Hello . I just bought new battery (Onite 2750mAh) and also changed whole system with cm 10.2 + NX krnel . Now I have huge problems with battery life. it drains very, very fast. like 2-3 % in 10 mins even when I`m not using phone at all. Also yesterday it went 45%- 0 over night when I was sleeping . Help pls
Power off the phone.. remove the battery... Wait for 20 seconds.. reseat the battery and power on and monitor... You can also check the apps draining the battery using Wakelock Detector app or BetteryBatteryStats.
Are you using 10.2 or 10.1 the reason I ask is because you say you are using 10.1 +nd kernel. The problem is that nx kernel is for 10.1 not 10.2 if you are on 10.2 then use raw v3 for great battery life.

A screenshot of your battery stats sometimes help.
Give us Your battery history screenshot, and also You might want to use such programs as wakelock detector and cpu spy. It would be useful.

CM 10.2 tends to give inaccurate battery readings on my device for some reasons. But battery performance is very good on PAC rom though, so you might want to try out the rom, its a good room with many customization options

(have not tried the recovery process)..or any way to make my battery last the longest?? please help.

Hey guys, i just wanted to know if anyone is getting this issue. After installing paranoid android V.03 im having this huge battery drain. Almost 10% battery loss every 40 minutes even with Mobile Data and WiFi off. I should say i've flashed this rom over a stock gb. There is no modifications and the kernel used is the same that comes with that rom.
look for BetterBatteryStats and CPU Spy, download it. Check in CPU spy if ur phone is going into deep sleep, If not, put it in airplane mode, reboot and turn airplane mode off, if still not going in Deep Sleep, open BetterBatteryStats check the wakelocks and come back here.
First day on v0.3 I had the same problem. But it was really interesting when I figured out why the battery drain was so fast.
Look at your battery status if there is any drops like 3-5% which was happened immediately in a second. If yes your system is rebooting sometimes and that makes your battery drained. I had 1 or 2 reboots every hour on the first day.
If you didnt wipe dalvik cache and wipe cache after flashing the update may be that is the problem.
i did wipe the device. I have not notice any reboots . I'll fully charge it and check the battery life again. I've notice a fast battery drain even when i'm using it to text only. Like it's 80% one moment and when i look back at it it's like 78% Out of nowhere ( and as i said no data or WiFi).
Edit: almost forgot to mention. Just checked the cpu spy app and it does go into deep sleep(it shows an 8hour record in that state).

If you flash a rom with less than full battery it will take a few days/restarts/charging cycles for the battery stats to reconfigure correctly. This is the case with all roms, stock or otherwise.
If it persists after that, better battery stats should help identify what program is swallowing all the juice.
PS. I'm on same rom and kernel and have excellent battery life so it should resolve itself after a couple of charges.

Well.. i've been using it as always, and still feeling like it's going down too fast. When i flashed the rom , i did it with full battery. Anyways, i'll keep using it for a few days more and see if it changes. i've installed betterbattery stats and CPUspy as you guys recommended, so i'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for the replies, i'll let you know guys any changes :good:
+1
ihave this problem with this rom battery drain
WTF ??!!!
Hi! I have a problem with CM9. My battery is draining very fast!
When i went to bed phone had 88% remaining.
When i woke up it had only 42%.
Is ti normal?
That is not normal. download better battery stats and check to see if an app is preventing the phone from sleeping, or causing wakelocks.
Also make sure that your cpu is not sticking. I noticed that once and a while my cpu would stick on 1300mhz while using lulzactive or smartassv2. Check that in settings > performance > Processor.
Also, just so you know, the whole wiping battery stats has always been a myth and always will be. It doesn't work.
i also had this problem and my battery used to drain after day and a half of normal use. it may be because your battery is not fully charged. i mean when installing a new rom if your battery is not charged fully new rom may not recognize your battery level correctly. so try to completely drain battery and then charge it to full. and even let it be charged some more because the indicator may be wrong. this worked for me.
Android system and android os both use 20% of battery which is the greatest.
And where i can download battery stats and how do i install them?

my android system used alot some how but not android os. this may be because of an application. you can find this app on google play or just google it and download it from mobile. and if you cant access below simply copy to phone via computer and install.
In different threads some guys said "flash different modem"
And it worked with others so should i try it too?
Modem only affects cellular signal, so unless all your battery drain is coming from cell standby, it probably won't fix it.

i'v tryed several roms, most of them show that higher power consumption is by screen, but the thing is that i do not use my phone during the work day, but still battery drain. any ideas why?
Donno if it's important but i tryed different cm9 roms and battery drain was different to.
any ideas please..:good:
Hello, and scuse me for my poor English but if that can help someone:
I had a lot of problems with battery drain of my phone, so i've tested some roms but give me bad results. All my tests was the night, with no data, no wifi, no bluetooth
Supreme Rom was the first and battery drain was 3% by hour
Rom Ripper V1.0 was the second and with perseus kernel 4 or 5% by hour....!
The third XTrem rom V3 with Perseus Kernel 3% by hour and with Stock Kernel 1,5% by hour. V4, it was the same. I've tested with set CPU at minimum (400 MHZ max) screen off, voltages for all frequences -25mV, don't change anything.
BUT last Night I've tested Padorium ROM V6 with Stock Kernel and OUahhh, my battery was at 90% before sleep and 8 hours after, 87%. So 0.5% only by hour!! And in use (datas or wifi on, internnet, fcbk.....) 1% every 10 min. It's very good.
If that can help someone who's flashing again and again for battery drain....
I would not say this has solved battery drain.
I can get same amount of loss overnight if I turn off data, wifi, bluetooth etc as in 3% all night even less if I put the phone into flight mode. No matter what phone or rom I have used I can get these same results.
For you to lose soo much battery overnight you must have some rogue app running in the background to cause it, that is why personally I restart the phone before going to bed to kill any unknown apps in the background that are going to drain battery.

I don't think there was some apps who drained my battery. I've installed some tasks killers and that don't change anything. I saw regulary apps who runing, there were no apps stranges. I use the same apps now and battery drain is ok.

Hey all,
I have a problem with a 2X. The battery gets drained to 0% within 4 hours without even having the screen on. Battery consumption shows me that it's caused by Cell Standby (90% usage), which is very strange because I don't even have a sim inserted in the phone. Even airplane mode does not prevent this from happening. Tried about 6 different roms and even a new battery, but no luck.
Any ideas?

Try installing better battery stats and gsam battery monitor, and give the battery a few cycles. Check all the info given by the apps, may be a kernel wakelock or something.

go back to the stock rom n check the battery life if happens the same u seriously need to change the device
@Robin2 I had the same problem with my old O2x, the only way I found to extend the battery time though out the day
was flashing the Kowalski Kernel as for me the stock CM kernel in all the nighties were causing the heavy battery drain.

Same problem with my o2x, batterycalibration + kowalsky kernel but extreme consumption, do you have solution ?

Hello, mates,
there may be a few solutions, depending on the problem. I had some problems when gps wouldn't turn off even if I turned it off a few times - the battery drained very fast. I had problems with battery calibration, when the drain was unbelievable. It could be that your battery is not calibrated, it could be problems while flashing rom/kernel or it could be your battery lifetime ended (you used up most of battery cycles of recharging). My advice is to firstly try clean install rom/kernel after wiping almost everything (except sd). If the problem persists, try to calibrate the battery with any of your chosen methods (I use battery calibration from play store). If the problem still persists, try using a new battery.
