Bear with me while I try to explain (and remember) what happened to get me to this point.
--
Last night I was using WeUI and decided for a switch so I flashed AOKP Build 34 and the flash went well. I then tried to do a restore using MyBackup Pro with an older backup which it didnt work because it couldnt find the directory (even though I put it in the right one but that isnt important). After that I turned away from the phone for a minute or so and when I looked back, I saw that the screen had darken and the AOKP unicorn was on the screen. At which point I thought the phone had froze along the way somewhere and so I took out the battery and restarted the phone. I then started the phone back up and I got this screen saying there was an issue with the phone and I needed to reboot it.
I did but it brought me to CWM recovery, which I thought was odd but then figured I just needed to reinstall the rom, so I was going to but it only showed me my external sd card and I couldnt get access to my internal sd card and left it for the night. Then today (after getting into download mode) I tried using the odin3 1-click to JF6 which succeeded but once it completes it just throws the phone into bootloops.
So now I am at the point where I am out of ideas of what I need to do, but luckily I am still able to get into download mode and recovery mode so its not SO bad right guys? *fingers crossed*
Any help would be appreciated in this little pickle I am in.
You have suffered from the Encryption unsuccessful problem. Right now your phone is a paper weight. Gotta wait until there is fix found... Sorry

Damn. Really? I guess the only good thing I have going for me is that it isnt my main phone anymore so I guess I can afford to wait it out and hope that a fix can be found in the somewhat near future.

Correct :/
If you're interested, there's a thread in the Development section (look for "Encryption Unsuccessful") that talks in great length about this issue.
Some people (myself included) have dodged a bullet because the Android angels smiled and allowed them to flash a stock ROM before the device marked the Internal SD as encrypted. Most people, however, aren't as lucky and have an inaccessible Internal SD.
Not trying to contradict b-eock, just wanting to futher expand on the post.

Yea I found that thread just now, and I will probably give it a shot, good thing I bought a big microSD card to use with this phone. So if I do this method, that means that the internal sd card is completely shot then and no chance of it being used again?

Correct, for now we know the cause and steps that lead to this issue but there is currently no solution to get the internal sd back.
This thread gave me another clue. I posted in the Encryption thread to stay centralized.
i have an att atrix hd and i installed the safestrap and since then decided it wasn't for me as of yet... i deleted the partition in slot1 NOT the stock and when i rebooted my phone i now only have 4 and some change gig instead of the 8 i had before.... please... i am begging.... how do i get my memory back? i flashed it with the flash and root and etc. that the myth team came up with and to no avail. i dont know where to post my question and i need the memory back badly. this is internal memory we are talking about and not external.. I just flashed the aokp_mb886_unofficial_2013-05-08
but still same issue..
im no expert
Hi there, other than my "Hello" post this is first, but maybe others will chime in. I used and screwed up my AHD with safestrap too, was all my fault, i believe it's a good tool.I too had lost memory, i believe it was something to do with the original stock partition, long story short, over a few weeks i really messed it up. Thanks to a lot of folks on this site, and LOTS of reading, i believe i finally got it right, so, here goes.....
First, I believe, again I'm no expert, that the Mythtools is for loading stock roms, i don't know if its ok for customs, but thats not the issue. Second, before I loaded my stock rom, which I got here, and made sure I had the latest drivers installed, if you've been messing around you should know how to do that.
Third, I made sure there was nothing on the phone i couldn't live without, because it was all going by by.....
Forth, I used option #1 in mythtools, when finished i booted into recovery.
Fifth, in recovery, (not safestrap, it is CMD), i used every wipe and format option available.
Sixth, I ran option #2 in Mythtools (to the letter) and installed my factory ROM
After that I re-rooted, re-unlocked the bootloader and had to fix fastboot, was stuck and not booting normaly, i found info here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2260105,
......installed all my tools, ROM manager, TiBU, etc. and.......
MADE A RECOVERY FILE
I hope I helped, this place has helped me alot, like I said, maybe an expert will chime in.
One more thing, I bought a new phone before attempting, was silly, wasn't too hard
I already answered this in your other post.. Did it not work?

When I do that it gives the error due to it being partition incorrect.
I'm pretty sure that that is 4.86 USEABLE gigs not total. 8GB is just an estimate. Formatted space is less and the OS also makes it less

So, bought my Note 3 when my contract was up on my Note 2.
Played with it for about a week, then decided to re-root like I did on my Note 2.
Downloaded the Kingo root, as it looked the simplest and then installed safestrap to eventually look at a rom.
Booted Safestrap into recovery, then set my phone next to me and started watching Role Models again. I must have layed on my phone weird or hit some buttons. Because only a Galaxy Note 3 screen is up with a big CUSTOM at the bottom.
Not too sure what I did, but I have tried almost every method of recovery to get the thing working again. So far, we are at hour 12 and I am at a complete loss. Every method either fails or says it worked, all to the same end. My phone will go to either the Download (Odin) screen, Recovery or the GN3 Logo.
Did I (literally) accidentally brick my phone? Or is this fixable?
Was your phone on 4.3 JB or 4.4.2 Latest AT&T KK? Which version of SS did you install? 3.72 or 3.71? Have you tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2559715 ? Or this

There is your problem. "4.3, Safestrap 3.72". it shoulda been 3.71 man. 3.72 is for KK. If the heimdall fails, then you need to reinstall the two packages (86x and 64x) ones and reboot your pc. Same exact thing happened to me and that fixed it. The other method will definitely work(or hopefully) ask op (@mutantblack). He's very helpful. Make sure you use 3.71 SS If you're on 4.3 JB.

I'm not sure what it means by load everything on to your external SD card. My computer doesn't detect my phone at all.
Use K-Alzawayed's first link. Follow the instructions explicitly. Use a card reader if you can't connect the phone to the computer, but first make sure you've installed the Samsung Driver on your computer.
Once you've done that you'll be on MJ5. Root the phone and turn the AT&T update app off. (You can use Link2SD to freeze it.) Then install Safestrap 3.71 and install some 4.3 ROMs. (Be careful - there are 4.3 and 4.4.2 apps here in the development thread.)
You'll probably also need to reset to MJ5 again (and allow the phone to keep updating) if you ever want the official 4.4.3 update. (I wouldn't take the 4.4.2 - unless you have a specific need for it - too many bugs for my taste, although my wife's N3 doesn't seem to have any problems.)
As far as the Custom lock, Xposed and the Wanam module will fix that - Wanam has a checkbox in the Security hacks section to set the phone back to show that it's stock (even though it's not).

Yes, use a card reader to insert your external sd card in then plug into your computer then transfer whatever files you're asked to transfer to the SD card in that thread then after done, put your sd card back into your phone then go ahead with the process. I wish I had some time to chat with you on hangouts to walk you through it. I swear I'd get you back and running.

Everything is done, I haven't posted until now because it's my girlfriend's 21st birthday. Everything is running, I flashed a few roms on separate rom files via that SafeStrap. Turns out I DID have the wrong version. I appreciate the help. I ended up running to Walmart and buying an 8gb Samsung card and loaded everythingo n there then back on to my phone. From there, everything started working perfectly. Though, it did completely wipe my 128gb sd card with almost 20gb of photos and videos from the last two years. But, that's fine. I didn't like half of that stuff anyways.
Thank you again for the help. I purchased the XDA premium app on my phone to try and give back a little to the community.
ALL IS GOOD!!! My Note 3 is ballin' again. I also bought 2 Hard Bricked phones (in the same situation as mine) on Craiglist today for 120 a pop. Got the both of them running and I'm flipping them for 600ea tomorrow. I'll hopefully be able to send some of that back to the website that gave me the means to fix broken phones.
Thank you again man, such simplicity in the fixing but it made all the difference.

*edited* There was a question here about restoring from a bad brick from mixing up KK and JB files/roms. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701062 saved my ass. Please ignore.
Hello guys! So I bought a 64gb version of Nexus 6 just before new years eve and it started having issues in february. It got fully replaced by the service company for a new one. Yesterday my phone started complaining that I have insufficient storage. I checked how much memory I had and it said "32gb". So I'm using now a 32gb instead of a 64gb version which I was supposed to get from warranty. Nobody told me about the switch and the store where I bought it from said there has happened a mistake.
The thing that makes this tricky is that I've dropped the phone and the top layer of the screen is cracked. The screen itself works 100%, no color issues or issue tracking finger. It's just the top layer of protective glass that's bricked http://i.imgur.com/g6Se9dd.jpg They should contact on moday to me about this but what are really my options? If there never would had been a failure from their side, I would be living hapily with a 64gb bricked screen nexus 6 and have no issues. Do you think there are going to be more expenses for me due to their mistake?
Checked all papers over the issue. In the document over the repair, it states that they give me a new 64gb model of the phone.
One thing I started wondering about this morning. As me and my friend rooted my N6, we installed his stock image on it due to mine bugging out. He has a 32gb of N6. Could this affect it also? Both android system and disc checker app says I have left 23.03gb, aka. 32gb model.

Fastboot flashing the factory image will do this. To get your full 64gb of memory back, from bootloader do >
fastboot format userdata
NOTE: this will wipe the contents of your SDcard, so back it up on your PC first.
Yeah to echo the above, its quite common on the nexus to accidentally appear you have the smaller version after a flash...reflashing stock should fix it.
Doesn't it say which version you have in the bootloader?

No, there's no such thing as a wrong stock image. They're not storage-exclusive. Just a bad flash, it happens sometimes.

No, you didn't. This happens with the 64gb versions. Factory reset after flashing factory image usually prevents it.
So I guess, nandroid backup and then reinstall. The backup should get everything back so I don't need to spend 4 hours to set up my phone accounts/settings etc?

Not sure. Try it and see. Be sure to save it to your PC, as "fastboot format userdata" will wipe your SDcard.

the toolkit is where you made the mistake. you have to flash the factory image via fastboot while you are hooked up to a computer while you're in the bootloader. if you have no idea what you are doing, toolkits wont help you out. read how to do it right, thete are a few threads here explaining for you, in detail.

What happens when you try to reboot to Android? Your bootloader is locked so there isn't much you can do if you can't boot Android.
Do you have stock recovery or TWRP?
Tried quite a few options already in the Nexus Root Toolkit but without any results...
Anything specific I should give a try to hopefully let me sleep this night in peace?

try this via fastboot, and see if itll boot up. you have to be in the bootloader to use fastboot..
fastboot format cache
fastboot format userdata
then try booting up and enabling oem unlock.

try booting up. if you boot up, enable developer options, then go into them and enable oem unlocking. then you can unlock the bootloader and flash a factory image.

There's not much you can do. You're gonna have to factory reset because even if you unlock the boot loader at this point the phone is going to reset anyway.. You should always keep stuff that's important on the sd card not internal.
There may be a way using adb and a computer using adb pull but I think that's just for the sd card I don't know if you can navigate to internal using a pc because I don't have that type of issue.
Try hooking it up to the pc and see if you can get into the internal storage.

Try to boot into safe mode. As soon as you see the first HTC screen on boot up, hold the Down volume button and keep holding it until the phone boots or at least for about 15 seconds to see if it will work.

ADB won't work because I never enabled USB debugging, unless ADB pull doesn't require that. Computer doesn't see anything when it hangs. Safe mode was a no-go either :/ I don't have an SD card to put stuff on right now, although I really should've. Just didn't expect something like this to ever happen so suddenly. Thank you guys

The last thing I can think of is take it back to the place you bought it from, if that is possible. Especially if you didn't mod the phone. I've never heard of this problem.
I'm trying something really creative that I remember doing on an old One V. Starting the latest RUU, pulling the ROM from the temp files, placing it on an SD card, applying it in the stock recovery. It's a long shot, but its a shot. The only problem is knowing what to name the zip, update.zip doesn't seem to work.

Nothing of the sort, just browsing social media. News on what I tried: renamed the pulled ROM zip 0PCVIMG.zip and booted HBOOT. HBOOT accepted it as an update and I "updated" it, however, it wiped the phone. It's alive and well, but it's wiped. However, I'm left with something really off. The storage settings show 3.15GB of "other" on the internal storage, which I'm thinking might be my old data. My Files doesn't show anything as well as when hooked up to my PC. I'm going to be forever scratching my head on this as well.

That's basically the carriers crap/programs on there... Mine says that too but a bit less since I've gotten rid of a lot of bloatware.
May I ask how you managed to get the phone to accept that as an update?

I went through the official HTC RUU's temp files to find a zip called "rom.zip". I copied that to a clean SD card, renamed it to 0PCVIMG.zip (in HBOOT, it would check to see if those files were on the SD card before coming to the main screen), then the phone unzipped it and asked if I wanted to update. Thinking it would act as a normal update, I hit " yes". It took about 10 min to finish flashing in HBOOT (not recovery). It rebooted to a clean slate 510.

I was just curious because I thought you didn't have an sd card but glad it's working again albeit wiped.

Yeah I went out and bought one in hopes I could move everything to it. I've been using OTG drives for a while on everything else I have and thought SD cards were a pain, boy was I wrong.

The SD card for this phone is rather pretty important if you ask me because with the very limited amount of space we have on it is a major problem when it comes to installing a lot of the programs/apps we use... I think the SD card is a lifeline since it keeps the backups and personal stuff on it and if anything goes wrong that little card saves you lol...

I just factory reset my phone and I only have 2.75GB in Other. I wonder what that stuff is on your phone. What is 0PCVIMG.zip? Where did you get it from?

I ran the RUU for my phone and found its temp files by opening the process' file location. Scroll through the files and find rom.zip that the RUU creates. Wait for it to copy and then close the RUU. Renamed the rom.zip to 0PCVIMG.zip because of the model of the phone, and HBOOT looking for the image. As for the space, I have no idea either. I'm going to get it swapped out at best buy if I can.

I'm fairly certain that the 2.75GB of used space is your carriers bloatware crap.. It's even on it's own partition and you can gather that information from running adb shell and then cat proc/emmc
