Hello,
Since now my XSP has no internet connection (i'm online over WLAN) and always if I go to settings and "more" and then to mobile networks comes the error "settings got stopped" so I cannot do it manually and it won't find network but at home I always have network connection. What can I do? Please help
Sorry for the mistakes I'm not the best in english.

That means I cannot write SMS or call someone or get a call. I think the SP diesn't knows really that the SIM-card is in.. Everytime I boot the phone there is no window for unlocking SIM so about the PIN. Maybe that is important to know?!

Do a factory reset
If a factory reset didn't work repair your phone with Update Service, PC Companion or Flashtool
If problem persists try with another SIM card, maybe its time to replace yours
Nothing worked? Replace phone or check out your warranty status
Okay I Made a factory reset but nothing happened :/ how Can I repair with flashtool?

Sorry
Hi,
I am sorry but I am new to this can you tell me how to know the ROM. BTW its recently upgraded to Android4.0.3...
Yea this is mostly because of tata docomo's ****ty network. The only way is to restart.
Go to select network operator and select TATA DOCOMO. It works sometimes . Not always
Press power button.... Activate flight mode then deactivate.... No need to reboot...
Hi @chintamanijaipuri,
I already tried this thing ..but it wont work..
I took it to service center they said its a software issue but after service also the problem still persists..this phone becomes boring without Internet..
Please tell me if it is network problem or any other issue...
I have attached a scrshot if u want to see the error
Go to apps, find the dialer app and clear cache and data. This will reconfigure you're data connection.
Sent from my Paranoid Android GT-N7000. It doesn't get much better than this!
Do u mean this??
Hi Spydertracks,
PFA ... did u mean this app ..but options for clearing data are disabled ...
Go to APN setting and reset to default it will let you pick your network provider after. Then, if this doesn't solve it, find the APN for your provider and manually insert them.

Not working
Hi Braxos,
tried this just now..not working...
So it was working and all of the sudden stopped? Ymmv did you try to remove the Sim card clean it abut and reapply it? And if you have another Sim try that too.

usually works
Hi Braxos,
It usually works but as the network goes and comes back say while I'm driving after that it won't come back again.
all apps who need net will show "network not available" the 'E' sign disappears from the phone.
after I restart it, it starts working...
does the sim card has any effect on this...?
It shouldn't have! That indicates to a bad radio or network in your area. Suggest to try a different provider and see if the problem persists. And Sim can influence the reception if it doesn't have a good contact to the motherboards pins.

No problem mate I hope it isn't the phones antenna and it is your provider/Sim card as you said you took it to a service center, and of your picture I see 2 from max 4 of the signal strength and assuming this isn't hspa! You should have at least edge speeds on it. Did you upgrade the firmware of the phone? Via kies! There was some firmwares with crappy modem.open settings go to about phone and post a screenshot of it plz
Thanks

Chk this scrchot attached..
I didn't updated it. i gave it to service center people they have done the upgrade..
Now open dialer and give *#0228# don't press anything just take a screenshot to see the mode of the network you are and the strength of the signal provided. At least for me the ics modem sucks, the lc1 on last GB German version was awesome.

check IF you have your IMEI number or read this , IF IMEI is correct, check your Network settings
you can get a rescue kit from My Android Collections and or a solution from My Android Solutions
But First powerdown, pull out Battery, SIM CARD, and EXT.SD card, press power button for a minute, than powerup without SIM and Ext.SD Card...make sure you have more than 50% battery charge before you attempt any sort of flashing.
Tried them all
Imei iw correct etc

Since it is being dropped and lost Network after that
This may occur because it’s connection to the Phone’s PCBA Motherboard is damaged or bad
you may need to dismantle and check all the contacts inside to solve the problem
Hi everyone,
I just bought a xperia v.
The question is, i tried to unlock the bootloader, but no blue LED!
When I go into service menu and check configuration for bootloader status... there is NOTHING!
When I insert an SIM Card I can enter my pin but have no signal!?
Does anyone have ideas how I could fix all this?
thanks
To unlock bootloader you need press the volume button on the up side when you increase volume then insert the usb cable.
If nothing else works then since I assume your smartphone is still locked then open pc companion, click start button from phone software update then click repair then continue the steps from there as I think maybe you should try install a clean firmware.
Hi thanks, for your quick reply. I did that already with Flashtool the latest 940 software. Should I try it again with pc companion?
Edit: Well, I tried with pc companion now, but it says that there is already the latest firmware installed!?
Any other idea?
I would really need some help guys! Does anyone know if the test point method works with the xperia V?
How can I give more details? I can attach some screenshots
I have connected my Xperia V with WiFi, suddenly there was a message that an update is available. I've accepted it, and now I have an app installed called "Dummy Application".... ANY IDEA?
Everything works, I just dont have network signal!???

That because you connected the usb cable straight away and turn your phone off then go through the steps I told you before connecting your smartphone to pc so do not connect your smartphone.
See screenshot steps below and click on blue colour circled.
I did that, but still nothing changed.
So you done ther repair job but the problem still exist?
AW: Xperia V Prototype?

Can you tell is it micro sim card you using or was it a normal sim card hence did you cut it with a sim card cutter by any chance please?
Would you have another micro sim card to put in or order some free pay as you go micro sim card or something to see if the problem is the sim card.
So might be the problem with your sim card itself.
Well, I've tried it with different micro sim cards from different providers. When I search for networks, I can see my home network, but as I try to login it says "Not able to register and so on."
Unter the battery is no information, wether IMEI or anything else. It is clearly a prototype!
I was able to flash any firmware with Flashtool, everything works fine, Wifi, Cam, Apps, but I just cant get any network signal.
Any other ideas, how to get it to work?
Well I afraid I cannot I done my best to help, not sure where you got this prototype clearly looked it an early version where it was used in an lab, the hardware inside has not been made yet to get the signal or it simply broken.
So where did you get this prototype?
I bought it from a person of a local internet shop, but gave it now back to him, because i tried almost every single micro sim card from various providers, and it just won't work. I think you could be right, perhaps it is a very early production or simply broken.
Thanks anyways
Edit: He used his own sim before, so I don't think it is broken.
Hello guys,
Today the phone's signal was gone, I restarted the phone and it didnt come back, but after leaving the area it came back. After that I tried to run a USSD code, the phone was making a call instead of running it, so I checked phone info in *#*#4636#*#* I found that IMEI is 0000000. Restarting didnt help.
One thing I did yesterday is changing preferred network type to LTE to see what happens in *#*#4636#*#*.
Im running 4.2.2 stock and no s-off. Can you please help?

Why don't you doble check that through adb with "fastboot getvar all" see what IMEI it shows there.
Did you buy this phone locally or from a carrier? Also, have you tried a factory reset?
*S¡gned
Do you have any backup of efs folder.?
hey, I just did a factory reset and it came back. Thanks

That's quite a common problem with Lollipop, hadn't come across it with MIUI (since my phone was less than a day with MIUI).
On Lollipop it manifested itself in several ways before a fix was devised (most ROMs are now OK), maybe this can help you both:
Greyed out signal bars/no network/emergency calls only/no data: go into Settings/Mobile Networks/Network Operators, and choose a network operator automatically.
No SIM (an icon of a SIM card where the signal bars should be): go into flight mode, reboot, then exit flight mode.
