashmode process but still no luck, red and quick green light. After booting the phone, it seems to work basically, but wifi not working, it doesn't turn on.
What should the next step be?
The computer does not recognize the phone when my connect it to the USB port, not even charge. The only thing that happens is a flash of red light then green light. Same thing if phone is shut down when i connect the usb cable, red flash, then sony screen appears, then green light, and finally it vibrates two times before showing the level of battery, but without actually charging it.
Anf if i try a Vol Down+Power when in standby and connect with usb cable, it shows a quick red then green flash, and then nothing.
Ok i fixed that problem apparently the USB cable decided to stop working...
Now i have another problem as I decided to install the deodexed ROM and now my phone gets stuck at the sony screen and i can't even boot to recovery.
What i did to install:
Boot to recovery using Volume Up (PhilZ)
Prepare to install new rom (which formats Data, cache, etc)
Install ROM form SDcard1
Everything went fine but at the end it says "root lost or something" I put yes, then rebooted to system, and got stuck on sony screen....
What did i do wrong and how to fix it??
Thanks for the help!
It's my fault::crying: I have boot in recovery mode and wiped EVERYTHING in internal memory; TFT ready for flash in SD card but, instead of flashing the TFT I have switched off the phone!
Now is stuck with Sony logo in the middle and red light if connected to USB.
It isn't recognized nor by Flashtools, nor by PC companion.
Boot in flashmode isn't possible.
Any idea?
I reply to myself:
Open the Sp; in the back there is a pinhole with the word "OFF".
Keep it pressed for ten seconds until the phone vibrate three times.
The phone is now switched off.
Prepare Flashtools for flashing a firmware.
Power on the SP and keep pressed the "volume down" ; put the USB on.
Now the SP is in "flash mode" and Flashtools can flash the firmware!!!

Try to flash kernal with recovery and then flash any rom from sdcard
just recently, I just downgrade my phone from CM11 (KitKat) to JellyBean. there's some error while flashing the rom. Im quiet sure about it. whats more important is that now my phone just cannot boot properly, when I start the phone its vibrate like always with green led and right after the SONY logo, my phone just switch off.. I cannot access anything even recovery mode. and there is one another problem, when I plug in usb, green led light shows up, later for about a minute my phone automatically boot up with RED led then just after SONY logo it switch off again, and then goes green led on back and red led comes again off right after every SONY logo, just like ON and OFF again & again..
Sorry I dont know how to describes it, and sorry for my bad english if you guys find it hard to understand. PLEASE help in this case!! Thank you in advance!
You must enter fastboot mode. Erase the boot section and flash a new boot image (.img) or a kernel .elf file.
Use the commands:
> fastboot erase boot
> fastboot flash boot boot.img or fastboot flash boot boot.elf
> fastboot reboot
After that, if the boot.img contains a recovery system, it would be installed and now you can enter recovery again and reflash your rom.
I think that any boot.img inside a CM Rom zip file have a recovery system.
Are you familiar with fastboot mode? How to enter, usage, drivers?
Please give me the instruction on using fastboot. Im not very familiar with fastboot.
How can I find the img, where to download? and how to use it.
Thanks by the way for tips, I think I've been using the wrong rom, I dont know which is the right rom to downgrade to stock.
If you want to downgrade to stock i'd recommend you to use the Flash tool for Xperia.
You can download it here => http://developer.sonymobile.com/downloads/tool/flash-tool-for-xperia-devices/
Follow these instructions => http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/flash-tool/use-the-flash-tool-for-xperia-devices/
You need to do the step 4 right for it to work.
I guess it will solve your problem.
If you have any other question, just ask.
As I mention before on the previous post, the problem is every time I plug-in usb the device keep on connected and then disconnected. on and off, and booting itself with red led till the SONY logo come off its shutdown and green light appeared again. Its like not properly connecting the device.
Is that okay to go on flash mode? may it not been error before operating this?

Keep the usb connected.
When it reboots, before the sony logo appears, keep the volume down key pressed. When the light turns green, the phone entered the flash mode and you can release the volume down key. I dont know if it will reboot again. If the phone enters flash mode (green light) and reboots after that, maybe is a driver issue. In fastboot mode (volume key up + blue light) sometimes this heappens. I dont know about flash mode.
