Hey guys, I'm running on Elegancia Rom right now and I had just discovered that the Sense 5.5 update allows you to have your alarm clock turn on your phone so that it can ring even when it is off (powered down).
My mind is rather blown right now. If this is old news to you then you can just carry on and call me crazy. But WOW!

I cant say for certain. I'm a noob when it comes to all this. But it could be the source of why it isn't working for you.
ViperONE here, works good me. For those on 5.5 where it isn't working it is likely you don't have Fastboot turned on in settings. That is required for this to work.

when i did it the update installed fine, said your phone has been updated, but it didn't update the kernel for some reason, haven't figured that out yet, unless it has something to do with being unlocked, anyway the wifi was borked

I don't know why you want to take ota, but to do it properly. Lock your bootloader. Use ruu from this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40712553 Take ota. Then unlock bootloader, using the same token you got last time from htcdev.

Thanks all for the information, my phone works fine as is so I don't think I'm going to take the update until they release 4.2 for the HTC One.
At least now I know how to do it correctly so it doesn't fubar my phone

I'm still on 1.29.651.7 and my location services crapped out sometime on Friday. For me it coincided with the updated Google search. Google Now kept displaying a card after the search update saying that my location services were off. I tried wiping Dalvik/cache and even a factory reset. The reset fixed the Google Now issues, but the HTC weather app still errors stating it is unable to contact the location service.

Also, check the folder where your adb is located. It is probably there unless you deleted it after unlocking your bootloader.

There's the problem. CWM and rom manager don't play well with this device. Go to bootloader, open a command line and write fastboot erase cache. Then flash another recovery like wcx or twrp and all should be fine.
You also need to open said zip and get the boot.img out... and either use flashimg GUI or fastboot to install said boot img

Hi everybody!
I bought my new phone a week ago, It's a developer edition
I did all the regular phases:
Charged my phone till the LED was green
Turn it on and started the HTC file transfer tool
Entered my Gmail account
and then it got stuck, started a reboot loop not pasing the splash screen
I can get to the bootloader but more than that nothing
I read a lot of threads, tried them and none of them could help...
I was hoping someone would help me
I would like to keep the phone and not give it back
thanks and sorry it was so long!

The best I can think of is to flash another rom. Every time I have bricked my device, flashing the correct ROM has worked for me. Since your device is new and you have used the right RUU, I guess there is something wrong with the device.
You can consult nearby service center or call the helpline no. If there is a software bug they can fix it. They won't charge much for that.
EDIT: I just remembered that to restore from ruu the bootloader must be locked.

So i just flashed ViperROM for my Sprint HTC One and it seemed to install fine but when it boots up the touchscreen doesnt work so i cant even unlock my phone. Touchscreen works in TWRP so it must be a problem with the rom. Bad download maybe? Restoring a backup until i can find an answer.

Wait...if you installed ML1 then null_17 you're back to MK right? Null should be a full OS, so you just reverted back with the flash unless I'm missing something (which is possible).

It will wipe the watch.
